Expiraton Concern

I was Rx Prednisone 10 mg x 48 tablet. The Lot number is L043E08A
Expires 04 11.

Can you explain the expiraton date?

April 2011? Some pills just have a longer shelf life than others, the expiration is really only required by the FDA to make sure that these pills are used within the time frame that they have maximum effectiveness.

After that date, the active ingredients can start to break down and the effectiveness of the medication is reduced.
