Help Finding A Doctor For Pain Meds In San Antonio, Texas

I need to find a kind pain management doc in San Antonio, TX that will take medicaid Amerigroup. I'm currently seeing Dr. Kanishka Monis. He is a nice young man BUT, his staff and their way of handling patients is terrible. I was changed from Butrans 10 patches with 3 8mg suboxone a day to 20 mgs of methadone, after a week of hell I called to see if I could up the dose a little. No. I had to see him. But I couldn't get another appointment for 10 days. They have NO protocol for adjusting dosages in patients that are not at a therapeutic level of medication. I have been in agony for months, there has to be a pain management clinic or doctor that will take Amerigroup insurance in San Antonio,TX that are kind and caring, and don't leave their patients hanging out to dry! Help please, does anyone know of a good group or doctor NOT affiliated with Consultants in Pain.???

Hello, Fanny! How are you?

Due to current regulations, all doctors are going to require that you see them for any dosage adjustments and most pain management clinics are very busy, so it's normal to have to wait awhile to get in for an appointment. I wish I had other news for you, but I don't, I'm sorry. It isn't that the doctors and their staff don't want to be compassionate and helpful, it's that their hands are tied by government regulations.

Can anyone suggest a doctor in that area that might not have such a long delay for appointments?

Hi Im in need of a server chronic pain Dr that takes Amerigroup, one who is Kind, understanding & knowledgeable. I can deal with bad staff but a bad Dr no way.

I had a really good doctor for the past 7 years, but is no longer taking my insurance I am having trouble finding a new doctor. I really would appreciate any help. Thank you
