Flexeril 10mg

Updated

I just took 15 pills of Cyclobenzaprine of 10mg for pain. It's a yellow pill with the letter V on one side and 2632 on the other side. And im also taking bupropion 2x a day. Is this dangerous (?) cause I'm getting scared now.

Hello, Rose! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects?

Why did you take so many? This is a muscle relaxant, not an actual analgesic, but taking that many could still be dangerous, because it can cause depression of the central nervous system.

And I'd like to add a note for anyone else that reads this in the future, if you have reason to suspect that your life or the life of someone else may be in danger, please call poison control or be send at your nearest emergency treatment facility. While there are those of us online that are always happy to help, we cannot administer life-saving procedures, if they'd be required.

I am on flexeril 10 mg 3 times a day for spinal stenosis, I had a discectomy L5/s1 two years ago, I have an old nurses back, much damage done over 30 years of it...I still take pain meds and flexeril 3 times a day along with mobic , long story short since surgery I have drop foot on the left, when I go to bed at night as long s I sleep prone with my feet hanging off the bed Im ok, but when I roll onto my side and scoot up in bed when my foot drops, I get extreme cramps, Dr wants me to take Robaxin 750 at bedtime instead of the flexeril dose, Im trying to figure out this cramp thing..Im hoping this helps have you ever heard of cramps from drop foot, I usually only take 2 flexeril a day instead of 3, could the cramps also be from the med wearing off causing the muscles to cringe afterwords??Its very hard to stay in such a light sleep to watch my foot position, I was going to tape my feet together at bedtime, to prohibit the left food drop, but thats a risky thought in case of emergency...Im a RN and am driving myself nuts over this, I have an AFO I wear but Dr said not at night, so Im going to try and find a simple splint for sleep hours..

Not sure if you solved your cramping problem. I've had to deal with severe cramping after failed neck surgery x 4 and 2 low back L5S1. For the problem of your cramping I have 2 things that work the first I got from my pain manage Dr. Ferrante at UCLA he's great by the way! Drink Schweppes tonic water sounds crazy right while it's not an instant cure it will stop them from recurring for some time, it contains Quinine. He's not sure why it works but trust me it does. Then there is dill pickle juice, drink about 2 ounces it will stop cramps in several minute's and stop recurrence for some time. I know it doesn't sound very appetizing, but not as bad as you'd think, except in the morning! I keep both on hand, by the way if you mix the Schweppes with orange juice it's not bad. I feel for you its a miserable experience to say the least.

Regarding the person with drop foot, have you considered using a foot brace (boot brace) when you are in bed? It will definitely keep your foot in the proper position, like " |_ ". Good luck.

I am on a regimen of Flexeril 10 mg 3x daily, 1000 mg Acetaminophen 4x daily, Ibuprofen 600 mg 3x daily, Gabapentin 300 mg 3x daily, and Valium 5 mg twice daily, all for a bad case of Sciatica that has been flared up for nearly 2 years. I have a long history of back trouble (38 years), and recently damaged L5/S1 lifting and dragging a tree. Even on all these meds, I still hardly ever get below a 6 on the pain scale, usually closer to 8. Surprisingly, I am still able to drive most of the time. The first time I took Flexeril, about 4 years ago, I was only taking 5mg once daily because if I took 10 mg it knocked me out for a whole day. My point with all this info is that your body will build up higher tolerances the more you take. Now I take 30 mg per day, and while it makes me feel tired most of the time, I am still able to function. Hope this is useful info for someone. As always, be careful and only take what is prescribed when dealing with these type of drugs.

I damaged L4/L5 and dragged my right leg around for 4 months, waiting for APPROVAL to get a diagnosis (workmans comp claim). Saw a top Doc and didn't like his prognosis. Asked him about exercise, he said be VERY careful. No jerking or heavy impacts. After a few weeks on a Nautilus back machine the pain was gone. No more limping! Can't find Nautilus anymore, bought a couple of cheap home machines - Roman Chair and AB/Back Plus (Body by Jake). I also hang upside down on an inversion table. Through the years I've collected 2 more Herniated discs. Also developed Stenosis around L4/L5, which had me begging for pills (for a few weeks). No more computer chair! I now collect Kneeling Chairs which keeps your back from completely slouching. This chair also pitches the pelvis forward, I need that too. 25 years of damages, no regular pill intake. Recently bought a Spine-Worx Back Realignment Device (Amazon, $35). Lay on it and it passively moves the spinal bones back to where they belong. Can be uncomfortable the 1st minute or two, as the bones reluctantly begin moving left-right. Couple more minutes and the spine settles in, no more discomfort. Designed by a Chiropractor. Pills are temporary; adapting to your condition and making the best of things is the long-term solution. I HAVE NEVER HURT MYSELF USING THESE DEVICES. Please don't fear working with your back. After a week or two the swelling from the initial damage subsides. You're now dealing with secondary symptoms. Any Therapist would tell you it's time to Mobilize. Don't fear therapeutic exercise, fear liver damage from them pills! Use the Internet to educate yourself. Watch Therapists on YouTube. Work around the issues, you'll be glad you did. Keep the muscles strong and fight!

Have you tried a steroid shot? It calmed my muscle and nerve down and when the steroid wore off in 2 months my problem went away.
