I'm having same problem I've tested for ampthenmines and I don't take I was take benadryl and norvasc I'm like idk wth is going on man and its still coming up in my urine I'm in a mdone clinic there looking into it.

I tested positive for meth. Have never ever, and would never ever take meth!! The only thing that could cause this is the diphenhydramine that I take. I do take more than recommended. The confirmatory was also positive. And nobody can say that is impossible, because it is possible it did happen!!!!!!!!'''

I take diphenhydramine on a daily basis and never test positive for anything on a 12 panel drug test which includes EtG testing.

I'm currently on probation and am in a very strict court program where I take anywhere from 3-7 UA's a week. I take diphenhydramine every night as a sleep aid, and in all honesty, I take a more than the advised 30 ml dose.

All of my test's so far have been negative for everything. I was concerned I may test positive for alcohol or a benzo. The staff at the UA company told me the only way you can only test positive for anything would be by drinking several bottles of diphenhydramine. I know everyone here is looking into this for different things showing up, so I hope this helps, but you may want to look into what else you are taking that could be causing a positive on your test.

If anyone is concerned about diphenhydramine showing up as alcohol on a test, you MUST BE SURE that the diphenhydramine you are taking does not contain alcohol in it. For instance the brand Zzzquil has two versions of diphenhydramine as a sleep aid, one that contains 10% alcohol and one that does not contain any alcohol. You just have to be sure to check the inactive ingredients as well. I have found tremendous results with the CVS brand of diphenhydramine as a sleep aid. It has surprisingly worked better than prescribed medicines.

Cps has taken my son, they said I had failed for amphetimine. I hadn't done methim almost 2 years!! How could that be possible? I take diphenhydramine hci 25mg pain reliever pm and diphenhydramine hci 50mg night time sleep aid every night to help me sleep. Could this have been the reason?

Yes it could have caused a false positive. Make them send your urine to a lab.
