I have taken 35mg of methadone today, and i have a urine drung test coming up, how long will it take to get out of my urine?

To bigchap 64, I thought you said you quit methadone 8 days before you made the switch to suboxone, and I just saw it was 3, sorry. I still would love some input on how long I should wait to make the switch from done to subs, don't want to go through precipitated withdraws. Thanks again! :-)

Hi Big Chap 64, I have looked EVERYWHERE online for SOMEONE to talk too who knows my situation, and I think your the closest I have found. I have been going to a clinic for eight Years and taking 120mg methadone everyday. I am moving out of town for a new job and I have a doctor where I'm moving that is going to help me transition to suboxone. Problem is, I'm SCARED TO DEATH about taking suboxone after taking methadone for so many years. I'm not going to have time to taper for weeks and come down to a lower mg before I start on suboxone, I'll only have about 8 to ten days. I have gone through precipitated withdraws before after I waited only three days to start suboxone, I tried this on my own, because I was so SICK of going to the clinic, several people told me I would be fine after three days to transition, but IT WAS SO NIGHT FINE! It SPUN MY BUTT INTO SEVERE WITHDRAWS, SO BAD I had to BEG a friend for a few methadone, just to come out if the withdraw HELL I put myself in!!! I know I should have Been under the care of a doctor, but where I live, the FEW Suboxone doctors cost twice what the clinic cost, so I've kinda been stuck. Anyway, I HAVE TO switch soon and I wondered if you had many problems when you made the switch after eight days? Was the methadone out of your system enough to make the switch without going through pure hell? And did you EVER start feeling better after being in suboxone for a while? I know I can ask this new doctor this stuff, but I want to know from someone who knows first hand how it feels. I hope your doing well, I KNOW what a NIGHTMARE coming of methadone is!!! Or if ANYONE ELSE has had a simular situation or knows someone who has, your input is GREATLY appreciated!!!! Thank so much!!!!

I was on 30 mg methadone for 10 yrs & 2 weeks ago my dr wanted me to try oxycontin 40mg!ugh! After day 3, I was @ urgent care full blown withdrawals. Worse than anything I've ever endured. I have back on & failed knee replacement surgery so NO meds are option. Anyone tell me what helps them* I'm allergic to percocet, oxy ,fentanyl. Im still on hydrocodone but need to have longer lasting ! Thanks for any help!

The best thing for you, being Prego would be Chlonodine. You need a Rx for it but you PCP would write the Rx for you.

I was on Methadone for 13 months on 80mg I started to go down slowly,I stopped at 3mg And haven't dose in three days when will I feel ok.I am not feeling that bad as if I stopped cold turkey.

I took a methadone 10 mg on Monday. Then I took 5 mg on tuesday.Took 5 mg on Wednesday. Took 5 mg on Thursday. And 5 mg on Friday. How long will it be until I can pass a urine test.??? Plz respond as soon as possible. Thank you.

I'm surprised you didn't test positive last time. You must have a super fast metabolism. If you have it available to you, start taking it as much as you can, especially the few days before your appointment

I have a doctors appointment on 7/14 on what date sure i start taking 10mg of methadone 3 times aday so it can be in my system. By the way i drink a lot of tea about 4 glasses a day in the past it wasn't found in my system tell me what sure i do.
