I have taken 35mg of methadone today, and i have a urine drung test coming up, how long will it take to get out of my urine?

methadone does show up differently b/c on a 10 panel test it will look specifically for that so im sorry to tell you this my friend but you are busted it takes at least a week for methadone to get out of your system.i am a med student so i assure you what i am saying is true,and most doc offices use the 10 panel test,but they can actually test for each specific opiate w/ some tests,like hydrocodone,oxycodone,hydromorphone,morphine,but most just do a standard opiate plus a methadone,thc,cocaine,benzo,amphetamines,barbituates,mdma,and two others hallucinagens and something else

Depening on how many panels the drug screening is it.may just show up as opiates in a 6 panel test. In a 12 panel it would not.

depending on the test yes.. but a month is not long at all for methadone staying in the system methadone is in the body in many ways as its taken daily its in your blood and urine and fat cells and the list is to long

I'm not 100% re:methadone, but I believe it would apply as much as other pain medications... AND TO BE CLEAR I'M NOT DISPENSING ADVICE, I'M TELLING U WHAT HAPPENED TO ME... I take heavy duty pain rx due to a physical condition, & they were stolen recently. I have a full-time job I was close to losing & small children to keep up with. So after a few days I became desperate & borrowed different pain meds from a friend. The day of my dr. appt, a couple hours prior I started drinking massive amts of water & about 30-60 minutes b4 my test I took 80mg Lassix + potassium (which I'm prescribed@40mg for frequent edema). Also, I made sure to void @least a couple times b4 my UA. (FYI- in this situation, never give a sample of 1st few "voids" of the day [all ur levels will be higher/more concentrated]. AND don't catch the beginning or end of the stream, instead collect only the middle portion of the urine stream.) They had issue with the clear color & different ph levels, but I explained I had a flare of edema & took my Lassix; also claiming wicked thirst & having drank lots of water/fluid is a valid excuse. The worst they'll usually do is retest u L8r (which gives u time 2 get whatever out of ur system- it helps to exercise & stay physically active; boosting ur metabolism etc.) Though if u have a strict clinic or a history of issues (or have tried this with ur UA b4), I'm pretty sure they can choose to have bloodwork done...in which case u'd better start thinking of a semi-believable & unique explanation (i.e. not over-used by pain clinic patients). Lassix aside- (though it makes an infinite difference, was very key for me & is a much more reliable way of covering for bad situations or slip-ups like these)... REMEMBER: LOTS of activity & exercise every day up to ur UA, drink lots of water the day of/hours leading to up 2 ur test, empty ur bladder many times b4 u give ur sample (the later in the day, the better) & never catch the first or last portion of the stream: mid-stream only.
Important note: Taking Lassix if it's not prescribed to u by a doctor (or w/o potassium) can be dangerous, depending on ur health & any medical conditions u have...
But these other tips can sometimes make the difference between a positive & negative tox screen. Good luck to anyone needing it- & I hope the original person who posted this question got thru it ok!

I just like all the things i see here about failing tests flush passed test for probation for a year did slip up and do a year and another 2 years not flushing and used the entire time without failing for anything well timing and FDA site is probably the most accurate but can still change depending on the person

I took 30 mg of methadone on July 11th and I have to go to my P.O to get a mouth swob August 1 but I am prescribed roxy 30's and xanx which she knows I take for my back because I was in a bad accident will the methadone show up with the mouth swob

I took a 5 mg methadone yesterday @10. @36 hrs have passed and I weight 300 lbs. I have drank a lot and are peeing constantly. Will the methadone still show up? If so given such a low dosage can it be explained away given the oxycodone I'm taking? I will be pissing in 15 minutes. Pls respond...

So here is my story, I am on 80mg oxy in the morning. At night I only take a 60 mg. Also I take 2 perc 7.5 for breakthrough pain. However I am getting little to no relief from pain on this combination of meds my Dr, at the pain clinic has me prescribed,so I been taking a "friends" methadone to help. I'm taking between 6-10 10mg of these with my regular meds. Thing is I have a UA coming up in 10 days so I did stop the methadone. Will this allow enough time to get the methadone out of my system so I don't fail and get cut off my other meds?

I took one 5 mg of methadone. I have a test on the 4th of sept. I usually take oxy 60s . I weigh 230. Please help cause im on probation at the drs.

Because methadone is synthetic is doesn't show up as an opiate like oxy. methadone is tested for completely seperate. If they're doing a 5 panel test they won't test for it, but if it's 10 panel they will.

I been on methadone on n off for the past 10yrs. This time around, its ben 3yrs @ the clinic everyday (140mgs), started having trouble sleeping, found doc put me on xanax, phenrgran (boosts meth..nice :) ) n seraquel. Now I'm screwed cuz every am I have worst withdrawl til I get medicated again 4 that day. If poss, stay off it all! Plzzzz listen! Unless u need stability 2 function, i'd stay FAR AWAY GUYS. :0(

Methadone has to be tested for SPECIFICALLY! IT WILL NOT SHOW ON A REGULAR TOXIC SCREEN. NOT EVEN FOR OPIATES. YOU'RE FINE!!!

bulls***!...I tested positive 22 days after taking 3-15 mg. tabs. of methadone!...thats 3 weeks later!!! it stays in you a very long time!

A lot of foods such as, poppy seeds and ect. Will cause u to test positive for opiates, I believe u can look up what foods have a small about of opiates in them. Lk lettuce and a few other veggies has a "x" amount of THC in them and if u eat enough of it, it can cause u to test positive for weed. I hope that helped a little bit, sorry I don't have more info for u. Haha

I have been taking 120 mg of it for a Long while and from what I have read N learned on it (Some info id First Hand) it will take one to two months @ Least to be clean!!!
It Builds up in youre system and takes its time getting out.
