Is it harmful in taking it for a long time although with proper monitoring from a doctor? Also, to counter act the possible side effects, is it okay to take vitamins/or supplements?
Hi Herbert,
Not to be taken as a fact, but I've always felt that everything in moderation is the key. If you've already been taking this pill for a long time without cycling off of it every few weeks then it is probably built up in your system and therefore increases the chance of side effects occurring. I would double check that with your doctor just to be certain.
As far as supplementing goes, I am a firm believer in taking multivitamins and other supplements to enhance your health. Aside from vitamins, I don't know if you have heard of essential oils? But there any many different oils that are considered to be natural remedies to a large number of health related issues (without containing side effects). I urge you to look into those, as you may find one specific to your needs.
Hope this information deems useful!
Thank you for your advise. Actually, Im taking this medicine for less than a year at 5mg daily. I've heard of oils but not yet explore what are those. Can you recommend me a site where i can find it.
There's a brand called Young Living that sells the most potent therapeutic grade essential oils. I have a few of them myself. Their website is youngliving.com, but I recommend going on amazon or ebay to cut the price tag a bit.
A good reference site to view information about each oil is:

There may be better reference sites out there, but I found that one to be pretty useful.
Aside from the given side effects of Vasalat 5, does it affect also the kidney?
