Brintellix Withdrawal Scared

I have been taking 10 mg of brintellix for 7 weeks my doctor gave me samples and yesterday wrote me a prescription my insurance doesn't cover it and I can't afford it living on disability will I have withdrawals? I'm scared I have been through a lot in the last year. I'm not even sure if I should be on an antidepressants I have hyperthyroidism and Graves disease they haven't got my thyroid levels straight yet which could be the cause of all of my problems I don't know what to do?? I'm scared of withdrawal

You won't get severe withdrawals, like someone would if they were abusing a narcotic and suddenly stopped taking it. Antidepressant withdrawals include dizziness, body aches, drowsiness, diarrhea, irritability and mood swings.

What I'd suggest is going back to your doctor to let them know that you can't get this prescription. There are alternative medications they can prescribe that your insurance should cover, or would are available as generics, so you could more easily afford them.

Does anyone else have any ideas to offer?

I was on 10mgs a day for 5 months. I felt it wasn't doing anything anymore and that I could come off them, so I have, for the past 10 days. No withdrawals symptoms at all for me! I'm hoping that it's done what it says it does and re-trained my brain. With spring here I can build exercise in more easily and hopefully keep my seratonin levels up from here. I will have no shame if I feel I need to use them again though.
