Also j/m.. the First Check drug screen did not show ANY trace of me taking Opana ER 2x / day and Vicodin ES 4x / day, under OPIATES. So if u grab the test that only shows up "Opiates" (any less than 12 panel from what is in local drug stores by me), and it shows u are "clean", it is a false sense of hope. You will fail a lab screen for sure. Hope this helps.

Seriously tho.. as fun as they are, anything can eff up a persons live w/o moderation. And I do NOT mean moderation as in, "Oh I only do 2 bag shots 2x / day". THAT'S NOT moderating.. that's justifying or rationalizing.

Mr.Hawk, I am on prescription oxy, 60 mg a day for two back surgeries. New laws now makes anyone with a prescription narcotic must give a standard urine test upon prescript being re-filled. Just wonder if the test simply shows what type of drug is in your system or do they detail exactly how much of it is in the system? Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

Typically they do that as a physician precaution. Idk exact details but I too receive them randomly but the ones @ my physician's office is to check more in depth of the concentration lvls so to ensure you are not selling the CII's or abusing them. I've come up w weed in me n had no issues once b4, but it is best to not even have that in u bc it I all dependent of your relationship w your pain mgmt Dr and some will not tolerate any mixing of illicit drugs. But to give my best response to that question, it shows the concentration of and mixing of drugs in ur system to help treat u and cover their a**es too. Honestly I don't blame them. Bc if I had gone to school as long as most MD's or DO's I personally wouldn't Anna have a death or OD on my concience either.. esp when one eff up could make them lose their schooling / license by one addict Effin up. Google medication concentration calculations and read up on it tho. They typically base these lab tests in ng/mL.

Now in these terms, if you have something risky in ur system, such as cocaine, heroin, etc.. I can guarantee the physician WILL cut you off pain meds or refer you u to opiate replacement therapy, bc unlike weed, those illicits have a HIGH probability of overdose mixing with Rx meds.
Reguardless, it all depends on quite a few factors.

i have recently been on suboxone and methadone both but i have to find a new doctor. I couldn't find anything so i took an opana 20mg on a monday....which did absolutely Nothing to me. But i had a drug screen on wednesday and i think the opana still was in my system. do you think when they send it off to the lab that there will be enough in my system to detect?

I have been a pacient who recieves opiates for more than five years. I am drug screened monthly and am informed of the results afterwards. The doctor tests and then informs me of what drug was found in my urine and how much of each drug. For example the doctor can tell wether I take my meds as prescribed or if I just took a pill that morning just to have it in my system. Some people believe that all opiates show up the same in a drug screening.That is not true because if they did then doctors would not drug screen, they want to know exactly which opiate you took and how much of it. For example if you are prescribed lortab and take a perocet you will fail a drug screen. I just want people to know the facts about opiates so they will not get into trouble with their doctor. In other words all opiates do not show up as the same medication on a urine test. Don't take opinions find the facts to make sure you will not get into trouble. Good luck

If your going to a Dr for Subs then you want to have smthing in your system! I've been on Subs for about 5 months now and when I first went everyone told me to make sure I had something in my system so that the Dr could see that I was using!

okay so what your all saying is; if snorting pills, they go through your system faster than popping them? and i see that by what you all are saying that opanas leave your system faster than a roxy....? if so, help. my man snorted 45 mg of roxy two days ago, has a drug test today. hes drinking water and taking a cvs drug test to make sure hes ok but im still worried. hes not active and his metabolism is very slow. what can we do

let's get this straight some people on here know what they are talking about and some don't, Opana's will not test possitive as opiates it is an opioid agonist, now i''m waiting for the person who thinks they know their s*** to say an opioid is an opiate but its not....an opiate is an opioid but an opioid is not an opiate learn your s*** before you give people info. if you are not taking a 10 panel test or higher it will not show up it has to test for oxy, i get tested 5 days a week through my outpatient for drug court, and i pass every single time i have never once failed a test and i do opanas every single day, the only time i have to worry is when i go to drug court once a month and they give us 12 panels, so thats from my personal experience if anything i stated is wrong about facts it doesn't matter because i know from experience idk anyone who takes 5 tests a week besides me and i have never once failed a drug test for opiates and i strictly do opanas so all you people who know everything explain that to me please if opana do somehow show up as opiates cause its never happend for me in over a year

