I have just had dental surgery in mexico and this is the antibiotic they prescribed it is 300 mg. contains 21 capsules in a pink blister pack generic for Clindamicina . made in mexico for Siegfried Rhein . dosage take one every 12 hours.

Sounds like Clindamicina translates to the American name Clindamycin.

I had dental surgery in Mexico and they gave me this med to take. I have a terrible and painful infection. I wonder if this is being helpful.

I also had dental work done across the boarder. I was prescribed Clendix 300MG but the Mexican pharmasist substituted Clindanicina. I took the med and went to bed. Within a few minutes, I experienced a sensation in my chest similar to acid reflux along with a yucky after taste. I have a bad habit of taking medication without liquids. I did this with the Clindamicina too. Has anyone else had a similar experience? It has been over an hour now and I still am experiencing the discomfort. What is the proper dosing method, lots of water, food and water or ...?

I am currently taking the same medication here in Guadalajara, Mexico. I am having the same symptoms. I have just taken my fourth pill and within a minute I got a burning sensation at the lower ribs. I had the same in the morning and in the afternoon. I am going to stop the medication now. What is the reason for the burning acid type feeling in the upper stomach area? How can it be neutralized or stopped?

I am experiencing the same reaction - feeling pain/discomfort in the lower chest within a minute after taking the pill.I have been taking the pills 5 days. Should I stop? Dentist in Mexico asked me to take it for 7 days.

I was told by both the dentist and the pharmacist to EAT FOOD with it. it tears my stomach up if i dont eat at least some toast.

Clendix should be taken 15 mins after eating. Thats the reason ur experiencing discomfort.

I also am taking Clendix from a very trusted dentist in Mexico. I get nausea, near vomiting and a very foul taste in my mouth. I do not like these symptoms.

I also have been prescribed Clensix. It has been bothering my stomach even tho I make sure that I eat which is very important, and also dring a lot of water. I think it is working but I have only been on it 3 full days and need to stay on it 7

I, also was given this by dentist for on going dental infection too great for dental work. I have not had any discomfort from stomach, but eat often.
Some antibiotics require one not drink milk while taking them. I got no instructions about food, does anyone know if this is the case here?

I came from the U.S. To Mexico and had a root canal done..due to the cost factor and our crapy dental insurance....had my root canal and my husband and I are enjoying beautiful Mexico. Now several weeks prior to my appointment I took aloe, a high dosage of vitamin C, along with lymph drainage drops I ordered on line (better quality products) (any time you have dental work or surgery you need to rev up your immune system along with healthier foods...no processed). I am currently taking Clendix and have had no problems. We are staying in an apartment and I made sure to bring a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide to keep the surfaces clean while we are here. You can spray the shower floor, easy disinfectant process..... Over all I have found that by continuing to keep your immune system in check your body will not react to side effects of medicine because your body is healthy enough to fight it

Next time have your very experienced Medical persona write in Zofran (ondansetron) is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by surgery. Mexico has a great system, much better than here. Because the Pharmacist can do what they do best and the Doctor can do what they do best (and be told by the big Pharma salesforce what to write for.) Doctors get stuck with writing the same thing for everybody. If your surgery even might cause nausea get the Ondansetron. In Algodones, go to Phoenix pharmacia. They know how to treat people.

Hi Michael,
I also traveled to Mexico for dental work. They were unable to preform the needed root canal due to infection and have prescribed the same drug. My face is swollen slightly and the site is a bit warm to the touch and sensitive. I haven't take antibiotics often so I am hoping it knocks it out quickly. Have you seen improvement since your posting?
