How Long Does Heroin Stay Your Urine

If I take 100mg of methadone &used monday about 1gm. Will I come out positive for heroin Thur? Also on meds that say it knocks out heroin Will I still come out positive.

Daily heroine user with last use was sun. At noon. Need to take a urine mon morning. Drinkining a little bit of water with normal activities. Will i piss clean.

No, you should be good if you drink a lot of water but let me tell you, when you do decide to come off that methadone get ready for one HELLOFA ride cuz I was on 90 mls for eight months and I physically withdrew for a month and a half and still had the sneezes for another month.. Good luck and get off that methadone cuz it's not the way I promise you that..

I'm not trying to scare you but you more than likely fail because I was a regular H user and then I got clean and started going to a methadone clinic I went to my first visit exactly 3 days after I used H and still tested positive

Hi I'm a chronic pain patient since I was 14. I am 37 now. I have fibromyalgia and several herniated disc as well as bone spurs and spinal stenosis. I moved 9 yrs ago to Phoenix from Tucson approx. 120 mi. My doc gave me 3 months worth of post dated scripts to take with me until I could find another doctor. I had no luck they treated me like an addict which is something I'm used to bc this started when I was 12 and have been accused of lying or being dismissed as a hormonal teen who wants attention or an out right drug seeker! It wasn't until it got really bad and my dad was taking me to ER 3-5 times a week bc they thought at 14 I was having heart attacks. Anyhow I finally found a compassionate knowledgeable doc who gave me a diagnosis and treated my pain and became fully functional again as before when I was a star athlete. So in my mid 20's I had to move to Phoenix from Tucson about 120 mi. My doc gave me 3 months of post dated scripts to hold me over until I found another doctor. Unfortunately I was treated as a drug seeker which I was terrified I would be bc of my previous years of experience. So one of my scripts was 90mgs of methadone a day and I'd been one it for 10 yrs at that point I had medical history they could check from the time I was 14 but the many docs refused and I was running out of time I realized I wasn't going to get help so I tried to ween myself off but I just didn't have enough to do it over a proper length of time my only option was to go to an in patient detox. I called they told me to wait until I was so sick I could barely walk so they would admit me fast. Finally I was that sick they picked me up and I still had to wait 4-5 hours it was beyond unbearable I wanted to die just to make it stop! I've never done heroine or been addicted to opiates but I did work outreach with homeless vets who were also on drugs mostly heroine and they always told me that kicking methadone is worse than kicking heroine. I never accused them of lying but I wondered to myself if they were just making excuses bc they wanted to keep doing drugs? But over the years I heard this time and time again I heard it from ppl who were now clean even so I started questioning it. Then I saw a documentary on netflix called methadonia and things started making sense! When I went I to that detox years ago it was bc I was out of methadone and going cold turkey and beside the fact that I wanted to die to make it stop I knew how dangerous it was it could kill me and not quick! Luckily when I went in they had just started using a brand new drug to get ppl off opiates, heroine and methadone.

It was called suboxone. As soon as I took it under my you he and it dissolved within minutes the nausea was gone the hot and cold sweats the shaking the involuntary almost seziure like movements my whole body was doing and was making my pain worse! But it worked! And fast! It didn't help my pain but tool care of all the withdrawal symptoms in minutes! I finally slept, ate went to the restroom normally! If u r struggling with heroine or any other opiate addiction even methadone this stuff was amazing! At the time suboxone was new there was only one doc in all of the massive city of Phoenix perscribing it. Shortly after my stay in detox I realized I wouldn't receive any help for my pain issues so I had to move back to Tucson. I only had 2 weeks of suboxone left and my appointment wasn't for another month. I was scared bc I knew I'd be going off cold turkey. But my fears were quieted when no withdrawal symptoms happened! I had my pain I'd been dealing with but no withdrawals! I had a good friend about 4 years ago who admitted to me she was addicted to opiates and used to do heroine. She knew I had been put on methadone to help manage my chronic pain and she begged me for weeks to let her buy some. I told her no 1: bc I'm not a doctor and I don't know what the right amount of methadone was for the drugs and heroine she was taking and 2: I could kill her! I could never be responsible for that! As much as I felt for her and wanted to help her I couldn't give her my meds, besides I needed them to manage my own pain. I asked if she had looked into an outpatient treatment program. I knew of several from the outreach work I had done. She said yes but they only wanted to give her suboxone instead of methadone??? I said have u ever been on suboxone!? I have bc I had to get off methadone once and it saved me! And when I ran out befor my doctors appt I had no no withdrawals! The only similarity is for the 1st few days on suboxone it made me have that nod off thing in public or where ever but I was in detox 4 days and it was gone before I left. The methadone gave me that for about a month and I wasn't in a clinic! I personally had no withdrawals after going cold turkey after being on it a couple months. For me with methadone the withdrawals can kill u it's serious! It's a horrible experience it makes u want to die! When I was on it it was so new and so expensive I had to see the only doc who worked with it in all of Phoenix and it was so so expensive I had to call the pharmacy to call the insurance company who had to call the doc who then had to argue on my behalf for why the needed to pay for it. It's called a prior authorization. It as a huge pain but now I know the out patient clinics here are using it more and more instead of methadone.