So check this out where I live if ppl find out u are on a narcotic pain med they hound u for it and when u a) deny u are on it they won't leave u alone until u admit to it. B) they call your doctor once they figure out where u go. So I today had to provide proof my family and I are going on vacation tomorrow so I brought the hotel reservations into my docs office and the nurse says well the doc wants u to submit a urine test before he will write your scripts I didn't make a big deal all I said was ok but now I'm leaving tomorrow and the test takes 3 to 4 days to come back so how will I get my scripts the nurse says in this case we can mail them to a pharmacy close to where u will be so after thinking about this I said what if they don't have my meds there or otherwise enough to fill them I don't want to be running around to a bunch of pharmacys so I call them back and tell them its simple I won't Å‚eave until my urine test is back and I can take care of filling my meds. So long story short problem is I'm on morphine Er 30mg twice a day and diludid 4mg four times a day for break through pain so the past couple of days I haven't taken my morphine as I didnt like the way it was making me feel but have been taking my diludid everyday so this am before I headed to the office I took 4mg of diludid and a half tab of morphine well in worried now when my test comes back my levels are going to be really low from not taking the morphine for a few days and that my doc is going to cut me off so yes I have read on hear they can tell how much is in ur system and all that so does anyone know what will be the outcome if I only have taking a half of morphine today and not any in the three days prior I wanted to talk to my doc about this the nxt time I saw him but I only get to see him every three months as policy is when u are due u call in three days ahead and then go pick it up and on the third month u have office visit and urine test but someone decided to call my docs office and say I abuse other prescription drugs that are not perscribed to me so I had to pee in advance any input or advice would be appreciated I'm not looking for comments from ppl whom try to screw the system and test and abuse drugs then do tricks to pee clean or make drugs appear in their urine by holding a pill over cup and peeing on it like I read earlier.

Okay..? First thing.. you are obviously nervous reguarding something to do with your Rx's. And you are rambling like SWIM when SWIM was 'over-medicated' or taking them incorrectly. If you go on speaking with the Dr or their office the way you ramble in posts is one reason this office isn't lienent with you. Ive never had a problem with giving them adequate notice of a vacation (so not to rush them) and getting the situation handled b4 leaving. They'd write out an early or post dated one and I didn't abuse it. Didn't go in all obvious bout being a space cadet, for visit or pickup. Id guess that some doctors are tighter but I personally haven't came across that. Other than that, when it comes to UA's, if its not prescribed to u, don't take it.. then dont worry. If you have a question or r trying to convince anyone your case, 99% of the time, you did something you shouldn't have. That's fine, but to everyone that posts with a question remember... if you can't be 1oo% honest with us about your.situation, our answers can never be to 1oo% of our ability to answer. That makes asking useless unless you are looking for false hopes.

Sorry to go on about this post. I could b incorrect, but imo dude's gotta relax n not do important stuff w a cloudy mind. Best of luck with the situation. Its a bit late for meh. Already light out. Gnite all.

Honestly.. if its your first time w this problem, I recall someone who took illicit & Rx'd drugs and their doctor issued more random tests. If u show probs then they take further action. You should be fine with it as a first offense. I hadda ramble myself thinking bout ppl that you touched on @ tn

No, Opana is NOT morphine and oxycodone. It's oxymorphone a different chemical all together. Anyway it depends on how specific the drug test is that you are taking. Generally, opana or oxymorphone will show up under just the opiates tab on a test

Yes Drew, we have covered that multiple times on here already. Oxymorphone was developed quite some time back, I believe in teh 7o's, as an IV medication used for pain management in hospitals. It had lost popularity over teh following decade until it was reformulated by Endo Pharmaceuticals into a tablet form in teh 9o's. (I'm not 1oo% on this but am pretty sure). Once developed, it has cornered teh market as Opana to teh public. As you've covered, it is absolutely NOT oxycodone and morphine mixed. Nor does it break down into these components hepatically.

Lastly, idk how many times I need to reiterate this fact on this same post.. oxymorphone shows up as an Opioid. Not an Opiate. I know this from multiple first hand accounts. There has been times that teh person(s) supervising meh had even tried saying I had NO medication in muh system bc of this simple mess up. Unless you test for Opioids, you can miss out on Opana, Dilaudid, Vicodin, Percocet and all other medications containing their active ingredients. Opiate drug screens will only show basic, naturally occurring substances or alkaloids such as Codeine, Morphine, and Diacetyl Morphine(Heroin). But many people that are actually IN teh field of testing for these things don't even understand teh latter. I only know bc I've personally went through s*** storms reguarding these matters. After trial & error along with MUCH studying plus going to speak with medical professionals/specialists.. I came out only partially scathed but with more knowledge than most need.

Anyway, if anyone REALLY wants answers to pressing issues, go ask a phlebotomist as I had. They will give you cold hard truth. Which is what most these ppl asking stuff in forums need, rather than this pick & choose method of easing consciences via sugar coated bulls***.

No there is noways to beat the test you are getting. Take some more drugs and stretch yourself out up until teh test. No it doesnt if its a instant test itll work if it goes to a lab they can tell cus it shoes up different if its jus dissolved in the pee or been thru ur system i kow cus i wrk for a lab n do the testing n it is about 72 hrs to get outta ur system no matter how much u take good luck hope this helps u guys out

Azo standards will affect it but u have to allow enough time to b peeing clear again or u will show a very high amount due to it flushin out the toxins in ur system n im a tech at a lab for runnin these tests so believe me when i say itll wrk seen it many times good luck
