Gabapentin 300 With Lortab

Is it safe to take Lortab 10mg 6 to 8 hours apart from gabapentin? I have chronic pain in my legs, back and hips and I also have ressless legs. I was needing to know if it is safe to take these two meds. As long as they are 6 to 8 hours apart.

Yes, they can be taken together, as long as your doctor has prescribed them both for you, there isn't even a requirement to take them hours apart, since they are not in the same medication class.

Gabapentin is classified by the FDA as an anticonvulsant that is also approved to treat certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain and mood swings.

Lortab is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