The only reason I'm still taking methadone is bc suboxone doesn't help my pain I wish to god it did! I told her as an addict u think that methadone gets u "high" it doesn't u have up to a month period where you r nodding off and maybe it's similar to heroine but that goes away and for me it wasn't pleasant and how sick I was the whole time until my body adjusted, about a month, I thought I was dying! There was none of that for me with suboxone. And once u have become clean and so at and ready to get your life back do u want to go through a year of treatment with suboxone to get off the methadone??? If anything I bet being on methadone when that feeling it gives u of nodding at first wears off u may probably turn to heroine again like so many others and bc methadone is an opiate blocker u will have to do so much heroine or pills to surpass the methadone u will overdose! I begged her to go to thes suboxone clinic and be totally honest I went with her to help explain what she couldn't she com pleated her 12 months of suboxone therapy they did ween her off idk if that's bc u can become physically addicted after a while or bc she was an addict but she hasn't used in yrs and had no issue getting off the suboxone. So I know that is more available since the years and years I had taken it and must have become cheaper, there is another form called subutox it's exactly the same thing goes under the tongue melts and you're good to go! I wish it helped with my pain bc I'd rather be one that but I'm not going to complain as long as my pain is bearable and I'm functional I'm pretty happy but if my personal experience can help anyone I'll gladly tell it. Call around see what outreach programs they have in your area and find one that offers suboxone therapy bc I swear it's the best u can do for yourself! Make sure they have support groups and u personally will have a case worker or a counselor someone u can call when u need to. Sometimes they will contract out and that's fine as long as they have ppl they work with who also talk to each other. They're still learning! Some r great and with all their skill and knowledge they admit they aren't god and will trust that u know when something is wrong with your own body. Don't ever be afraid of getting a 2nd or 3rd opinion! I know it seems overwhelming and my very best friend need up passing away at barely 30 due to yrs of a drug and alcohol addiction so with my personal exerts cd with pain and close friends with drug and their drug and alcohol abuse I feel I need to share any info I have. i need help-advice! i have been on methadone now , going to a pain mgt clinic for almost 13 years, i am so scared! i called in my scripts as always. they call and tell u they r ready and u can pick them up. well after 48 hours, time they say to give them, i got no call so i called them. they gave me the run around, first call told me the dr wants to see me, well i just saw him last month and i got the 3 month before i come bk, i just call in my meds. m6y meds are up on 19th of july, i have to wait 2 wks before i can get my scripts cause dr is on vacation? what is this? so i start thinking i am tooooo old and have tooooo many health issues for this! i know methadone withdrawal can kill u. i call bk and i get the run around again until finally i get they did not receive my msg about my call in for my scripts! i called them in to recorded message on the 12th, i do this every time in every month! i never forget! so now i am scared i am gonna have seizures, heart attack, etc! they told me to go to er but i can not get any meds cause of contract! i have ruptured disc, nerve damage, degenerative bone disease, severe arthritis, fractured hip, fractured spine, bone spurs all my sic in my neck are blowed, etc! i have been in a recliner to sleep now for 10 years i can not even lay in a bed! it takes me half a day to try to get moving. i have severe high bld pressure, it is always way up all the time! last reading was 186/164 and it stays high, i also have heart issues and high cholesterol. i am so scared! they as well called me a liar, when they r the ones that kept changing the story! it is not my fault, so now i have to suffer, maybe die because of their negligence? i am praying i make it until the 2wks are up! is there not some kind of protocol for this stuff? should i contact a lawyer? i am desperate and really scared! help!!!!

