blue gel capsule P50 I found a small oval blue - gel capsule with P50 in white letters written on it. Can anyone tell me what this pill is used for. Thank you for any insight you may have. Concerned mom.

Is the capsule all blue or half blue half white? Is it possible the imprint is BP50? Please post back with any more information so I can assist you better.

The only lead which I have found is that it could be Ibuprofen - Below is an image of the capsules in question which I found with a Men's Health article. The article states "It's not just the pain reliever you choose, but the form it comes in. Liquid-gel capsules of disolved ibuprofen reach the bloodstream almost 60 percent faster than the solid form."



But this is still speculative and I have not yet made a definite confirmation with any of the professional sources. I'm just going off the picture and what the article said about it.

Has anyone else made any headway??

Notice: This is NOT Ibuprofen

This medication has been identified as Wal-Som Oral 50 mg, which contains Diphenhydramine 50 mg.

It is used as an over the counter sleep-aid, sold by Walgreen's.

That med is the same as found in the antihistamine Bendryl. Causes drowsiness. Also can cause confusion in elderly.

blue capsule with writing, can be a ibuprofen, of generic brand, and also the diphenhydramine is equivalent to benadryl to make sleep good for adults to help with allergies, sleep, but it is better to get the liquid even generic that states children diphenhydramine or children ibuprofen on package will also state compare to, look for these things when dealing with children as you WANT to make sure your child at an age are watched out for REYE SYNDROME.
