Hi Angela,

Don't be afraid to tell the Doctor which meds worked for you! I didn't have any problem when i moved twice with 2 new docs. The best thing to do is to have your records along with your last pain management Docs. phone #. He can just say no, but one of my new docs said that it is very helpful if you have the records & he can SEE what you have been taking & for how long. They also want to see that you go in religiously every month to them for either inj's or just needing refills. Hope that helps. I have even said once to the doc that I hope you can keep me on these or I'll have to go elsewhere but that I heard you give good inj's...or something like that. I mean this will prove that you aren't making it up on what you say you took, because you have your records. Doctors are greedy for your business & want you to keep coming back~they don't want you to go elsewhere! Good Luck to you. I was in Michigan...now Chicago.

Valerie,

Good girl I've seen few here lately reach out. I hope some of our Yankees which I am originally benefit.

Try Rutgers and even Columbia Presbyterian in NYC, you will need to with the FDA doing their deal, the physicians are cowering like Hitler's camp prisoners. They are *****ing out.

Umm I owned a home in Elizabeth, then Roselle Park I'm originally southern but raised a Yank, wish you luck love.

Readers,

Most know I'm in a bad way and can die at any time when you progress to Central Pain Syndrome the brain has a permanent imprint of years of intractable pain--it cannot be erased. Tomorrow yep a Saturday I'm driving to see a local doctor who supposedly is seeing pain patients, she did not take me out here after all she's new, happens not to be white, did not graduate from a top school but had been
referred by a pharmacy I know and yes people I have connections but the FDA mandate will kill you for your physicians are dropping their balls to kiss the balls of LE and government in fear putting you in the crapper letting us die. Those without physicians until Odumma leaves and a kick ass Republican puts America back including this criminal action to subsidize the death of chronic disease by death we will die.

Now I found a site where perhaps newer physicians who are not making money allow you to search and make appointments, that's how I found out Ms. local is doing this on weekends. anyhow it's called Patient Fusion. You can literally put in an appointment in most cases, for SH and Chris just try it. I'd choose pain specialists, physical rehab for they do pain specifically, that's who started me on LA, and then put in your area, you might be able to sneak in the door. I did also make an appointment with a larger group that I wanted only 2 physicians that I knew could handle me well they are both on whatever and I'm waiting for an appointment till December 16, 2015. I don't have enough medication to wait that long so tomorrow say a prayer to see if this younger pup will take sympathy. It's cash and a UA, no insurance, yep.

I love those here who are for real and say a prayer for me.

P450,

I am truly sorry to read of your medical condition, the Dr. you asked about, said he wanted to prescribe what I needed, however he claimed he could only write for a low dose of Oxycontin & Valium 7 day supply. He referred me to a PM who got me in 6 days later, after 4 agonizing hrs.of going thru my stack of medical info & an examination, he stated he could prescribe Fentanyl if I would agree to "Trigger Point Inj's", & a drug panel, desperate for relief I agreed. Big Mistake, He was a Rotten Filthy Liar, after passing the drug panel & inj's, he said he would only prescribe Tramadol on a 1st visit!! Made an appt for 2 weeks, said then he would prescribe as promised, this was a few days ago, shortly after leaving his office a severe headache, dizziness, excruciating back pain & burning from lumbar to cervical set in. My wife called this Quack 3-4 times & I even did 2x. over 3 days., they told me he would call me back, but this Unbelievable Bastard would not even return our phone calls!! They finally told me if it's that bad just go to the ER, yea that's what I need 3 to 8 more hrs of agony in an ER!! I may need to sue this Dr. also, the only reason I have made it this far is due to Faith in Jesus Christ, my wife of 22 yrs & an awesome son. I pray that the Lord touches your Heart & gives you the strength to endure, gives you peace & comfort when needed most. My wife & I will be praying for you to get the help you need & that The LORD will sustain you upon your sickbed & restore you to health. Psalm 41.3

Kathy, don't expect a new dr to prescribe the same meds that your old dr did. Each dr has their own way of doing things. If you don't have copies of your medical records from your last dr, your new dr will want to get a copy so be sure you have the address when they can obtain them. Drs need medical proof that you have a condition that causes pain to the extent that you need the pain meds. You saying you've had surgeries and them seeing the evidence of them is not the same.

