Cyprolex

Cipralex is a brand name for Escitalopram, also sold under the brand name Lexapro. It is an SSRI antidepressant.
Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache.

Another thing you should be aware of when taking any of this class of antidepressants is that, in some people, they can also cause severe weight gain.
I was on Zoloft for several years and it is the only time in my life I ever gained weight, even though my eating and activity habits did not change. Once I stopped taking it, the weight immediately dropped off.
Does anyone else have experience using this drug, or drugs in this class?
Have been on Cyprolex for 18 months; excessive weight gain for sure and nausea. Was prescribed this med for the first time in my life due to a grieving process and have found them to be very effective for what they were intended to treat, however, the weight gain is depressing all by itself!
