Hello, Tonya! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're out of work.

However, since there are generics available, there is no assistance program available for this medication.

But there are pharmacy discount cards that may make it cheaper. There is one towards the right on each page of this site, you simply click the link, submit your email address, then print the card and take it to your pharmacy.

The FDA classifies Lyrica as an anticonvulsant that is also used to treat certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes.

Does anyone else have any suggestions that may help?

The company that makes Lyrica, Pfizer, has a program that you can get discounted or free Lyrica. I was just approved in December. Just go to their website and print the forms. One is for you to fill out and one for your doctor. It was a pretty simple process. Good luck!

Be warned! I have had a full head of hair and after taking Lyica for about 3 months, my hair is thinning in front! Google the following 'Lyrica hair loss'. Good luck and don't believe the side effects that a drug maker only tells you. You have to look at experiences from people taking the drug to get a full picture! Pfizer, the drug maker, is not going to say that Lyrica can cause hair loss because the sales of this expensive drug would tank!
