Richie, it is so hard 2 find a Doctor that will give out methadone. The ones who do will only give it 4 chronic, severe pain. (They r far and few) I hate 2 say it , but, a clinic is pretty much the only place 2 get it. I went through the same thing. I was on meth b 4 subs. Did a lot of research on why Doctors won't give it out. What it comes down 2 is meth is a very strong narcotic that is highly addictive and they need 2 supervise u.

It is actually illegal in the U.S. for a GP to prescribe Methadone for addiction treatment or maintenance. If that's what you were being treated for, then a clinic is your only option.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