Opiate withdrawal CANNOT kill you. You're thinking benzos or alcohol. Methadone, Heroin, Oxy, etc. withdrawal is probably the most miserable withdrawal, but it cannot and will not kill anybody.

I'm a neurophysiologist as well as a former addict, I know what I'm talking about.

Someone that was in macomb county jail died recently from detoxing cold turkey from methadone. So I wouldn't say that it won't kill you because everyone's body is different. But I do agree that it is unlikely to die from withdrawal from herion or methadone.

You can take suboxone the day after opiates but you have to make sure you have 8-16 hours in between or it can throw you into SEVERE withdrawals. If you have any questions about suboxone or methadone maintenance programs you can write me back. {edited for privacy}

I am at a methadone clinic and 7 days after using H I had a urine screen with confirmation.It was positive for the metabolites H breaks down to. I don't understand how it was in my system 7days later!

I also had a knightmare coming off methadone 85ml 10 days of pure hell followed by 2 more weeks of withdrawals but it's worth it

Does anyone know info regarding the way methadone clinics test urine? How 7days after use of H did I come up dirty on "confirmation" screen? Also how long are Xanax detectable for a urine screen at a methadone clinic? I can have benzo's in my system as I am prescribed but I know they now screen for what exact benzo is in your system and Xanax is not what I am prescribed. A nurse told me 3-7days but I want to be sure. ANY help greatly appreciated!

Methadone is horrible to come off of because it gets in to your bones. It should be only used for short term use. I knew someone who was regularly taking it for years and he said it took him a whole year to feel "normal" again, hardly sleeping, his whole body hurting, the withdrawal was worse than anything hes ever done before. Methadone is horrible to be dependant On! :-\

I am on 55mg methadone, have been on it for over 6yrs. I use very occasionally. I'm 5'1, weigh about 62kilos. Maybe it's because of my height or maybe slow metabolism cause of the methadone. But if I use only once in a fortnight, half a gram, my urines dirty 10 days later.

If u drank a good bit of water.I also used Monday. I've to give urine tomorrow to get into a detox center.if its not clean of heroin they will refuse me.it is usually out on the 4th day for mist people.depending on amount and the strength if the gear.try drinking bread soda. Its not pleasant but if u drink enough of it.you will rush to the toilet. It will come out of both ends I done this a few years ago and it cleared me out in a day.its a horrible experience though. If its not a bad experience then your not drinking enough of it.you should literally be running to the toilet 5mins after drinking it.I would only advise this if there was no other way..

I was a regular H user for several months and I got clean for 10 days thanks to suboxone. I relapsed for 3 days busing about 1 to 2 points a day. I used Sunday around 3pm and had to UA Wednesday at 130pm. I drank a lot of water and sat in a sauna for 3 days and took about 2mg of suboxone. I also exercised the day of the UA. I am not sure if that effected it or not but i peed clean. I am 5'7 159lbs and have an OK metabolism. Hope that helps. However everyonebis different and I hear the naloxone helps kick it our faster too

Yes you can. They say to wait until you are in withdrawals but I've taken 3n it about 8 hours after my last use and been fine. But i have taken in the last and i onlybused for2 days after ten days on suboxone. It really is a miracle for people who detox. But make sure you give it a chance to work. It is then only way i stay clean and didn't get sick detoxing.

I have severe spinal stenosis, final stages of RA, Lupus and other high pain stress health issues, my pain doc has cut my med in half, oxy 15 er 2x a day and 4 10 ml perc, I am in bed every few hours In horrid pain.
I tried some H last week 2 bumps am and pm and no pain.
I didn't take any pain meds. I am not able to be helped surgically, for most issues, and end up hospitalized for infection everything
Is seeming to fall apart with new script laws as I have been on oxy er and 10 ml perc for 14 years, just 2x the dose.
I am thinking of getting H to give me some relief, I just don't want to test dirty.
Exactly how do I manage that successfully going forward.
I have never increased my meds in 14 years and kept stable, the last 3 months have been horrible. I don't want to mess up my life just have a quality going forward.
Any recommendations for me please.

Hi from person experience you have to be sick then take the sub and trust me you will not be sick anymore. Me personally I did the suboxone treatment I'm on 85mil.of methadone because of the pill use I was on I needed that for the craving and also it helps with my alcohol use. Hope this helps you and bring the New Year in right like myself. I'm new and clean also for about 5months.
