Cpr in whaetridge co Dr. May

chaos just be careful spreading his name around. We don't want him flooded with people who could get him in trouble. If all you people have legitimate issues and paperwork to back it up then you can go to Dr. May. But we need to be careful spreading his name all over. That's the last thing that needs to happen is people not really in pain getting him shut down by the DEA. Then we'll all be screwed.

Lisa I see this post was in oct. 2013. I have some news for you. in wheatridge co there is a place called CPR. Dr. May I have heard is the best!! However before they make the appointment you have to fax over your paperwork. MRI, Ct scans etc, I ve also heard you need a referral from your primary. The first visit is 250.00 cash they take only cash, second visit is 150. 0r 175.oo they do seek out the abusers!! (thank God) it's a large reason we real pain patients are in this situation, PCP's dropping pain patients because the DEA is breathing down their throats and patients lying and dr. shopping. There is also Unified Health Group-They take medicade &medicare. They are a more holisitic place. I took a friend of a neighbor there and they turned her away so fast it was ridiculous. Come to find out she was dr. shopping like crazy . Well she had knee surgery and 1 month after the surgery she went and got more meds even though her pcp was writing her 180 30mg oxycodone and she had a contract. The pcp wasn't upset at the scrip written right after the surgery but but 6 30mg oxycodone a day is a lot of meds, to me I would have ade that last or went to Pcp and sought other non-opiate meds or remedies like lyrica( works wondrs for me in combo with my my meds) anyway Also we have a thread started by a young man in 2012. it has this info & more docs that others have listed. go through the thread you will find them. We get newcomers and they ask "i'm looking for a doc etc. etc, and the first reply is to look through the thread there are other places 2 but in my opinion CPR of Unified Health Group are the ones I see ppl have the best results with. Anyway welcome to our thread it titled "doctoers willing to prescribe heavy pain medication in Colorado" Good luck once you get to that thread you will be ok..

Aww Mac I did it again. I will be careful from now on. You are absolutely correct!! don't wanna ruin it for those who need it plus it's not like CPR can treat the whole state of Colorado!! My apologies!!

It's ok. I just don't want things to be ruined for all of us Ya know? But luckily they're good at getting rid of seekers. I just don't want things to get messed up because he is one of the few doctors that is actually truly helpful for those who need the help and not for the people who are abusers and want to feel high.

And I take 6 2mg bars, 4 kpins a day, 5-30mg ADDYS & 15 norc 10s with a 100mcg/hr patch on, YET STILL IN PAIN! I broke my c4,5,6,7 & entire back, I was ONLY 3/8th of an inch from being completely paralyzed & BOTH OF MY ACL'S are 100% torn bone to bone sometimes I kneel down and can't get up, haven't had surgery cause I have county insurance & I kind of want to not be In a wheel chair at the age of 32..... I've been pistol whipped, took my last breAth I thought I was dead and have had more than 100 staples for various other surgeries, glad I get 180
2mg bars, 150 of the 30mg IR peach ADDYS, 120 2mg kpins & 90norcs so I had to chime into that post they were getting investigated and had the hot PR nurse writing scripts after that slow ass lady would make you wait for 2+ hours instead of 2 mins with Mr may all those guys came from Florida they KNOW what they're doing. I'm sure ATLEAST one of u has seen me in there I know a doc that will give 600+ a month, & HE IS STILL OPEN AND CRACKING OUT IN DENVER!!

I called the number and they are open and see people, so Dr May is not the I've seeing anyone? My doc does write liberally, but I am thinking of a different Dr for loss of reasons. My concern is that ritalin really does help my rheumatoid arthritis, but the new patient forms say no psych drugs. Anyone know a doc in Denver that can work with my RA pain, Suboxone (which I'm not sold on, but it's better than the opioid haze of 2 years I got out of) and will not balk at ritalin for pain?

That's a common misconception that May was shut down. I still see him at CPR every once in a while. He is a head honcho at a Hospital in OK but he still comes to CPR about 5 days a month. But Dr. Vasquez is a very understanding man as well, and when May isn't there Vasquez is the guy. But I would love to have a backup in case some fool messes things up.

