Hello to All! I recently underwent surgery for a multi-level cervical discectomy and fusion. Everything was fine until 2 months after the surgery, when the doc decided I no longer need any pain meds. So, I followed up with a pain mgmt center 40 miles from my home (I was referred).

The doc understood that although some symptoms are better, I am still in pain. So, he prescribed 15 mg oxycodone. However, as many other folks have mentioned, I cannot get the rx filled anywhere. This is truly a problem. I am only thankful that I don't have cancer or something truly devastating.

I believe this to be a serious issue for people who have true health issues. Perhaps the best idea is for the drug companies to come up with a new drug that works and the gvmt and pharmacies aren't familiar with. Although I believe it would still be classified as a Schedule 2 drug and most pharmacies are not filling them these days.

Please let me know if I am misunderstanding anything. But, it is to a point where i would rather deal with the pain than drive all over central Florida to find a pharmacy that will fill the prescription.

We neeed to start recording the pharmacy that we go to that says they are out of stock or their excuses and talk to the head pharmacist. Write down what they say and then do a class action suit against each of the pharmacy's for discrimination. Thats all it is they have the medication they just do not want to give it to us becuase they feel that we dont need it. But it takes 6 years to be a head pharmacist and only a few weeks to be a tech but our doctors have over a decade they perscribe the medication so I dont belive that these uneducated pharmacists can make our life hell...

If somebody would stop Pam Bondi then people who REALLY NEED and are starting to contemplate suicide due to the amount of UNRELIEVED pain thanks to bondi B***H and the Douche Enforcement Agency....then and only when you relieve the F***ing A*holes from power will we be able to get our meds back. 3 years of oxycodone can't afford back operation; now, I haven't seen ONE Oxycodone pill since April. I have all the unfilled script to prove it.

F*** YOU Pam Bondi and DEA.........SUCK IT!

Aries Health is open in Valdosta, Georgia. We do take a limited number of out of state patients. Filling here in Valdosta will be very difficult with an out of state ID however. We are a legit clinic and not a candy shop. If you have a legitimate injury and the diagnostic imagery reports to prove it, then we will be happy to help ypu.

My husband & I moved to the Fort Myers area 6 weeks ago. We moved here from NJ because the cold weather would keep me in bed, in tears, 2 out of 3 days. Now that we're here, and after seeing a pain management doctor, I am unable to get my medications. I have prescriptions and have been told by the pharmacies that they don't carry it or don't have it in stock. I went to a Winn Dixie yesterday, where I saw 2 other patients that were in my doctors office getting their pain medications filled. I was denied!! I was given 3 reasons in under 2 minutes! First it was we are not accepting new patients even though the sign in the front of the store clearly states we are accepting new patients, then I was told that the medications they have in stock are for their EXISTING patients only (I even asked if he could please order these for me & was refused!!) so I left. I went home & called them to inform them that, according to the paper I received at my doctors office, "It Is Illegal for a pharmacy NOT to fill a duly executed prescription!" at which point Paul, the Pharmacy Assistant chuckled and said "well we can't fill it if we don't have it!"!!!!!!!!!!!! Unreal!!! I called the corporate office and have threatened to sue if this pharmacist (Javier) continues to refuse to fill my script!! They are now working on coming up with a solution! I am praying that this situation will change so I can get the medications that WORK FOR ME! I shouldn't have to get new medications, worry about getting sick from them, worry about getting tired from them (when I work from home due to my disability) or the medications simply not working on my pain. I'm just as fed up & will do whatever is necessary to be able to get my legitimate prescriptions filled. I have Fibromyalgia, both knees need replacing, both shoulders need surgery & I have a spinal cord injury with 33% of my spinal cord being crushed from the bulged/slipped/herniated disks! This doesn't even begin to cover the pinched nerves & muscle spasms I have that are excruciating! Count me in!!

my email address is xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy} any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We (the United States) are "supposedly" the greatest nation in the world to live in. Well the more I research it, the more I realize what absolute BullS*** that is. Our gov. just wants to take every penny it can from us and then say F*** you to the people who are injured or in serious/chronic pain. Sure, they give all the benefits in the world to our vets. Don't get me wrong, our vets are our most valuable and underappreciated people walking the face of God's green earth; as trivial as my opinion is, I salute you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! If I have to go get shot or step on a land mine for help with my 3 diagnosed, progressive diseases in my back (at 38 years old), please let me know. Although I couldn't manage basic training, I can shoot from years of hunting. Therefore, please give me a gun and I will go pop a few towelheads so that I can have benefits and receive my NECESSARY meds so that I may have some kind of a life....because the one I'm being forced to live (F*** you Pam Bondi....Florida's new state attorney b****) isn't worth living. I can't even be a father to my 17 year old son because I can't even throw a ball due to the UNRELIEVED pain. However, before B**** Bondi slept her way to the top attorney's office in Tampa, I could get my meds at the first Walgreens I stopped at. Now, I get laughed at by pharmacists (aka...people that were too dumb to graduate from REAL doctor courses and training) or by pharmacy techs that don't know their a$s from a hole in the ground. In my meaningless opinion, our founding forefathers would be ashamed of what we have let their country turn into.....they would roll over in their graves. Additionally, I love the way the pharmacy workers pretend to check for your prescription meds (the second isle in for about 2 seconds) then they laugh and say we're out of stock and have no clue when we will get more. Then, they have the nerve to say, "Have a nice day"; meanwhile, they were looking at over a thousand oxycodone 30 mg. pills and provided you ZERO service and ZERO sympathy for what you are going through. I have two words to those idiots at Walgreens...."SUCK IT."

