My Dr in San Antonio is adhering strictly to the cdc new suggested guidelines. Personally I think he's phasing out all opioid perscribing. I'm in unbelievable pain and want to change Dr's. It's been 12 years with him as a exemplary patient. Please advise if know a Dr in San Antonio that will help.

CJ amd all posters, i went to the petition to stop the reduction of production of opiods by 25% in 2017, to my surprise there are only 300 supporters!! that is terrible, i look at all these threads and we need more signatures on this petition. also u can post your story. ive read about so many of you sufferimg on mefs chat
.My goal for next 2 days is to post this link on these threads where ppl are askimg for help .

Very, They knew how addictive these meds were 15 or 20 years ago. They collectively made billions pushing them and now that they look bad they say pain meds don't work for chronic pain. The CDC guidelines not laws are an excuse. If they cared about addiction and overdose they would be educating patients. That is the number one thing in the guidelines but time is money. They are taking me and my deformed spine down too. Too low to help. We need to organize, go public with the patients side and remind them that liability cuts both ways. I am in agony.

Hello, My name is Sonja Hall- Parker , a Navy Veteran of 8 years and i am red flagged at the hospitals around me. The doctor that flagged me is from Newman emergency. He misdiagnosed me a few years ago and when I brought it to his attention he stated that i was just in for the pain medication and flagged me, now my own doctor will not perscribe me Norco. I have Lumbargo, Degenerate back disease and a bullet next to my spine. When i went into the emergency room the doctor told me I had GAS then told the nurse to give me a pain shot to shut me up....I left there and went straight to the emergency room in Topeka and I had 3 large kidney stones that had to be surgically and I was hospitalized for 3 days, also had a stent out in. How do I get my name off this RED FLAGGED list. Thank You, Sonja

Cj imso sorry, the link finally appeared in another thtead i thought ot posted on this thread too. GOOGLE petition for gov. to reduce production of opiods in 2017 by 25 % . im going to try and post the link again. If you go to the Thread that says Looking for dr to write PRESCRIPTIONS in Co, i know its there i saw it. thank you for realizing how important it is!

Sonja, there is not a Red Flag list. If your doctor can access your medical records from the ER and other doctors, that is how he found out about it the ER doctor red flagged you as a drug seeker. Is is also possible your insurance company has you red flagged. You may want to get a copy of your medical records from the hospital where you think the doctor red flagged you to see exactly what he wrote.

It is also possible no one has red flagged you. Did your current doctor tell you that he would not prescribe opiates to you any longer because Dr John Doe from XYZ Hospital ER department has flagged you as a drug seeker? Your doctor may have his own reasons for not wanting to prescribe you opiates. Why don't you see a Pain Management Doctor?

To everyone I just talked to someone on the government level, we are going to be heading for no pain meds at all, it is going to get much worse, soon there won't even be pain management facilities any longer. This is very disappointing and frustrating

Has anyone looked into having a pain pump implanted? A doctor is responsible for refilling it at the proper times. I've have mine over 10 years & my dr sets how much goes into my spine each hour of the day. I am not responsible for taking any oral medication. This has helped greatly. I am only prescribed Soma for breakthrough pain.

I was asked to elaborate on my information. I have been communicating with a special task force for Mike DeWine in Ohio since Ohio has so many heroin overdoses. I was asked about my personal story, I am fighting for us, it looks as though after a patient has surgery and after their recovery they will not get narcotics. They are saying narcotics cause more harm in the long run such as nerve damage. I have had numerous conversations on the government level and I am telling everyone right now, pain meds will soon be a thing of the past. I am not giving up on our fight and they are willing to work with me. I will be a pioneer for us, I was told that from their lips. I will continue to post further updates on this situation as I hear more, God help us.

No a Doctor in Las Vegas, Pahrump Nevada to prescribe 240 tablets per month, the medical center here in Pahrump Southest is afrail to prescribe more than 120 per month. Doctors are free king afraid to loose their licenses. UGH. I have been prescribed 240 per month for 18 years and my primary care physician is out and retiring. Sucks, a new generation of doctors? ??
