How Long Are Withdrawl Syptoms

i have been taking suboxine for over 2 years now and first year was only taking 1/4 a piece maybe 1/2...this last year ive been taking one or sometimes 2 a day..i quit taking them 7 days ago 2day and am wondering how long does the withdrawl symtoms last from it?? i didnt have a prescription but used my husbands...ive had a cold past week and dont know if it a combo of not taking them and being sick??? i just want my old life back!!! i want to feel normal without having to take a pill!! when will that be? =(

Subs can half a long withdrawal. I'm a former heroin addict with sciatica - I take subs for pain - bur before I went on the I made a deal with my doc that if I had to come off that he would put me back on morphine sulfate for 20-30 days. That way, I'd be off he subs and could just have a regular 4 day withdrawal from the morphine.

It could take several weeks for them to completely subside, though it can vary from person to person. It is normally tapered very slowly to allow someone to stop taking it.

You should also be careful using the Xanax to withdraw, since it is a Benzodiazepine, it can also be habit forming and a sudden withdrawal from it might cause seizures.

Destiny if you're only feeling like you have a cold, you should be good. Now - here's the important question: ARE YOU TALKING ANY OTHER OPIATE PAIN MEDS?

If you are, you are just delaying the inevitable. If you are not, you may have gotten off light. I tell everyone that the absolute most important thing for anyone to have when going through withdrawal is blood pressure medicine. They are the best - they calm you down, they can help you sleep.

In addition to that - my kicking kit used to include benzos (a few days of xanax aren't going to cause addition like a year of suboxone); sleeping pills, immodium, bentyl, benadryl and a bottle of rum,

The day you wake up hungry and are capable of cooking yourself a complete breakfast - it's over.

Now, the problem isn't getting clean, it's staying clean. If you have to, go to Narcotics Anonymous meeting and if anyone here gives you s*** about it - f***'em. Put your life back together any way that works for you and if you feel the need to - email me personally.
