How Long Does Suboxone Stay In System (Page 2)

How long before suboxone wears off? I have been on a maintenance dose for 2 months. 16mg a day. My last does was thursday of 12mg and today is monday still can't feel the opiates I have been taking since then????? how long before this stuff wears off??

I JUST GOT BACK FROM PAIN MNGMT IVE BEEN RECEIVING SHOTS FOR SUM SORT OF RELEIVE.IM GETTING NO KIND OF RESULTS.HE DID PRESCRIBE ME 10MG NORCO AND MS CONTIN 3O.I WAS DRIFTING ASLEEP WHILE STUDYING SO TOOK SUBOXEN TO COUNTER AFFECTS AND STAY AWAKE. JUST GOT BACK FROM DOC AND HE WONT PRESCRIBE ME ANY OF MY NARCOTICS.WHAT A DICK DOES HE THINK IM GETTING NEEDLES JABBED IN MY BACK WITH NO IDEA IF IT WILL HELP.IM RELLY PISSED NOW GOT CLASS FOR 7 HRS OF SITTING DOWN.DO U THINK HE CARES THAT IVE SPENT OVER TWO G'S AND NO RELEIF WHAT BULL S***.

There is a Suboxone test, trust me. I am in Drug Court and they test for it. It is not on the typical 12 panel. Also, my pain management doc tests for it because people will sell their pain pills and take suboxone instead cause the get more money for the pain meds. THERE IS A BUP TEST, YOUR DOC IS CLUELESS.

there are defiantly tests for suboxone...im in treatment right now and there are people there who get tested once a week for it.

I agree I was addicted to morphine so bad and no insurance so no place in tn. Would help me detox it was all about the money so I ended up in a methadone clinic I would have been fine in a month once I had detoxed. But no I was told if I left I would die. I was so scared and a year later when I couldn't pay they detoxed me to quick I could have died. Thank god I made it and am now clean. Use methadone or suboxone for a short time till your detoxing is done then whine your self off it works. I feel great and am doing good. Then cont. Counseling cuz the drug and rehabs will scare u just to get your money. Then when you can't pay they drop you on your ass. Everyone is different but a year is to long. I saw lifers and it was so scary. Good luck and god bless you can do it.

You can't get a doctor that will prescribe both subs and xanax. U are NEVER supposed to mix benzos with opiates. That's how most people over dose. Ur counselors pretty dumb if they think you should be taking both.

Yes there is don't belief anything different been taking mandatory drug screens to make sure it's in my system before my Dr would prescribe me more I've been drug tested for the last two years...

Your doctor should have told you NEVER to mix any Benzos With Suboxone. It is Fatal, I've known of people Dying Instantly

Austen, that is totally incorrect. Please stop with mis-infromation. The two can be taken together and unless although "instant" death is possible (due to allergic reaction) it is HIGHLY unlikely! You can definitely take benzos and opiates together. Yes it is possible that you will if you take a whole s*** load if each and od on them. If taken as perscribed you will have no problems! Ive been taken 40mgs of VALIUM and 130mgs of METHADONE every day for the last 2 years. Now I am detoxing & its the worst f***ing feeling ever! Its a nightmare 24 hours a day, for months! Do yourself a favor and detox off opiates right after your pain and dont abuse them cuz it will only get worst the longer you are addicted to them, trust me. I would almost rather be dead than have to feel like this!!

I'm Talking about Suboxone not methadone. My doctor said not to mix Suboxone and Benzos together. Its some sort of Reaction to the Chemicals. Or something like that. God I miss Methadone, I'm on suboxone now, but Really Miss the high from Dones. Suboxone's so Expencive. $6.50 per film to be exact. I was buyin dones for $3-4 a piece, Its almost worth just going back to methadone and Tappering off that way...

Yeah I dont think I would give the suboxone up either if its working! I heard detox from suboxone is bad or worse than oxy. Either way you can take benzo's with the suboxone or methadone (even though that can cause severe respiratory distress if misused) they are commonly prescribed together. Im sure your Doc knows his stuff but maybe it was a misunderstanding.

Hello. Not to be repetative but I have a similar question... I have been on 16 mg suboxone for 3 months (except I ran out last week and didn't have any opiates for 3 days). I took my last dose of an 8 mg dose yesterday morning, about 32 hours ago. When will it get out of my system? I hurt myself and I have some 30 mgs roxi's/oxycodone's. I have not taken anything and I don't plan to until Thursday or Friday. Is that sufficient time? I know I've been on it a while but last week I went 3-4 days without a suboxone til Friday, and stopped Tuesday morn (yesterday). I'm on 2 (8mg) films a day. I want to feel the effects of my oxys so not to waste them. I read a while ago about white grapefruit juice, so I'm pounding that today & tomorrow with water to help get the naloxone out. Am I being dumb or is the grapefruit juice helping the bup stick to my censors? Any advice will help, thanks. I was thinking of taking a niaspan (niacin release tab). I also usually take folic acid & sublingual vitamin B (has niacin in it too). Thanks!

I was on subs for 2 years almost and my kids got taken so i quit cold Turkey so i can get my beautiful babies bk..anyhow i take drug tests 2 times a week well my first screen tested positive for subs after 6 days of being clean so we waited about 2 weeks it was still there after 21 days it was out my system ...i think it depends on how long u take it and how much i did about 2 lines a day i snorted mine ...but i think if u have been clean for about a month an take just a quarter then it would b out in 3 days ..when your taking something everyday for a long time period its not gonna b out for 20 days i know bc that's how long it took for me and the tests look like pregnancy tests it shows to lines if positive ...and there is no other way to test for it other than that so if your not being drug test at the daily report center or probation officer then it want show its a special test..I've been screened at hospitals an it want show unless like i said your on probation or something oh an the withdrawals are awful its been 2 months an.im still sick ide rather come off 80s then subs its freaking ruff good luck people hope this helps

Good news: the suboxone was out of my system in 2 days. (48 hours). i took oxy's and they worked! woohoo now i'm back on the subs. i won't go back to how i was before (the oxys ruled my life) and even tho i slipped up i havent been obsessing about em. woohoo!

me too, but i took a test for fccs and 4 times tested positive and i take about 1.5 mgs a day alot more people r testing for bupe. and trust me it does show up. I now have to complete a drug treatment program because they weren't prescribed to me
