Can you tell me about any doctors who can prescribe Vicodin

My doctor fired me. I thought she was working for me, but apparently I was working for her. LOL WTF ? On top of that, it's open enrollment time where I can change health providers--I have a choice of 4 plans and I'm not seeing anything about chronic pain drs. in any of them

Count me in! I had to move and trying to find a new doctor to continue with my current pain medicine regimen is nearly impossible. I have been on the same medication with the same dosage for 6 years! You would think that would be enough to show that I am taking to relieve pain and nothing else. I have MRI's, X-Rays, Surgeries, etc... to show the 20+ years of chronic pain. And, now a few years ago diagnosed with Fibro. I seriously think that certain genetics are prone to chronic pain and others are not. I am not sure how Doctors are legally permitted to let their patients be in pain. It seems inhumane to me. And, I DO THINK that a class action suit would be enormous, but I also think down the road it will happen. An Intelligent man once said "IDENTIFYING A PATIENT AS SUFFERING FROM CENTRALIZED PAIN CAN HELP THE DOCTOR AVOID MISLABELING PATIENTS AS DRUG SEEKING ADDICTS. DOCTORS SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT THE GOAL IS NOT TO CURE, BUT TO HELP RESTORE FUNTIONALITY - DR. OZ

Lady D--You go girl, and count me in. My doctor just emailed me that I broke my pain contract by not continuing with MAPS that she sent me to (they don't believe in narcotics--wanted me to go to physical therapy, which I've already done and I don't think all the p..t. in the world will change the shape of my back)Anyway, she says she can't treat me because I broke the contract. I'm about ready to hang it up. I'm tired of having to fight everyone to get pain meds.

I wish there was a way to get a hold of a good attorney to commence a class action suit against pain management providers who market for pain relief. There are so many issues on this forum that scream class action. I wish I was an attorney!

When my doctor put me on gabapentin, I asked her what it was for. She said pain and.......(big pause) and I said "b****iness?" and she said mood. I said I thought I was being so b****y because of the pain, and she said pain shouldn't make you crabby(!?!) WTH--apparently she's never been in pain.

Clare 474--I hear you!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish we could put all the doctors in our pain!!!! They act like we're just big whiney babies, when in fact we're in so much pain, it's ruining our lives. My son and my ex(who used to be supportive) are staying away from me 'cuz they're sick of hearing about it

Hi Clare, a lot of online pharmacies claim they sell vicodin but they are really selling bogus drugs. The drugs even look like the real thing — same color, same imprint — but they work more like valium. they put you to sleep right away. if anybody knows from experience an online pharmacy that sells real vicodin I hope they can let everybody here know.

Howdy all, I know of a great honest online pharmacy that has been around for over 10 years. They carry vicodin and a couple other pain med's, not sure which, because I don't order my pain med's. Let me know if your interested..

Oh Cindy, that's just so crazy. I have chronic back pain as well. I wouldn't wish the paain I have everday of my life on anyone! But tell me, I bet if these damn doctors went through one day of the pain we have , they sure as hell would be taking some pretty strong pain meds!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so tired of doctors playing God! They have the proof from our x rays, MRI Etc. And still do they care? I have yet to find one that does!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to go on line this, I just wish their was something we could do abut this. We shouldn't have to live out lives in constan PAIN!. If you can't get hold of a doctor that will help you, let me know. My doctor will give me Norce, but that's it and it of course doesn't work as well as it used too, because I have been taking it so long. This health care system really sucks, unless your rich!!!! Which by no means am I.

So check this out. My pd has been prescribing me 4 Vics a day for the last 2 years for my chronic back pain(25 yrs of lordosis). I asked her if she could increase the dosage as they weren't working as good as they used to. She says I need to go to a pain clinic and they'll give me more. She sends me to MAPS--yes, the same one injecting menningitis--they said they don't believe in narcotics. I look on the internet under pain doctors, find a doc, call, explain my story, sure they prescribe narcotics, get there and they say no they don't. The third one I know for a fact has given a friend of mine oxy10s and fentynal patches. Same thing--make an appointment--two days before I was to go in I get a call saying that they're not a pain clinic and she doesn't prescribe pain meds. She tells me to go back to my pd, who refuses to prescribe any vics now and says narcotics are for people with cancer or end of life. Seriously, I emailed her back and said "so I have to hope to get cancer so I can have meds for my back pain?" Does this make sense to anyone?
