Yes Vangie - Amoxicillin can in fact cause a false positive for Cocaine use. Other things which can do this include:
Kidney infection (kidney disease)
Liver infection (liver disease)
Diabetes
Tonic Water
and of course Amoxicillin

You need to inform your employer and those taking the sample to do the drug test of everything you are taking, both prescription and over the counter, that way they know what might affect the test, in some cases it even negates the test altogether.
