I have a very close friend who suffers from severe, debilitating and chronic back pain. The doctor she has been seeing since before all the conditions (compressed disk, osteoporosis, ect.) began prescribing her pain meds. For years she searched for some other way of relief, and after several tests and MRI's, she was told that no surgery would help, and to continue pain treatments. She tried the shots for almost a year, but like many people, they did not relieve the pain. She finally accepted that pain meds were the only thing that helped, and would allow her to even have body function. She was pronounced unable to work, and tried to put her focus into her three kids and four grandchildren. While she still felt the pain, she was at least able to move around her house and help care for her grandchildren. A few months ago, she was forced to change insurance carriers, and could no longer see her regular doc. I helped her go thru the exhausting process of finding a new doc that too new patients and her insurance. It's now been over two weeks since she took her last pain med, and we are still no closer to finding a doc that will prescribe them for her. For the first time in ten years she could not host a Thanksgiving dinner for her family due to the pain, and hardly being able to move. After dinner with my family, I went to visit her, spending three hours holding her hand while she cried in pain, both physical and emotional. I am in disbelief on how this can be allowed to happen....people who don't even need it are getting it every day, and a woman who truly needs it is tossed aside. She has all documents, scans, reports, the whole bit, proving what she has, and everything she's tried. If anyone knows of a doctor that might help, please please write a reply. This woman has been by my side thru my darkest days, and has heart that never stops trying for others. Location is Kansas City, Missouri. Please, I don't know what else to do. I've looked up every place I can think of, and no one can help, or see her anytime soon. Thank you.

I can't believe you just throw the Norco away.........I've needed that medication and have been prescribed but I'm having more trouble getting any quantity of it now for, migraines, bursitis, and I even have an occasional lower back issue. It's hard to hear someone would just get rid of something that I actually could benefit from. I've spent a hundred bucks with insurance in the last week for prescriptions that last about 2-3 days.

need a doctor in shinnston clarksburg or bridgeport w.va always in constant pain use to be on lortab10 and percocet10 plus xanax for the anxiety from pain fibromyalgia,hip pain ad back pain from car wrecks plus pinched nerves in neck and shoulder played softball for 10 yrs got pregnant hsd to stop everything and just moveddown here cant find a dr. to help me. please is hard to work at my job and take care of my son the pain is getting unbearable never abused anything in my life

I have had horrible pain n my left knee and right (mostly left) that goes from the left side of my lower back all the way down to my foot. Iv had this problem since i w as 13 and they culdnt find what was wrong. I need something to manage the pain. Ive been to methadone clinics ofr it, i couldnt afford that now I haave to find a new doc who will give me something stong bc the vicodin jus dont work. I have a 4month old i cant even get on the floor with bc i cant get back up. PLS HELP!

Thanks for this information. A little too far for me to go. I truly can't believe how difficult it is to get medication for severe pain. I am seeing a chiropractor who is helping a little but I literally have to stand up at meetings at work with my arm above my head to lessen the pain in my neck. If anyone knows anyone in nyc area who can prescribe hydrocodone, would truly appreciate it. i have only taken one 7.5 mg per day during work hours and it alleviates the pain so i don't have to keep my arm up. If i take more than one a day they stop working so I limit myself to keep it effective when i really need it. Anyone else in this horrible situation??

Vancouver Washington Dr Steven Lu will precribe anything you want. Especially fir cash patients. He is not a great Dr and is definitely in the business to legally dope deal. He will precribe you upon request your favorite opiate along wuth some xanax to help you sleep and deal wuth withdrawal. Check him out in Vancouver wa.

Justin, I cannot imagine what you're going through. I will say this though. There are legitimate pain patients here that require medication. You cannot punish the people that use these medications because of the ones that abuse it. I hope that you never have pain that most of the people here are dealing with. Again you cannot say everyone on pain medication is an addict. There are those of us who use it responsibly. It improves the quality of our lives. Being in pain can really affect the quality of your life! Again my condolences to you and your family.

I have no words to even say that would help ease your pain. Especially coming from a stranger. A lot of us on here are trying to find doctors because we moved. I like myself. I had a car accident which led to having severe injuries and major surgery.being on them for so long i am.sure i do have a dependency for pain meds. I am older im more worried aboit my 13 yr old deciding to try pills. Though i.keep mine in a pill sage theres always away.
Anyway its so sad to see the younger 20 s and teens getting addicted. We do have a major addiction problem and im so.glad uou had the strength to.share your story
Maybe you can sleep a little better knowing you may have saved aomeones life. And once again i am.truley sorry for your.loss
Having 3 children of my own i can say your a very strong women and i hope with time your pain heals.

I am in NYC East Village. I have 2 bulging discs in my neck that leave me unable to sit without raising my arm above my head. I am in need of hydrocodone (vicodin) which has helped in the past but the doctor I used years ago is no longer in New York. Any recommendations for a doctor that will prescribe hydrocodone for severe pain?

This is Justin Lee, Cindy Lee's son. She posted on here some time ago looking for prescription vicodin, and was from MN. I'm not sure how much she posted or if any of you contacted her.

She committed suicide last week and we found her Tuesday. She had a major substance abuse problem and isolated herself from everyone who loved her. She was mentally and physically unstable and was abusive towards me and my father. Just wanted to let everyone have that update. I know that many of you are struggling with substance abuse and in need of help. Please seek it. Talk with your friends and family about your problems and get a counselor.
