Doctors Prescribe Pain Medication

Hi there, I have spinal stenosis, 2 herniated discs, and five tears in different discs, don't want surgery, looking for a doctor that will prescribe Percocet in the orange county, CA area

The main issue here is trying to find a doctor that will prescribe any specific medication. Technically, any doctor with a medical license can legally prescribe any medication, but when you are trying to look for a specific one, they usually view that as drug seeking behavior and won't even let you get in the door for an appointment.

If you require such a drug for long-term treatment of chronic pain, under the new regulations, you'll have to see a pain management specialist.

And in regards to that, if surgery is an option that could help you and you refuse it, it's going to be very difficult to get someone to continue treating you and prescribing anything.

Do you have a doctor that you're currently seeing regularly?

Are you a doctor that prescribes medications for pain? If so, where are you located? I'd even be willing to travel to wherever is needed to get some relief and start my medication regimen back again. This whole ordeal has been so frustrating. I'm at my wits end...

My doctor in Tucson, Az has left the practice. I have multiple issues with pain, lupus, and hep c. Are their any practioners that will help me with my pain medicine regime, short of going to pain management which would not address these issues? I'm unable to work any longer, and was attempting to go on disability, I'm 63 and need help.

We all seem to be having the same problem here. Have need for pain medication but no dr's seem to be prescribing. I have my mri's showing chronic problems. Should be on a long acting and Breakthrough. I'm in withdrawl already and have no dr. Any help is much appreciated. Looking in Queens, long Island and Brooklyn thank you for any help.
