I have been an arthritis sufferer for more than 15 years. Based on experience and extensive research I have done over the past years, I can tell you most types of arthritis cannot be 100% eradicated. Using NSAIDs (such as Naproxen) and COX-2 inhibitors (such as Celebrex) can only achieve short term reduction of inflammation and pain. The bottomline to control arthritis is thru exercise and right diet. Out of curiosity, I went to the Arthri-D website and had a look on it ingredients.
Here is my opinion:
Glucosamine, Chrondroitin, and MSM are effective in promoting cartilage regeneration, but have to be taken on a long term, and regular basis. But then you can buy a big bottle of these supplements from Walmart for less than $20.
Yucca: No proof whatsoever that it helps arthritis.
Bromelain: Usually sold together with Quercetin, Bromelain has some anti-inflammatory abilities, if taken in high dosage. But it also has its side effects.
Vitamin C and D: Yes, they are good for joints and bones, but again, you can either get them thru diet or as supplements.
Magnesium: Relaxes muscles. Should be taken with calcium. SUre, it is good for the bones too, but same with other vitamins and minerals, you can get it from food and supplements.
Other ingredients that are natural COX-2 inhibitors, as claimed in the infomercial: all COX-2 inhibiting contents have side-effects. In particular, when taken long-term, say over a period of several weeks and depending on the dosage, all COX-2 inhibitor drugs are harmful to the liver, be they synthetic or natural. When a supplement that is claimed to have COX-2 inhibiting ability, be careful not to use it as a long-term solution to your arthritis pain.

I don't know how much Arthri-D is sold for, but certainly not cheap, since it is on informercial. Seriously, if you can buy most of the safe ingredients (e.g. Glucosamine, Chrondroitin, and MSM) in Arthri-D from Walmart or local grocery stores, why spend the extra money to buy Arthri-D?

I don't trust infomercials, they tell many truths but the service and perhaps their products are very lacking and overly expensive. There are many products out there that can help people, but what may work for one individual may not work for another person.

I've been involved in natural healing for over thirty years and have done a great deal of research on medical problems and conditions. What the gentleman on the television stated was quite true...as far as he went but there is much more. Put in simple terms...Inflamation is the body's way of getting attention to heal the problem going on in our bodies. A person needs to know what is causing the inflamation.

One cause of inflamation is a person's allergic reaction to certain proteins such as found in wheat or other plants in the grass family. Another example is a person who is allergic to molds consuming foods with hidden molds. Many chemically changed molds are added to an endless list of foods we eat every day. Two examples are:

Citric acid: derived from a mold and it is added to almost every food....from soda pop to a can of soup.

Rennet: on a package of cheese you will read one ingredient as being rennet.....it use to be an enzyme from the stomach of an animal...natural...then a few short years ago a new rennet was added, it is derived from a mold. If the additive says microbial be suspect that it derived from a mold.

Some people are allergic to a protein in milk and may not even know it because there are no obvious signs. Over time damage may be occurring in the large intestines and colitis could be the end result.

Proper nutrition is important but even more important is knowing what foods that are nutritious may also be damaging to you.

The reason I am placing this reply in this area is because many many people today are suffering from allergies. Mainly because our immune systems have been compromised from too many drugs, too much exposure to pollutants and too many vaccines. People associate allergies with sneezing and rashes and while this is true you can also have allergies that do not react in this way. Inflamation is one such reaction and it can do a great deal of damage to our bodies.

If you eat of lot bread (which is also full of chemicals unless you make your own from scratch) or other wheat products, stop eating them for a month and see what happens. Go have testing done by your doctor to find out for sure. The same goes for products containing citric acid and cheese products. If you know you have an allergy to molds, it is not only obvious molds around your home or penicillin you need to watch out for but also the foods you eat.

There is more people can do as well. Filter your water from the tap to eliminate chemicals, quit using perfumed products both for the body and household cleaners and deoderizers. Use as much natural products as you can afford financially although in truth they can be less expensive both in money and health.

One reason Arthri-D can produce results in some people is because they probably had low vit.D levels in their bodies. Pain and inflamation are two symptoms of not enough vit. D.

