Does The New Oxy Op Have A Longer Detection Time In Your System For Drug Tests

I have to tae a drug test for probation on the 29th of september. For some reason the oxy 80 oc's stayed in my system sometimes for as long as 14 days and were then detected in a drug test preformed by my p.o. My question is.....is the detiction time for these new op oxy's the same as the old oc oxy's?or is it detected in your system for longer?

It contains the exact same active ingredient, Oxycodone, so it will be detectable for about the same time.

The length of time it stays in your system can vary, depending on how long you were taking it and how high of an amount.

I took 3 40 mg tablets n 3 days. How long will they stay in my system? I have a high metabolism, weigh about 120 and I only took it those 3 times with the 8th being the last day I took one.

There have been cases where oxys have been detected in a urine screen 30 days after being taken. What I'm reading here appear to be a lot of young people who are taking these pills not because they were prescribed but because they got them from their parents medicine cabinet or bought them at school for kicks. Unfortunately, you do not know what you are getting yourself into and since I was that age once and didn't listen to anything anyone told me I don't expect to hear much common sense here. I will tell you as a physician who is in recovery from addiction to RX narcotics, class 2, percocet, demerol, tylox etc., I will tell you it is 100 times worse than being a heroine addict because the tolerance of the heroine addict is not equal, the heroin you get each time is not the same exact strength as it was the last time. With RX narcotics each dose is 100% USDA pure. Your tolerance is equal and very strong. I was up to a point I was taking 50+ Percocet just to be NORMAL! I knew the risks but I didn't care but God covers some things because I shouldn't have a liver left and I have NO LIVER DAMAGE. I went on to mix the Percocet with other long acting narcotic's because oxy's hadn't been invented yet and are the only opiate I have never tried. Even today, I hear about how great they are if you crush them and the thought is there. I've just learned it's not worth my life. If you've got a problem with RX narcotics get help. It is not going to go away by itself but it could make you go away by yourself....... in a box.

Mpathia RI: This is tough. Yes, as some stated, it stays in your system for quite a while. If you are able to explain this to your new employer, they may understand. I know I do... I had problems with my period every single month. You may have endometriosis. I almost bled out in the waiting room of a hospital. My husband finally went up to clerk again and by this time I was almost gone. I got in and they could not believe the amount of blood loss. I would go through a pack of pads in 2 days. It is horrible pain and I feel for you. If you have a doctor who will write a letter for you, it will help a bit. After all, it ain't called "the curse" for nothing.. I ended up having a total hysterectomy. If you are young, this isn't the solution if you plan on having children. BTW, having a baby helps for some reason. (Adoption isn't included ;-). Good luck. I know how bad it can be. I feel bad for you... it will be okay -Mpathia

You prob won't ever read this, I don't even know how long ago it was. Just needed info because someone I know very well took way too much today. More then every other day. Quit lots of times but over and over again he goes back. Before he knows it, it's 12 years later and has nothing, ruined his and his family's life. He has the desire to stop but never the strength and courage. I showed him your post and it gave him a lot of hope. Tomorrow he will start his journey he says.
