Can you tell me about any doctors who can prescribe Vicodin

I've noticed a delay sometimes with posts. I think that's why I keep getting so confused LOL. There was a post on a different subject link from The Admin that says there was someone posting as several different people, ending in one alias promoting the sale of a product with payment by Western Union. It was a scam, so there may have been additional delays while they checked what has been posted the past several days.

Marianne, hope you are doing well. You must be busy. Went to that doctors appointment today, but don't know much more, than before I went LOL I didn't see my regular doctor, but the one I did see is very nice. She just seems so young.

13 surgeries since 2004, both shoulders are artificial and I have an artificial disk in my lower back. Everything that I suffer from is service connected from the Army. Spent 23 years in the Army. I suffer from severe chronic pain and I do need releif to be able to function and have a quality of life.

Reminder that beginning October 6, 2014, which is a week from this Monday, All Hydrocodone Combinations Medications will become a Schedule II. That means they can't be called in or refilled. You must see your dr at least once every 90 days. Your dr can write 3-30 day rxs, but few drs choose to do this. Most require you to come every month. If you have a rx with refills, you will not be able to get them after Oct 5. Some pharmacies have told their customers that they won't do refills after Oct 3.

What criteria is DEA using to move drugs from one category to another? What are they trying to accomplish with moving categories?

CORRECTION: If you have a rx for a hyrdocodone combination meds that was written before October 6, 2014 and it has refills, you have until April 8, 2015 to get the refills. Put, DEA Schedules of Controlled Substances: Rescheduling of Hydrocodone Combination Products From Schedule III to Schedule II, in your search bar. When you go the DEA page put April in the Find part of your browser.

No I do not go to the VA hospital here in Denver. Very bad experience there. I only receive my dental there. I've maintained the same doctors at another area here in Denver that I had when I was on Active duty my last 4 years in the Army. Yes, I have a Pain Management doctor that does a lot of procedures on me but the effects of them only last so long.

I'm a Vet also, but I don't use VA hospital or medical. Sorry you had a bad experience with them. I've heard mixed reviews. One guy I know has had nothing but good luck with them, except for a long wait time for appointments. Another guy has had an awful time getting them to fix his back right, 15 years of working on him LOL.
Pain management is such a circle isn't it? You get something that works for a little while, then something messes with it, and you are back to where you started.
I just went through a bad weekend. My pain prescription 30 day cycle fell when the pharmacy was closed (Sunday) and couldn't get any medication until this morning. It's not just no pain relief with no pills, it's getting adjusted back to where I was again. I am so "touchy", anything at all changes, I go into a tail spin with the pain all out of control and nearly a week of readjustment after the change.

I am looking for a doctor that takes medi-cal in ORANGE county CA who will prescribe me oxicodone 20mg-30mg, or roxy, due to a recurring back injury. I take care of a terminally I'll cancer patient which requires alot of lifting & extreme pain! My Dr has moved his practice out of state & I'm desperate to find a medi-cal Dr to help me in Orange county CA. Please if anyone knows a Dr that fits that description, it would be a great help...