MSM also works on inflamation. I use a lotion that contains Glucosamine, MSM and Arnica along with other ingredients. MSM is transdermal, which means it is absorbed through the skin into the blood stream and will go through the whole body not just the spot you apply it on.

I hope something I have written here will be of some help to someone.

This ad was good, really spoke to me and all the pain I am in. BUT, I don't like the lack of information on ingredients and cost! I called and hung up when the girl was inpatient with my few questions. If he is sincere the info should be an open book!

Thanks Linda Rachetto,

I was beginning to think perhaps I was the only one brave enough to try it and get good results.

Arthi-D's infomercial is a lot of hype and very little valuable information. They purposely do not discuss the price. It is as follows as per my call yesterday: $119.98 (retail price) for 2 bottles and 1 for free with S/H of $12.99. After that the monthly amount is $39.99 + $7.99 for S/H. So $48 a month thereafter and no one has said that they have tried it or had good results.

Have been giving my husband Glucosamine, chondroitin, msm formula for 25 yrs. many differant brands. Started the latest one (Tri Flex) about a month ago and he is almost pain free so brands do differ. Also I certainly did not pay $55.00 a bottle. I buy one and get one half price. We are bothe amazed. Husband did not know I made the switch and asked me what I was giving him that was differant. He has never been pain free. His knee is bone on bone and also very little pain. As for Arthri-D
I too am skeptical.

Just took a look on the product's website:

There is nothing in the ingredient list that you cannot get in a health food/vitamin store or elsewhere online (for MUCH less).

I have tendonitis in my lower inside ankle area. Not sure why the inflammation appeared. Have had it over 3 months. Read above that whey protien could be a cause. I drink about 100 grams of whey protein a day to help increase muscle. I lift weights about 5 days a week. I am a 50 year old male. Could the protein be the problem?

Has anyone else tried SierraSil Joint Formula 14? I have to rave about the results I've had. Take a look at the website. www.sierrasil.com No stomach aches, headaches, diarrhea and the results are excellent. Reasonably priced for what you get.

i called 1-800-329-8803 to find out how much Arthri-D was Here are prices that I was told. I was told that I would get the same prices that they gave me on Sept. 19: But 2 get 1 free = 3 bottles, price is 119.98 plus S+H. Buy 3 Bottles and get another 3 free, price -179.99 pus 19.99 S+H. Use what your taxes are in your area. She did't know what to do for the Canadians - didn't have any info, just was grasping at straws. mentioned I have a fiancee that would like to start also and we didn't want to spend too much. I asked how much it was for 1 bottle, he said 59.99. He then mentioned, I can give you a discount 39.99 plus, 7.99 if you want another one , you get another free. but next is 39.99 and any after is 47.00 I asked if that was with or with taxes, he didn't know. I told him that I had to talk it over with my fiancee and I asked if I'd get the same offer If I called back, he said I would.

Parrothead,
I just spoke with the company that I bought my Arthri D from. It is 5:41 p.m. and I got right through. The representative assured me that there is no problem getting money back as long as the product is returned within the time period stated. I bought my product in July and yes, I bought a lot. I called them at that time and asked about extending the 30 day money back guarantee and they did. This representative today assured me that I still have until October 16 to return my empty bottles and remaining product if it has not worked for me as desired.

I told him about your post and he says to please call around 3 or 4 pm when the calls slow down. He will try and help you get satisfaction. Please call on this number: 800-330-1326.

By the way, the product is working great for me but not for my wife. Her knees will need further doctor's intervention. Good Luck.

I saw this commercial yesterday (9-21-10) called (800-329-6385) talked to Carter (quite polished) - wanted $132.97 for 3 bottles - he said you must take this product for at least 90 days. The catch - they will continue sending bottles every month - if you don't want them, you have to call and tell them or get billed! I asked how much one bottle was, and he said one bottle during their TV time was $47.98 after time $59.99. But, what good is one bottle if you must take them for 3 months? I asked why they don't sell this product in stores - answer - Who is going to buy it when it is next to a cheaper product...? I asked what is so great about this product - answer - All natural products, not synthetic.

I got off the phone quite quickly!

Try Fish Oil, Salmon Oil and Flax Seed Oil. They all have Omega 3, 6 and 9, as well as anti-inflamatory properties. It worked for me and it's all natural. I use the the Sundown brand.
