Bactrim Ds 800 160 Tab And Vyvanse 10 Mg Cap

My doctor told me it would be ok to take these two drugs together. They both state that nausea can be a side effect. When I was taking the Bactrim I had no symptoms but the day I took both, my stomach hurt for three days and of course I did not take another vyvanse since. I am writing because when I used to take Adderal and drink coffee a few hours before, I would have the same symptoms and now. since I had coffee just before taking these pills, I am wondering if the coffee is the cause and not the combined pills. thanks

It is likely that the combination of the Coffee and Vyvanse are the cause, since they are both stimulants, so together they may be too much for you. However, only your doctor can discover the cause for sure.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

I appreciate the response. I imagine it was the caffeine and when I get done with these antibiotics, I will get back on the vyvanse and not drink coffee at all, which will not only be better for me but I cannot go through that stomach business again.
