Find A Doctor That Prescribes Methadone In Coloado

I'm currently on methadone for my rheumatoid arthritis in both knees. I dive 140 miles each day from Wyoming (will not prescribe methadone) to a clinic in Colorado. I would so appreciate a listing of physicians in Colorado who will prescribe this life saving pain medication! Thank you soo much!

I'm sorry, but under current laws, a clinic is your only option. Regular doctors are not allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment and since you've been going to a clinic, even if it was just for pain, that's what is in your medical records, so no regular doctor will be able to prescribe it for you.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I sincerely wish I had better news for you, but unfortunately, I don't. Many people have asked.

Ive been on methadone for over 15 years. My Dr. Informed me that he has to stop giving me perscriptions for methadone. He's giving me time to find a new Dr. But it hasn't been easy. I'm scared and not sure where to go. I was abducted when I was a young girl,I woke up In a hospital and ever since I've had surgeries every 3months. I am now 50 yrs old and still having my surgeries and taking things one day at a time. Today" I'm really starting to worry. I've called so many offices, clinics, etc.......and everyone says the same thing. "Sorry" we can't help you. If anyone knows of anywhere I can continue my medication please let me know.
