Dr. Who Can Prescribe Methadone (Page 5)

I have just moved to Harrisburg, PA. I found a pain management clinic who will prescribe my methadone (I have been taking Methadone for pain management for 5-6 years), however they have asked that I find another doctor. I was told by pain management clinic that I am the only patient they prescribe methadone for. Does anyone know of a doctor in the Harrisburg, PA area that prescribes methadone for pain management?

hey peach75 in Cullman, Alabama you can try Dr. Bucco he maybe taking new patients, he gives methadone especially if you have been getting it in the past. His phone # is 256-287-2345. Good luck.

have you found a dr to prescribe methadone yet? I just moved here and have been on methadone for quite awhile for pain and have not yet found a dr who will write it.

Wrong on both accounts. A doctor doesn't have to write an extremely addictive and dangerous drug if he or she doesn't want to or have the license to treat addiction. Methadone is one of the worse drugs ever invented. It gets in your bones like no other opiate and, God forbid, there's ever a zombie apocalypse, it'll be the Methadone users who knock over every clinic for drugs to stop the awful pain of withdrawal. I treat addiction with Suboxone and it's the Methadone users who have the hardest time staying clean of anybody even if you prolong the Suboxone taper by multiple months.

Hello I am in the same boat I live in dickson city by Scranton ! I hav been on methadone for pain for sixteen yrs I have all my paperwork etc ! But I hav yet to find a steady dr here also! If u do find one please let me know and I will do the same ! God bless you len

I am in search of a dr in the NYC area that would prescribe Methodone for my Daughter (suffers from endometriosis and other issues that cause chronic pain). Currently goes to clinic in Hartford and no pm drs in ct on her insurance plan.

I moved here seven years ago and even though the Dr. I had in Ohio warned me that,because of my appearance (I'm an artist and cosmetology. Student with fichus blond and black pin up girl hair),I would have a hard time finding a doctor who would "understandme.
Boy was he right! I even bleach my hair all blond took on a conservative attire and was still treated like a piece of scum,drug seeker who didn't have any issues the Dr s grandmother dealt with on a daily basis and with only ibuprofen. And Celexa or similar type med. It was very disheartening and humiliating. I've been told that many people have to move out of Pa in order to get medication that they've(I) have been on for over 15 years.

My family doctor put me through the series of Vicodin, Oxycontin, pervade even morphine,though I warned him that it would only cause more trouble than I already had.andas predicted,iI ended up at Bowling Green rehab in order to be accepted in the "junkie clinic.
That's another entire mess, as they give out questionable grade liquid methadone that seems to change strength every dose. It took me 2 more years to get my split dose and I'm at over twice the amount of dose I was taking in wafers. Mind you,I have 6 take home doses (compared to my monthly script in Ohio), but they won't and can't do anything to deal with treating the underlying issues of my pain management other than dosing me.

I've been willing to try everything the doctors have asked of me,including 20+ injections and an epidural along with my meds and have the records to prove it. I've plenty more to add to this,if someone could help me get to a Dr that would take me on.I actually enjoyed traction, lol, but have been offered none of that here. If there's a Dr or kindred spirit that can help please direct me in right direction. I'm pleading for help. I go to school,create jewelry and art and would like to lead a productive life without standing in the clinic and getting UA's which have been clean,btw

Trying to find a clinic or somewhere I can get prescribed suboxone or methadone. I'm trying to get off using H but it's very hard I'm in allentown or Bethlehem area in pa any help

Regarding the person in pain that doesn't understand y people r on methadone. Then y r u in this forum reading about methadone!. Im in Charleston and was on methadone for seven yrs and my dr left giving me no direction so thank u for the mt pleasent idea.

Who made you God and told you to pass judgement on something you do not know about? I am so glad you are not in a position where you might not need it to live a life without chronic pain. And as far as addiction, it has been proven to help many whose brains have been made to not function normally without opiate replacement. You need to quit thinking you are better than others, you are not and you have no right to speak on others lives you know nothing about.

You seem like a lonely pos. Put our lives side by side and the only difference is I have my dose and happiness while you have nothing but time to pick on ppl with mental illness. I feel sorry for ppl as ignorant as you that have no clue what addiction really is, but think they're educated enough to have an opinion???? May God bless you.

Dr. Scott Mueller will prescribe methadone for pain management if you live in that area. He is in mechanicsburg on technology parkway drive.

I am still looking for the pa ny nj tri state area.... its hard for t he guy in nyv with daughter theres was a dr outside the city as long u hsve proof.... but I need help finding a dr upstate ny likeorange county ny , or near there or near Sussex co NJ or near Pike co pa..... uf anyone thinks its a joke I wish u m ur loved ones nva have to go through it... I live in Georgetown Sc, 45 miles from Charleston and 45 miles from mrytle beach. I drive 95 miles six times a week for two years and 8 months. I spend about $700 month just to dose. I'm ready to find a Dr that can prescribe it so I can work and go to college and have a better quality of life. Methadone helps my physical pain as well as restore a good quality of life that is the best has been since I can remember. I have a legally handicap son, who keeps me very busy.
Can anyone guide me to a Dr that will take over my methadone prescription. I'm willing to travel to where ever I need to!!
