Cymblta Hypersomia

I have been taking cymblta 60mg twice a day.I'm not depressed any more but now have hypersomia to the point of not being able to get out of bed.I also just started tapering my dose of kolonopin down from 2mgs to 1.5. But had hypersomia since starting on cymblta 1 year ago.Please help

Hello, Elise! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having.

Somnolence can be a normal side effect of this medication, as reported by the FDA. It can also cause dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes.

However, since it hasn't gone away in over a year, you may need to try a different medication. It is an SNRI antidepressant and there are several others that you could try, if your doctor approves.

Has anyone else experienced this while taking Cymbalta?

Hello Verwon,thank you for your reply.
I didn't even know what was going on,because it started about 3 months after I started on Cymblta.Will talk to my doctor about this problem,don't want to ad more meds as 2 is 2 to many!