Angela,

I hope you are tapering down and properly. Methadone is very dangerous as is Duragesic. This must be medically supervised. No one will write that much as it's far above the 120 mg. morphine equivalent. The mg. on morphine do differ from other opioids so one must know conversion but your methadone alone is far above and the oxycodone is way above sorry chick.

There is a foul physician who does addiction in Virginia and will write methadone but not the oxycodone. He also makes you pay cash. Spector in Chesterfield.

Jay,

We need to talk if you've read my posts, did this guy write for you? Dr. Famous dropped 30 of us from out of state in California 10 months ago. I will die soon without help either.

As you probably know I am pretty much the same as you and several of my disorders are researched at 88 x worse than end stage cancer and WE do not die from ours which is worse!

Posters,

Ultram is a poison and mixed antagonist / agonist.

It will send you to withdrawal if you take it with an opioid or agonist.

Seizure threshold is high. Do not take it with cardiac or lung history. Enough on that drug, dump it.

Kathy,

Doctors are not friendly in Florida and be prepared if you find one for them to be extremely difficult due to the FDA mandate about 120 mg. morphine equivalent. I am unaware of all you people coming on here asking for physicians, when you relocate your physician should be giving you a referral.

I was seen for the past 5 years and can die as I've progressed to Central Pain Syndrome with over 400 related diagnoses by the best specialist in America in California and am in Texas. He dropped 30 of us who are out of state due to new regulations BUT the bottom line is you won't get any former high quantities of medications, most physicians are scared stiff over this FDA mandate and rather then look obtuse would rather fire the complex cases and not provide care. It is now 10 months for me.

If you want any help get your former pain specialist to refer you to someone he or she knows of you won't manage. I've been attempting to get some rough cases like myself in for help down there who live there.

I am new to Miami area and am looking for a pain management specialist who would be willing to continue my current medications. I have been followed by the same MD for 18 years and have recent cervical and lumbar MRI's that indicate further progression of my degenerative disk disease. History of 2 spinal surgeries and numerous spinal injections that worked only temporarily.

Tramadol will cause seizures if you take too many so be careful!

Angela, just because one dr prescribed you certain meds doesn't mean that another dr will and drs know this when they refer patients. It is a red flag to ask a dr for certain meds/dosages. Usually a dr will start you out on the mildest/lowest dose of pain meds and go from there. Have you seen some of the drs he referred you to ? Do they ask for a copy of your medical records from your previous dr. Chances are these dr may write narcotics, but they will not write for the high doses you were on. So it is just easier to tell a patient that they don't write for narcotics. Have you gone in and seen these drs or have you just called their offices and asked if they will prescribe you what your previous dr did ? You're going to have to accept that you won't be able to find a dr that will give you what you've been taking or any other med in those high doses are not receive pain management.

It's True, almost all Dr.'s now hide behind the 120 mg. "Guideline-Rule", stating it's "The Law", which is a Lie. Severe Chronic Pain Patients are forced to find Pain M. Physicians only to be rejected for "various reasons". In my case I was told my Medical Problems are too complex for their Practice & they refer me to another Dr. I've been to a few Dr.'s & PM Dr's recently, after waiting 1 to 3 months for each appt., only to hear more Excuses & "Passing The Buck". They tell me I should go to the ER in the meantime, after waiting 3 to 9 hrs in Total Agony in multiple ER's on several occasions, getting little or no help (Tramadol, Flexeril, ect.,), I finally found a Competent Dr., ready to write for what I needed.

Then the Dr. says "The Registry states it's been months since a PM Dr. wrote scripts for these medications" so he's not sure what he can write for!! What?.., now I'm being punished for the Incompetent Dr.'s who abandoned me & having to wait for months on end to find a new Dr. who could help!! This is an Insane Evil Scheme to get Everyone off Pain Meds, unless you have Cancer your screwed. There are many other excruciating medical conditions just as bad, if not worse than Cancer Pain!!

I'm classified as Perm Total since late 1990's due to a Negligent Work Accident that caused Severe Respiratory/Immune System damage & Back Injuries(14 Herniated Discs/Nerve Impingement with 5 Compression Fractures, Arthritis throughout my body and much more. I've been on Morphine & Fentanly over 17 yrs. successfully, until this recent FDA "Guideline Garbage".

Words of Wisdom, find a new Dr. fast, or you will be punished for that also!!
