Find A Obgyn In Huntsville Alabama That Will Leave Me On My Suboxone During Pregnancy

I am trying to conceive, and do not want my Objyn to judge me for taking suboxone. I will most likely be on this for the rest of my natural life. I have Pancreatitis and I.C. : Interstitial cystitis. Both are very painful. . With a history of addiction. . I chose to not do lortab.. instead I have been extremely successful with my suboxone strips. It saved my life and helps control my pain. . I even have leftovers. I need a OBGYN in or near Huntsville, Alabama that will leave me on this medicine without judging me.. my primary physician already told me that I will remain on the medication. . He will just change me to Subutext instead if I choose. Please .. if anyone knows of a GOOD OBGYN NEAR HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA LET ME KNOW ASAP! Thank you!

Yes, you will need to switch to Subutex, while pregnant. Suboxone isn't safe for use during pregnancy.

Any OB Gyn is fine, but you have to let them know that you are taking it and they will work with your current doctor to get you on the right dose of Subutex and monitor you, during pregnancy.

The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I know this is a late response but incase anyone else is ever looking for a non judgemental doctor in or around Huntsville Alabama who WILL help you conceive on subutex Dr. Leon Lewis is amazing. He not only was not judgemental he rxed me to Clomid (the fertility drug) knowing I was on subutex. He also delivered my 5 year old and my 6 year old (and i was on subs throughout pregnancy with my 5 year old). He has also done thw same for 3 of my personal friends, one of them who was on methadone.
