I am prescribed roxicodone 30mg, 4 a day. I have been suffering from chronic neck and back pain for the past 12 yrs. The pain medication works really well, but I guess my body has got immune to it and they dont seem to last as long. He doesnt want to increase the amount but they do not last the whole month. I have been obtaining a few percocets to get me through. My question is, when they drug test me to make sure I'm taking my meds, will the percocet show up the same as the roxy or should I quit taking it? I cant afford to lose my script but I also need to get out of bed and get things done. Any help would be appreciated, thanx

Can you pass a urine drug test with a Roxy 30 milligram and you normally take morphine 15 milligram sulfate or will it show up different on the drug test

Opanas, Perks, Oxys and Roxys are opiate based and show up as.... Opiates in your urine. Tabs are not opiate based and show up as codeine in your urine..... If you're prescribed an opiate based product and take a codeine based product it will show up differently. If you are just taking random pills to "keep the pain away" you're full of s***. You would know that being prescribed an opiate based pill then taking a codeine based pill is wasting your time, you might as well take tylenol... If you're worried about taking a urine test and you've been taking something besides what you're supposed to, stop taking the different pill 5-7 days prior and depending on your fat content and bodies ability to burn impurities, you'll be fine. It is always better to piss clear water then have something in you that you're not supposed to.

I take oxycodone Hcl 10mg. I ran out. I have 512 Percocet. Will it show up differently on a drug test? Was curious because 512 Percocet has acetaminophen in it while the other one doesn't. Would it make a difference that there is acetaminophen? Would PM question why acetaminophen is in my system?

Same exact thing haplened last month ..ran out of percocet early so replaced it with oxycodone. I had been prescribed it in the past thinking they are the same; both contain oxycodone except for the tylenol. For the 3 days prior to being tested I took the same dose of oxycodone as should have been Percocet. I also took 1 actual Percocet 7.5mg 1 day prior to the drug screen. 8-10 days prior to the test I took a Xanax from a prior prescription from my old Dr because of anxiety. I rarely take these, which is why I still had one to take for this anxiety attack. However, I tested positive for benzo (xanax) which was surprising because of number of days that have passed before the test surprisingly testing negative for Percocet and NO oxycodone either which i thought both tested the same anyway...after Percocet and Oxycodone neither showed up. Why wouldn't they show up? Dr said he would terminate if this happens again... Four Percocet 7.5 a day does not eliminate pain for a day. Test is in 4 days..have 2 Percocet 7.5 left for the day before and proper dose oxycodone (not percocet) for today and tomorrow; no xanax this time, but dont know how this will show up this time...does anyone have a clue how this happened or any advice pls?...I have real medical issues, neck and back surgeries. Cant lose this script and be active at all. Educated advice only please. A script is required to do much more than breathe. If this test is right, the script will be adjusted so the dose would be what is needed to be active on a daily basis so this is important to be right...

I was told there's a filler in the oxycodone that shows up differently, not sure though one would think then both being the same other then one having Tylenol in it

No, regular pee test in doctors office will only show opiates...not which kind. Be careful though..if it's a pain management clinic once a year they do send off to lab

I have many illnesses that need pain management, also a fractured spine,, recently I had to move a gravely ill parent, all by myself, oh boy pain isn't the word and would wake up during the night needing something and did so for a week, and of course your allowed to do so every fore hours but will put you short if you do,, and that's where I've found myself this week,, a friend offered me something else without Tylenol I told them I was afraid to do so because I need my meds one mess up could really hurt,,, my doctor has there own lab and does pee test often which I usually don't mind but thanks for the response just didn't want to take something that could hurt me in two ways

No it is not the same OxyContin has to break down into a metaphor my doc said that it breaks down totally different they roxyxodone or perks I know this for a fact 100 % cause I got in trouble short term and long term will come out different if sent to the lab I'm not sure in a office urine if it tests only for opiates but when mine came back I insisted I took the meds and my doc said no u didn't and when I said why do u say that he said look I will show u right here u are prescribed roxy 30s and OxyContin 80s long term there is no long term here he said in order for it to show us you took the meds it has to break down in your stomach and it comes up completely different then any oxycodone short term just saying

Been a nurse for 20 years. They will show up the same. I'm also a stage four cancer patient. I have done exactly what u are saying. Pass my drug tests every month. Don't worry.

Yes it will show differently because norcos is a hydrocodone and percocet is an oxycodone so it will show up differently
