I really need to find a good Dr who will prescribed me Fentanyl patches or Oxycontin in the Spokane or Coeur d'Alene area. I have serious back spine slash lumbar issues and Jeanette degenerative disc disorder please help me I am dying please can anyone help should I go to a methadone clinic I am so desperate can anyone help me I am 67 years old and cannot find a doctor to help

I have rheumatoid arthritis and have constant back pain along with that. I am in omaha NE and so far I have gone to two doctors and none have offered me any relief for my pain. Does anyone have any suggestions of a pain doc in my area? I'm tired of the misery and not being able to get out of bed some days, I have a toddler and some days I have to have my husband stay home from work to take care of her bc I can't get myself out of bed. It is awful yet no doctor seems to take me serious.

I am sorry but even if you have documentation, surgeries, never failed drug panels, it is simply impossible to get a doctor to prescribe narcotics or at least cutting them down. If you are getting your meds still you are one of the lucky ones. I fortunately get mine but at a very reduced amount. The doctors are told to cut back or cut off, they look for reasons to get rid of their patients. Who knows what will happen but it's not going to be in the chronic pain patients favor, I know this for sure!!

I have spondylosis, scoliosis, & radiculopathy, I was in pain management til our chief broke the contract with them. The drs at my hospital treat every1 like drug addicts who are in chronic pain. I'm in Tulsa, ok. I'll give access to my medical records to a Dr who will help me.

He was shut down!!! He was closed by the DEA for over prescribing and for several deaths due to overdose. I have just heard after losing his license is now he is in jail for tax fraud.

This is exactly why the government is cracking down on opioids. Not only is it because of addicts ruining it some doctors have been reckless in their prescribing and doctors are told to cut back or they will loose their licenses, they are NOT going to risk their livelihood for anybody. I don't no what the answer is but us lagitame ppl are screwed.

I regret to tell you that the pain management docs will give u ibuprofen, injections abd no narcotics. Their view is if you don't like it, there's the door. That's just how it is. Thanks to the CDC. Good luck!!

Sorry you WILL NOT FIND A LEGIT prescriber in your area willing to treat you with opiates or opiod class medications in this day and age. All pain management is interventional at this time I'm afraid to inform you.

Unless you have a documented drug abuse or severe dependence issue methadone clinics will not be your best alternative. If your an addict then that may very well be your answer but you must realize when medicated at a clinic it's a daily commitment in an environment unsavory to most. The method and treatment mission is not one of pain relief but a stabilization from opiod abuse and addiction in a licensed clinical setting. Regards,

Just a comment- the CDC guidelines claim limits on dosages do Not apply to patients with cancer, hospice, or are on palliative care but that is only what the guidelines are written as, not what the Guidelines actually do to drs who are in fear of DEA's untouchable actions. (Raiding anyone they feel like). The world organization defines palliative care yet it makes no difference because the DEA is above the law. The number of innocent drs who have had their lives ruined I don't have the tally however it definitely has not been acknowledged how much the DEA has overstepped their boundaries, so no wonder drs cannot evaluate legit patients and treat accordingly. What about individual patient needs such as ultra high metabolizers who take low doses that are completely useless due to genetic make up? Even a Cytochrome P450 test which documents the effect of metabolizing meds is not acknowledged by the DEA. Our gov has totally turned their backs on our health, but pretends to be the opposite by producing a Guidelines document which makes the world think they are doing right yet the truth is we are being ignored dying an agonizing death. We need to make sure Trump knows the truth so he can slam all those responsible. With his mouth I am sure he would make certain things are brought out into open and then changed for the better (and for the right).

Sorry for being dumb, but where is chi town? What state and where is it near? I would love to think there are still compassionate drs for LEGIT documented patients. I have records, diagnostics, plus I am obviously in pain due to broken arms, knees which are not able to heal or fix due to bone disease. I lost my 15 yr. pain dr. then couldn't locate another to help my constant pain after trying over 25 drs., going broke on appts., agony of traveling to new offices, etc. Then finally after a 2 hr drive each way I found a dr. to give me a very small amount of pain meds. I now stay in bed everyday.. My life is over, body being destroyed from constant pain so I am not long for this world.

spf5, there is no way anyone can tell you if a particular doctor will treat your pain. All you can do is call the pain management doctors in your area and ask if they take self pay patients. A lot of pain management doctors do Not accept self pay patients. You will also need a copy of your medical records from VA.

I'm from Augusta, GA. I've been on pain meds for years but my primary physician just got out of pain management so I need a new dr quick that will give me hydrocodone 10/325. I'm 65 and have been declared disabled by a federal judge.

This is a response for post number 168 who called themselves ''Common sense''. I call bulls*** to you!! Evidently you have never experienced pain that makes you wish you could have a completely new body!!! I cannot believe you said people looking for pain relief are evidently drug addicts!! No, we are just tired of sleepless nights writhing in pain in bed and long days unable to fricken walk without excruciating pain!! You and the doctors need lessons in humanity!!
