How To Inject Methadone 25mg Pills

Updated

I was takeing hydromorph contin 24 mg 6 times a day intravenously, now i'm prescribed methadone pills 25 mg twice a day but i'm not sure how to take them or if its more dangerous than doing the hydromorph contin ones. if someone could tell me how to make the mix. Should i not be doing this type at all?

Taking with ANY type of pills intravenously is very dangerous.

Even if you filter it, there are still fillers that are not meant to be used by the human body. You are injecting these right into yourself and running the risk of embolisms and strokes.

Have you tried just swallowing the tablets, like you are supposed to?

what the hell is wrong with you??????!!! if you want to die dont post about it?!?! is getting high that freaking important to you?? how about living a good life? i am in constant pain due to fibromyalgia and i just started 10mgs a day of methadone and im freaked out just from swallowing it!! how could you ever ask anyone to tell you how to inject it?? you need to talk to your doctor, tell him the truth and then ask for a psychiatrist so you can figure out what the hell is wrong with you

Constant pain due to Fibromyalgia? LOL!! Fybromyalgia is a name given to patients that are constantly complaining of pain, yet all medical tests show that nothing is wrong with them. It should be called "The figment of your imagination" disease. Perhaps it's you that needs to see a therapist?

Just because someone chooses the method of injection rather than ingesting a pill does not mean they are suicidal or that they need a psychiatrist. A Psychiatrist is simply there to prescribe more medication... nothing more, nothing less. Still think he needs to see one? Perhaps he could benefit from a drug rehab tho.
My suggestion for you is that you come down off that high horse you're riding on, realize that chastising someone is only becoming part of the problem, & admit (at least to yourself) that you are not without problems of your own & are in no position to sit in judgement of anyone else.

Addiction is a medical & psychological illness. Instead of passing judgment on him/her, why not try & offer some help?

Ive only taken the 10mg ones once, and as far as i know, u just do it like n e thing else. but, the issue is, it leaves alot of s*** behind. so what i did when i did it and cudnt make it all dissolve, was just eat it after just in case there was n e thing left in the residue. i hate ppl who say s*** like these a**holes. people had a disease (myself) and its really hard to kick. like any kind of cancer, the s*** doesnt go away on its own, ive been in treatment 6 times. its not good, and most people who use iv end up dead, but be f***** supportive, and dont say n e thing. tell this person to go die? how about u go start doin drugs (which im sure uve tried) nd get addicted, then just stop. ill bet you anything you cant. and you, be careful please.

I have to agree with Rebbeca. I was married to an addict and watch them struggle to live a normal life. Putting someone down, screaming at them, demanding, forcing them, etc does nothing but push them to use even harder and gives them no urge to get clean. I had to learn to become their friend and try and help them, but I also agree that you can't force anyone to make their mind up that's what they want in life. Clean or Dirty! Most people who use is not because they choose to use it is because of their past and what has happened and until they get help for their past they will continue the road their own. Rehab would be next, then you need to change your old life style to a new one. Then that would include friends, home style, places and some family members. Always encourage the person and tell them you love them never turn your back.

Rebecca, all I can say about your post is"Well said".Suffering from fibromyalgia? Is that the new term for hypocondria?I really hope that person took a good look at your statement and used some of their abundent judgement and used it on themselves.Well played Ma'am.

I hope you reconsider booting your methadone. As alot of us can attest to,methadone is hard enoegh to kick when takin orally, let alone adding the phycological jones of having a needle in your arm.Now this is just my opinion but I don't think your going to get the buzz you got from the hydro from the 'done. You'd probably be disappionted in the long run.I don't know though.I don't know what your history with methadone is but be careful, the s*** is a beast to withdraw from, take it from an id**t that can't seem to kick it.Makes coming of H look easy. Not to mention it takes forever(up to 24 months too kick completely!)Be safe and I wish you luck.

drug addiction is NOT a disease. A disease is something you get without having a choice. You choose to shoot up and abuse pills. So, you still think its a disease? My niece has a disease called cancer and she did not go out on the street to get it. You had a choice and made the wrong one. Disease. I think they tell you its a disease to make you feel better. What a joke.

And most people who have a disease go to a doctor to get treated for it. If you had cancer you would see a doctor, right, But drug addicts dont want treatment for their so called disease. And who are you to say any type of pain is not real. Are you a doctor yourself, Rebecca? Funny, you will defend someone who shoots up but not someone with a real problem.

Drug addiction is a diease and it is a progressive diease once you become a drug addict the choice is taken from you and your mind tells you you need it no matter how it has messed up your life. once you become addicted your brain chemistry changes and you cant control your use no matter how hard you try,. there is also no cure to addiction except rehab and AA/NA mettings but you will never be cured i know an addict that had fifteen years clean and went out one night and never went back to being clean so to all you who dont believe it is a disease check it out in the medical community it is concidered a diease

Finally, someone with a bit a compassion. Taking drugs for fun is a small portion of the equation. For most of the time we're just trying to get back to normal. And if you don't think YOU ever mess up, you're either delusional or an ass. EVERYONE, messes up. So grow up and be glad you're not having to run drugs just to feel like putting off suicide for a day.