I am just like you and basically almost to the T. I have the same exact problems. I was seeing a PCP in Parker, CO and he originally had me on 7 10 mg of methadone a day, 4 10 mg of oxycodone a day, and 2- 2mg of Alprazolam which is the generic for Valium. It helped me a little to take the edge off, but then he cut me all the way down from 7 methadone to 2 a day all in 2 months that I've been on for 15 years steady, and 1-2 percocets a day and left the Valium the same. Now i am in worse pain than ever, cannot unction, could barely walk, need assistance getting out of bed, also have dis degenerative disc disease. herniated, shattered decenegrated disc so bone rubbing on bone all the way from L3 to S1, I also have severe upper neck and back problems as well which is where it originally started, Severe Arthritis in my back,, nerve damage, fiber Myalgia, thoracic outlet syndrome, chronic pain syndrome, severe nerve damage in my back, legs, hips, and feet, narrowing of the nerve roots, etc, if i listed everything we'd be here for hours, probably days! Both my feet, hands, and legs swelled up like balloons so am having a very hard time typing this, and all he could tell me is that he cannot write for more than that and if i need the higher doses i would need to see a pain specialist. So he sent me to a pain specialist in Centennial, CO all to tell me she is leaving my pain meds the same cause I've been on them for 15 years and i am gonna ruin my insides so we want to do all these other procedures. She said there is more that, that can be done than just pain meds, but she left me at the low doses and it doesn't help my pain plus withdraws at the same time. I am very uncomfortable. Do you have any idea what i can do, this is not working for me. All i wanted was at least 4 methadone a day and 4 percocets for break through pain, many people on here are on way more crap than me, so i don't think that is too much to ask for. I need a Dr that will write for higher doses, even put me back on Oxycontin IR or fetanyl patches, at least was more comfortable. Can you please help me or send me in the right direction, anyone i need a pain Dr that will give me my pain meds and the higher doses or stronger meds. I would be forever grateful. It should be mandatory for Dr's who treat people like us to be in the same situation so they know our pain, or know exactly what we go through everyday so they have a better understanding of why we need these pain meds unlike junkies out there who can get them all day long, and for what? they just want to feel high, ooh! that pisses me off so bad, cause if it wasn't for them them us people that are in real true pain that do need them, it wouldn't be so hard to impossible to get. It's a punishment, as for most Dr"s, it's like they want to be a**holes on a person and it's feel's like a control thing."Well it's up to me whether your gonna be in pain today, next week, or the nest month I live in Colorado, well Westminster, Co to be exact but will travel as long as it's in CO. My husband has to drive me, i can't even drive anymore cause my back is so messed up and can't sit or stand for long periods. God i hate this!

Arissa,

Colorado Pain And Rehabilitation

They are online just Google, they are in Lakewood and Englewood.

Dr. Steven Wright, his assistant nurse is Val.

He takes NO crap, UA's randomly, expects you to have a specialist for your disease(s), or at least proof of underlying condition that caused the pain. Plus a shrink for any mental health drugs not used for pain, and a primary care (he won't write b/c or synthroid, etc). I'm anon NOT because he's iffy, BUT because I'd be destroyed if he had to deal with a shopper and knew it was my fault.

He's changed my life for the better. Just remember that a win in pain management is a 30% improvement. My disease is illusive and incurable and up till recently, untreatable. Give them a ring. I cannot speak on the other docs at either office as I've followed Dr. Wright from other offices.

Sarah-have your doc send you to a medical psychiatrist for one visit. She'll OK your psych drug and your PIC can then prescribe. It's a CYAmove and your doc need the backup to avoid getting shut down.

Oh no, I didn't notice that!
Thank you, that makes me feel a lot better. He was a nice person, just couldn't take it when they took his meds away.
Once again, thank you very much

Re: Smalls (# 65) Expand Referenced Message

I think it could very well be the same individual because if you look at the time stamp of their message in this thread (# 2), it was from 2013, before they passed away. Sad thing regardless...

Re: MAC686 (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

May I ask why you are using MAC686? The user of this tag died several years ago by suicide! You can verify this on the thread (Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication in Colorado.) He was the original opener of that thread. Several people who personally know him can confirm this. Please explain, I am really confused and upset about this!
Thank you.

I'm tellin ya, if anyone is still looking, try Mountain Medical Injury (mountainmedicalinjury.com). They deal with severe pain patients AND addiction medicine. They also seem to be cool with MMJ, as long as you have your "red card". There is ALWAYS MMJ in my U/A's, and they never give me a hard time about it. They know I take CBD products. I am on 75mgs of tablet Methadone there.

Rainday 63,
Unfortunately specialists have been strongly encouraged to cease prescribing methadone for chronic pain relief.Only methadone clinics are utilizing it for opiate replacement or detox purposes and NEVER in combination with a benzodiazepine class medication under any circumstances. Its becoming increasingly challenging to find any provider willing to use opiate/opioid type meds to treat chronic pain unless every other interventional technique has failed to provide measurable relief.

JASON: Who are u asking? Clicking "reply" doesn't post your comment to anyone in particular, so you have to specify. Not the best system.

Just moved back to Colorado after breaking my back and having multiple surgeries and a leg amputated. Will you please give me the information on the Dr you are speaking of.

MERCY: Try Mountain Medical. They have two different offices and a few different doctors. Dr. Wright, who was mentioned in this thread, is now their director. It is a fairly new clinic so they do not yet take insurance. ($300 the first visit, $150 thereafter).
