Find A Doctor That Prescribes Methadone In Maine

I have been going to a methadone clinic for 7 years i have m\s and it works great for my pain but its 88 miles from my house and the drive is becoming too much. Im looking for a doctor that will percribe me methadone for my pain in the state or maine. Or a pain clinuc that is methadone friendly.

Isnt there a Clinic on Brighton Ave in Portland? I took a now deceased neighbor to it. I believe the clinic owner may have recently passed away, but its still open

I'm afraid that a clinic is your only option, at this time. Due to the way the laws are, regardless of why you were taking it, the fact that you went to an addiction treatment clinic is in your medical records, so a private practice doctor or pain clinic won't be able to prescribe it for you.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

You may want to check into the clinic that Karen mentioned.

Does anyone else know of any that are closer?

Erika, where are you located? There are methadone clinics in Bangor, Rockland, Waterville and Westbrook, among other places.

Hi..I live in the state of maine and I recently broke my back in 3 different places. I have been in severe pain even though I have had a kyphoplasty. I have been on all kinds of different pain killers and they all make me very sick. My latest medication has been suboxone and that is making me sick also. I am trying to find a doctor's office that prescribes methadone for pain as I don't qualify for a methadone clinic. I am having no luck at all. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
