Can you post back with information on anything else you have taken? Even over the counter products?

There are some substances that can cause false positives for opiates on urine tests and it does occur most often with these synthetic opiates, which is what Hydrocodone is.

This just happened to my husband. False positive for opiates, drilled down to hydrocodone. He is diabetic. What could cause this false positive? Please give specific references. We need to know this!

I am also an "rnhelplz" situation. I had taken vicodin and tested positive for oxymorphone but not oxycodone (on gc/ms). I've been accused of taking oxycodone which I had not. Any ideas?

Hydrocodone is broken down in the liver into metabolites. One of which is Hydromorphone (Dilaudid). Probably why he tested positive. Norco is Hydrocodone just without a lot of acetaminophen .

I am on a suboxone program and last week my UA came back positive for hydrocodone which I have not taken in years. I take prozac, omeprazole, fish oil and glucosame chondrotin daily. I also take an over the counter sleep aid. What should I do? Is there a way to have it retested?

I take the max dose of tramadol daily instead of vicodin bcuz my job requires me2be narcotic free. I test positive for PCP&Metadone every single test so I demand they send my sample out2do a confirmation test. Its a fact urine screens are not a confirmation they are a screening. Demand they send for a confirmation. Nothing will show up on a confirmation test that you did not take.

We just had this happen. Can you help me with finding answers? Otc medications that were taken would be midol, one a day vits, melatonin, super b complex, ibuprofen and rx proctosol. This is very alarming when you are accused of doing something you don't. Please help.
