I don't know who these people talked to when they called, because I got a free one month's supply (shipping not included of course) and will get a bottle per month for a little over $40 until I elect to stop. They had some high priced offers which, in long run would save money per bottle, but wanted to see if I even liked the product. Haven't found much help from doctors so have to keep trying to find some relief. These are natural ingredients so don't think it can harm me. Time will tell.

Missyc sounds like you may have some kind of connection there or you work for them because no-way anyone gives it for free. Don't believe you!

Ya, their latest infomercial gives you a free 1 month supply to try. My mother just called me asking if I thought it was a rip off, or if it really worked. I'm still doing research.

I ordered this product 6/12/2010 after watching infomercial.I still have not recieved it.However I was told I could get $100.00 of free gas if I subscribed to some health letter for $16.95 a month. The upseller told me you may aswell get the free gas then cancel the subscription, made sense then. The free gas was not at all what I ASSUMED, the ordeal is to buy gas & submit receipts & they would send you vouchers but not for $100.00 & you would have to keep submitting.I got the upsellers name so I called him back.Still no product but my newsletter came like in a day or two.I told upseller that I hope the product is better than your free gas offer & he let on he didn't know how the gas ofeer worked.More to Come, I hope they not capitalizing on people desperate for relief. Upseller even said my wife been taking it for years.Again, more info will come to this site as I learn more.

The company has a website now: Arthrid.com.
They list the ingredients. They are not as reported in this discussion list above. The truly unique ingredient is the type of glucosamine the product uses. Purportedly, it is absorbed at 80 to 85% versus about 20 to 30% for other glucosamine sources. Also, the inclusion of Vitamin D3 is part of the efficacy of the product. Yes, it is a lot of hype, however, the sales rep I spoke to was taking the product and seemed to give me an honest assessment of the improvement of his condition. It is still a risk however, I bought the buy 5, get 7 free which lowered the price to about 25 dollars per bottle with shipping included. I still get the 30 day money back guarantee. I am also guaranteed this per bottle price for the duration of my business with them. I will try to post back here about the true effects I receive. It will take a while for the product to arrive (3-4 weeks). Then it takes a while to really give results. Wish me and my wife luck! We are trying to avoid surgery for her.

Thanks for the details Henri. I'd really like to know how it ends up working for your wife. Wishing her the best with this, and please keep us all posted with the experience!

To Henri, I will be watching here to see the results you post and I will post mine as well. Hope your wife can avoid surgery. Wouldn't it be great if this works for us.

A number of his comments were inaccurate. Cartilage doesn't break itself down - it wears as it rubs against the surface of the bone. Is that the same thing-not to me. Sounds like he is reading from a script.

Henri, thanks for sharing, I've been watching this with some interest. The higher content of glucosamine makes sense. I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis in 1999, have had LOTS of cortisone in both knees to keep the swelling down and mobility. When I began taking a pharmaceutical brand of glucosamine which is 100% and the best quality money can buy, I'm so so much better! I even bought a townhouse with stairs 3 years ago, and love those stairs keeping my legs strong.

Mike,
He was referring to rheumatoid arthritis. He was talking about that disease causing the body to attack the cartilage. Here is an excerpt of what is said about it:

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that causes chronic inflammation of the joints. Rheumatoid arthritis can also cause inflammation of the tissue around the joints, as well as in other organs in the body. Autoimmune diseases are illnesses that occur when the body's tissues are mistakenly attacked by their own immune system.

If you want to read more about it, here is the link I copied from:

Henri, Thanks for bringing good information to the discussion. Can't wait for mine to arrive so I can get started and hopefully silence the negativity.

I just watched the infomercial for ArthriD. My husband has severe pain in his shoulders, hips, feet and hands. Looking for something to give him some relief. We both have taken yucca root ( which is in the product) with good results for tendinitis. Will be watching this site for anyone who has tried the product and what their results have been. The price of $55 dollars seems a bit pricey and I have purchased herbal products for years. Making it unavailable anywhere but through the 1-800 number seems a little fishy.

I've been purchasing pharmaceutical grade glucosamine in the US for years for less than $25 per bottle of 120 tablets. Supplements are manufactured to food grade, which means in the US the tablets need only be 10% of the label ingredients state. If you want the details on 100% purity, email me.

Carla, thank you for your posts about 100% pharmaceutical glucosamine. I wonder what the percentage of absorption is purported to be for that strength of glucosamine? I found very good information by Googling absorpsion rate for 100% pure glucosamine. I also know that glucosamine works in conjunction with other nutritional substances in order to be more effective in rebuilding cartilage (i.e. chondroitin, etc). So, what else are you supplementing with. Sources of glucosamine do make a difference in the ability of the body to absorb and use it. Hence, my interest in Arthri-D. Arthri-D claims to have glucosamine derived from a living source rather than being synthesized.

The ingredients included for effective bioavailability are Vitamin C, Manganese, silicon and turmeric root. It is a class company that is publicly traded and doing business since 1992. I notice my email was removed from my post - so how to connect? I use this combined with the Multi vitamins they have which are outstanding. All manufactured in house according to GMP's for pharmaceutical products. = 100% correct to the label statement.