If I was to send copies of my MRI's for your doctors to evaluate, do I have to travel to Georgia to get my meds. I have been on these meds over three years. Do you ship meds across state lines or do I have to visit Georgia. If I have to visit Georgia, that is a waste of both time and a TON of gas! Besides, NOBODY would fill my prescriptions anyway; therefore, it would be a VERY EXPENSIVE and COMPLETE waste of time and money!!!H

Go to meetings NA meetings or get counseling. Ignoring that demon will not make it go away
It will sit and wait and whisper until u break even if it takes years. My husband CANT even be a human being anymore his moods are so wacked out after years of that medication. I don't understand why u can't choose to do something to yourself in this country. Those meds help a lot of people those that choose to abuse will pay consequences I don't believe the government has the right to make that choice for you...but get help Hon really.

NA meetings are for addicts & people that obtain these medications illegally, without a script!! They'll find a quack to write the scripts & then they abuse them or sell them. For those of us that have REAL, Very Serious injuries or conditions that are debilitating, we need these med's in order to be functioning adults and working members of society. I've worked from my home office for a company in Maryland for 4 years now & continue to put applications in with other work at home companies that offer medical benefits, so that I can STILL be a contributing member of society & still help support my household. Because my legs are so bad, I am unable to work outside of my home where a position in an office or as a cashier or other position which would require me to be on my feet. I had my own cleaning business for over 20 years in NJ and also worked other positions, in a deli, at a condo association, at a dance studio as the office manager, at a liquor store as the assistant manager. These were awesome positions that I am no longer able to work. I DO NOT want to be on social security! I DO NOT want public assistance! I want to be able to function and earn my own money - not have a monthly check handed to me and then have to scrimp to try to get by. I may not be able bodied but my mind is fully functional and this is another reason I don't want to have to switch medications. When med's are switched, there is usually an adjustment period where the body goes through the side effects. The med's I WAS on worked for me without causing sleepiness, vomiting, confusion, etc. Since I have been unable to get my prescriptions filled for the Oxycodone 15mgs or the Morphine ER 30mgs, the doctor put me on Norco 10/325. This medication does NOT take my pain away the way the other meds worked for me (pain level is at a 7-8 daily), but it takes the edge off so it's not as intense. I also do NOT like the acetaminophen in my system because of the damage it will cause (to the kidneys & liver) over long term use. That was the reason my NJ Pain Mgmt Dr put me on the Oxy & Morphine meds. It took us nearly 2 years to get the point that the combination of medications worked right for me.

I've also emailed Gov. Scott regarding this issue & explained that we just moved here and I have offered to provide my medical history as well as my pharmacy information & history to the pharmacists here in Fort Myers. This is to PROVE that I'm NOT a doctor shopper or pharmacy hopper! Still, I was denied. In NJ, we have a drug monitoring program statewide that keeps track of each person that is prescribed CDR medications, when the scripts are filled and the doctor that wrote the scripts. This not only deters people from using 2 or 3 doctors to get medications but also will show if people are getting more medication than they should! I personally believe this type of system should be implemented in EVERY state! I know people in NJ that will pay someone else to go to a doctor to get scripts then they will also pay for the scripts to be filled and they'll throw the "patient" a few for their time and they keep the rest. No matter what way you slice it, addicts will find a way to get around the system! It is up to US...the people that truly need these medications, to report those we do know of that are abusing the system and the meds!!! I'm hopeful that, in time, Florida WILL implement the monitoring system and it should work to stop the bulls*** that is making it harder for us to get our medications. I haven't been taking the Norco's 4x's a day as prescribed bc of the tylenol in them but I do take it 1st thing in the morning (otherwise I wouldn't be able to get out of bed) and then again later, if necessary. I take 3-4 advil 3x's a day to help with the inflammation as well. I was able to get a script filled for the oxy's & morphine when my husband went back to NJ. My pharmacist there knows us & has been handling all of our medication needs for 10+ years, so bc he is aware of my medical conditions, he filled it. However, he will not fill it monthly. He only filled it bc my husband was in NJ. He won't mail them across state lines and I wouldn't want him to! I would never want him to jeopardize his livelihood/business for me.

We need to unite & report those that are abusing these medications! Recently I looked up arrests in Lee County alone & was amazed at how many of them were for people that had CDR's w/o scripts!!! Stop b****ing and start reporting these people. Become proactive if you want things to change! The state has cracked down on quacks, now they need to catch & prosecute the ppl that are abusing the s***! Mandatory rehab, probation & weekly drug testing should also help these addicts to stay off the med's they are obtaining illegally & abusing & really don't have a reason to be taking!!