Kim, it is small minded non educated people like you that keep this country in the Dark ages as far as treating addiction. Alcoholism, Tobacco, Heroin, its all the same its a DISEASE Called Addiction. Judged to be so by the AMA , DSM IV. and many, many other Medical Journals, Professionals etc. As an ex- Heroin Addict I know all about you . You represent most of my family, friends and even some health care professionals. I have been clean for 10 years and it was a bi**h. Getting clean was the hardest thing I have ever experienced. I would rather give birth daily than go throw withdrawals. And just to let you know when I was 12 with a 157 IQ I did not ask or intend to become an addict.,(in recovery) Know your Facts before posting on such a personal subject

Drug addiction IS a disease! It's a horrible, debilitating, progressive and usually deadly one. People slay me; the people who claim it's "their own fault" would never think to say that to the obese woman with type 2 diabetes and hypertension who over ate her whole life. But drug addicts are 'suicidal' or 'just junkies with no self control'. Give me a break! This disease is responsible for thousands of deaths per year and these people need support and help, not ignorance and biggotry. And before anyone out there attacks me: I AM an addict (15 yrs) in recovery this time 3yrs. I have a child with CP and severe epilepsy AND I'm overweight! There,I think I covered all the criteria to know what the h*ll I'm talking about!

After reading all of your posts regarding injecting methadone I'm almost afraid to comment. But since I'm a woman can't keep my mouth shut. I have fibromyalgia and It got so bad I was looking to by a gun to take my life. Who ever thinks it's not real I wish you could live in the body of the people who have it for just one day. I have been taking op drugs for the last 10 years. I now have my life back This is more pain full then cancer
A year ago every one in my family was on the your addicted to drugs. You bet I was{ Legally ] It sure opened my eyes. When I was detoxed the final report was. See no signs of drug abuse in this woman. She will have to be on this type of drugs for the rest of her life. Now years and years ago I did everything Fast, slow, and everything I could get. With all the crap I did I was always able to just go through the bad days and stop. That's why I do believe what you are saying. Its the way our brains are wired.By the time I went into detox they told me I had almost detoxed my self. Now I'm not saying I'm any better than anyone else here but for some strange reason my brain must work differently than other people. Can't figure it out. With the op drugs when I miss a dose my body tells me, sweats, chills you know what I mean. Now to the injecting of the methadone. I'm not trying to judge you but I think It's a real mistake to do that. If you really have pain the methadone won't last as long . The other thing is some drugs are made so you can't do that. There used to be a sleeping pill years ago. Can't think of the name It was a green pill with liquid in it. Well tried to s---t it once I thought someone had put drano in side it. It burned all the way through my veins. The other thing is stay here for the people in your life who love you. Its easy for me to say that I'm not in your shoes. I remember only wanting that one more high just one more. Now that I really have a painful condition all I want is to be free from the 24x7 pain that goes along with my life. I hope you have at least one person in your life that makes you want to wake up and see the sun shine another day.Maybe you could try to get help. No one says I want to be a drug user. Life happens and for some of us life isn't a bowl of cherry's. I know I haven't answered you real question. But take it from a person who has been around the block to many times. Life will be so much better when you can see the sun come up more clearly.

Thank you Rebecca! I can't believe how insensitve some people can be. Just because someone has a "so-called" diagnosed medical condition doesn't mean that they should stomp all over someone elses feelings just because they are an addict. Any way; what kind of Dr. Prescribes a strong, addictive narcotic pain med for a chronic illness? Pretty soon you will be in tha same situation! Think about it!

I don't know where you get you information regarding fibromyalgia, but you sound like a person who has never had a chronic condition. Just in the off chance you can even read. You need to do some research on the subject. The medical Ass has finally listed this as a very real and debilitating disease. The pain that goes with it sometimes is even more than the pain of some cancer patients. Have you ever had the flu or a very high temp? The aches and pain you felt, well fibromyalgia feels like that but 1000 times worse. Sometimes the pain is so bad even my ear drums and eye balls feel like someone is sticking a knife in them.I have had babies, major surgery's. Nothing compares to the pain of this nasty disease. It would be a good idea to at least get yourself informed before telling someone their pain is all in their head.

Your not an addict, you have no idea. When I started taking Oxy 20 mg blew me away. Now I am taking 40mg 20 a day + Oxycocet, no euphoria! They just switched me to Methadone and I am slowly taking less and less OXY according to the pain I get. If you don't know what your talking about you shouldn't judge. You just end up sounding foolish to a lot of people on here.

For the person who said fibromyalgia is in your head, you're ignorant. I watched my grandmother suffer from it for years. She never took anything more then alive, but she was tough. But she was always in pain. Its a nerve problem. Unless you have had it you have no idea!

And pleanty of people shoot methadone, i think its stupid because you can just swallow it and feel good and be pain free.. you sound addicted to the routine of shooting up.. not so much the specific drug its self. I have heard of that.. methadone is a great way to get off drugs, and to relieve pain.. just swallow them

You think addicts want to be dependent on drugs ? I think not.

You ma'am are a c**t. Your a joke !
You don't know s**t about addiction let me educate you for the moment. Most addicts have endured physical/emotional abuse throughout their lives , mental Heath also plays a big part in addiction "using to feel normal". It's people like you who make this world a judgemental place. Addiction is a disease , opiate dependency effects your brain "way of thinking " and is physically dependent ask any doctor. If you were to get into a car accident or have any type of injury that requires an opiate based pain medication and take them as directed tell me you will not become addicted physically and mentally. You ignorant waste of skin. You don't addicts want to be dependent on drugs, I think not.
