If it is a 15mg ms contin taken 2x/daily, extended release? My Dr. Tested me on day 3 after last dose & said I didn't have it in my system - when I HAD taken mine right! He has a habit of shorting me 2-6 days per month *accidentally", but still drug tests you when he did not give you a full supply in between appts! I took my last dose as scheduled & 3 days later when I saw him it was not in my system like he said it should have been.

Anywhere from 5-90 days will show up in the hair test. Hair tests should be used to identify repeated, chronic, or binge usage over an extended time frame.

Anywhere from 5-90 days will show up in the hair test. Hair tests should be used to identify repeated, chronic, or binge usage over an extended time frame. If you took it only for 4 days, they'll be able to tell that. I really think they are looking for more than just a little blip. I wouldn't worry that much, but I'd have an explanation ready if it came up.

3-5 days, depending on type of urine test. Some are more thorough than others. And if they send to lab for gas test, could actually be longer depending on if you only took once or if you take on daily/regular basis. The more you take and the longer you've taken, depending on body type, the longer in system. Anyway, 3-5 days is the rule of thumb when it comes to opiates and most other drugs, Marijuana and benzos being a couple of exceptions, they usually stay longer. 24 hours, nope, sorry, that is absolutely wrong and misleading.

Well I took ms contin for 8 years. 30mg 2xs a day. I had a hair follicle test for a job & the lady literally cut a four inch section off. She only needed a shoe lace width. Anyway I was ready for my positive test for that,Valium and oxycodone. Morphine never showed! In my hair! I took it that day even. Just blows my mind. The oxy showed up but not the morphine. Crazy.

What you need to have checked ( after having taken ms contin for 16 yrs) is your liver and liver enzyme count. Some doctors check that some only chrck it if requested. If there is any damage done after such a long term use, it will likely be to your liver.
