wow that's something else I wonder if it's the cause of my not sleeping I'm still taking 150mg twice a day and would it cause a person to have erectile dysfunction ? or numbness in your privates ? thank you

I took lyrica today for the first time, 50mg, at around 7 this morning. Doctor wanted me to try it due to my nerve pain from spinal stenosis and herniated discs, and I'll not ever take another one. I got really loopy, right arm started to twitch, face and body got red and hot, my anxiety kicked in so hard, a blood vessel in my right eye busted. Also gave me an extremely bad head pressure/pain. I couldn't hardly walk or carry on a conversation. I tried to just sleep it off but my heart was racing and the hot flashes were terrible. All this over one stupid pill. I'll never touch lyrica again

I have been off Lyrica for 6 weeks now and I am only just starting to feel better. I have been waking up every hour. Cold and shivery, trembley legs, feeling sick , lethargic . Irritable , not enjoying anything. Had hypnotherapy , didn't helpat all. Couldn't go to work. Still off sick.only wake up once in the night now.

Hi I am taking 450mg of Lyrica 150mg 3 times a day for phantom pain for I'm a Bilateral above the knee well now I have a new problem which is that all of a sudden I have E.D. I feel very numb my urologist gave me 100 mg of Viagra and it had not affect, I believe it may be due to the Lyrica I would like to know if there's another pill that I can take with the Lyrica to return me to my normal self. Please any help Appreciated thank you

Oh thank you so much. I had crazy side effects. Like you I can't sleep. I'm crazy hot, just like when I was on it. My moods are terrible and I can't breath properly, nauseous, nervous, so tired, overall I don't feel like myself and I feel horrible. I'm in a fibromyalgia flare and out of remission with chrons and ulcerative colitis so I am in pain everywhere :-(. So thank you so much for the helpful information. I am greatful. I have been on Lyrica for about 8 years. I started having a lot of swelling a few years ago and thought it was due to going through the change but it was Lyrica and it's been terrible at times. So bad my feet would burn like the skin was tearing. Propping my feet above my heart and using ice packs was the only thing that helped.

I have only been on lurica for 3 days and had to completly stop ir. I am experiencing anger, everything angers me and i just cant stand being in my own skin. While the taking it I couldnt breath, headaches and my feet hurt so bad I wanted to cut them off. This is NOT a good medication for me anyway.

I can definitely relate. I was stepped up to 450mg a day in 3 150mg pills. I'm down to 1 every other day and I can already feel what you're talkin about. I had the painful nerves in my back cauterized and didn't need Lyrica anymore, unfortunately I think it still needs me.

Hi to everyone. I strongly suggest you stay well clear from pregabalin. I was totally hooked on this drug for 9yrs. It makes u feel happy to begin with but not for long. I've had 5 friends lose their life to this drug. The withdrawals r something else Flu symptoms, nausea, chest pain, racing heart, headaches, diarrhea and suicide thorts They have been so many death's l and suicides on this drug. I'm a year off and I'd say it took a good 3 months to come rite. I've got Gastro oesophagal reflux disease due to this medication....

You don't know what you're talking about. Every person is different and won't have the same side effects that you experienced. For example: I've been on and off it twice and never got suicidal. I take 600mg a day now and the only thing that happens to me is I want to get up and do a lot of things. -Glenn

However you might be tested by a pain specialist/ prescriber to see if you're actually taking it. It is a controlled substance(V in the U.S. which is as low as it gets) which is why and is very addictive for some people. Best of luck.

I've had 500 to 100 a day for 8 months. I have had about 9 stones all my adult life but I gained three stones in about 5 months of Lyrica, pre gab akin. I liked the effects at first then after a while they stopped having the desired effect and I stopped taking them. Well I didn't know what had hit me. I was exhausted but couldn't sleep, after 2 days I hardly had the energy to walk, about to go to the toilet, get a wash or even make a cup of tea. The worst thing was feeling really spaced out and grippy. I was frightened and I felt terrible, the time went by so slowly. I went for 5 day without it and they were the longest days of my life a I could almost see my aura I was hallucinating and I couldn't get it together to even have a bath or get something to eat and I started thinking I was Going to die. And I couldn't stop thinking about how bad they are for you. I felt so ill I thought I was going to have a stroke or a fit or a heart attack. I had to go back on them. I'm still on 500 mg a day and I hate it. I'm bloated and my legs are stiff and sore. I can't walk far before my lower back starts to ache badly. I have to rest intermittently all the way back to where I'm going. I've told my Doctor and there is nothing he can do. There is not a Methadone equivalent that I can take so I'm stuck until I've got the guts to go through withdrawals and come off them. I hate myself and I know it is my own fault for starting to take them but what can I do?
