How Long Does Suboxone Stay In System (Page 4)

How long before suboxone wears off? I have been on a maintenance dose for 2 months. 16mg a day. My last does was thursday of 12mg and today is monday still can't feel the opiates I have been taking since then????? how long before this stuff wears off??

There is a test for suboxone specifically. It will not show as an opiate, or sub doctors wouldn't be able to tell if you were using illegals, or your script for subs. I've been on it for 13 yrs., down to one-half to one 8/2 per day, and almost quit once.
I quit methadone in 95 when I was at 10mg., and it was hell, but I did it. Subs will not be as hard to quit.
You cannot live a normal life using. And there is no such thing as "recreational opiate use." Period. You have to stop.

Hi listen I read ur post and im in the same boat Im on the elmo electronic moinitering system cause im serving a sentence and I took a quater sobo and 72 hrs later got tested and they test for them I flushed do u think ill pass ppls reply it could result in going back jail

I have been on subutex for about 3 years now, and I am currently down to half a pill a day.. unless its a bad day, ill do a whole one. I am really wanting to get off of these sooooo bad!! The thing is I am only 19 and I have kept it a huge secret from my family that I do these so rehab is really not an option. There has only been 1 time ive tried to quit cold turkey from doing 3-4 a day. It was the worst experience ever. I was wondering if they're are any tips anyone could give me on how to make it easier on me/ my body. And about how long I will be sick for.
Please help!!
Im sooo tired of having to be dependent on a pill and I want to be clean soo bad. I hate it and will do anything to stop at this point.

im on post prison probation and I have been clean from heroin for 3 years and recently started using again for about a month and a half well I stopped and I used suboxone to do it it has been 6 days and 12 hours I took a home drug test last night and it was neg for opiats today when I did a ua for my po it was iffy the line on the test was faint so they sent it to the lab I think I should come clean with my po befor the results come back because I don't know if they will test for the subs or if I still have opiats in my system any thoughts

Happens all the time. I've had 2 doctors prescribe both. Long term drug users don't get high off suboxone so you can mix the two. Many people w addiction issues have underlying anxiety issues so low doses of xanax and Valium are prescribed all the time.

I tried suboxine for opiat addiction and it destroied me mentally I became so so depressed so I switched to methadone after a lot of thinling and I'm doing great I've even started decreasing my dose very slowly of course because I don't want to be counter productive I was nervous I would use it to get high but they have major rules in place now its nothing lile it use to be I'm so glad I finally stopped letting my fears keep me from trieing methadone people made it out to be something its jist not but best of luck to u if the subs keep u depressed give methadone a try I have always had a history of depression and since the methadone I've even been able to stop taking my antidepressants I couldn't believe it :) I hope my story helps u or anyone with there struggle

I respectfully disagree. I still have .02 in my system after 20 days. Suboxone is the devil. I was only taking 4 mg/day too.

You're misinformed. You said that "After that many days, it is definitely out of your system. " . . . are you joking? Suboxone has a VERY, VERY long half life . . . 20-70 hours depending on metabolism with the average being 37 hours. If the patient is OVER 25 y/o then typically it's closer to 40+ hours. So after 40 hours 50% remains, 80 hours 25%, 160 hours (almost 7 days) later 6.25% still remains. It can take up to 14-21 days before enough has been removed from your system to pass a drug test, and the drug still acts as on opioid receptors 5-7 days after your last dose.

I've takin' sub for about 3-4 yrs now. its always been a low dose maybe 1mg everyday. i have a drug test monday which will be sent away could i flush it out completely by then?? I'm scared.. HELP!!! please annswer asap.

I also always weighed 120 all while takin it.. so i was never big & worked out somewhat! Could it be flushed out by drinkin fluids & stuff with niacin in it???

If your serious they have 5 day detox kits. You just have to stay clean while you do it. Easier said then done, I know.

Just for basic Info.... I took a 8mg sublingual film Saturday morning once a while back and tested positive on a THURSDAY morning drug screen... Never had taken it before... So it can still be in your urine even if you have never taken it before.

That is a lie. There are many tests for subaxone. OTC tests, probation, parole and others. I've been tested and had it found in my system multiple times. Even after my physical detox was over, it still came up positive for sub for quite some time.
