Ambien 5mg

I've had insomnia for 13 years. Very sleep depraved and extreme fatigue/depression. I sometimes take 5mg of generic ambien BUT I experience HORRID NIGHTMARES! Very realistic and life threatening situations of myself and/or one of my pets! It is a terrible feeling but I do get 6+hours of sleep. Wish there was something without the side effect of nightmares (always occurring in the early morning hours).

What else have you tried for your insomnia?

After having similar problems with most such medications, including daytime hangover like effects, I actually finally found a solution by taking Benadryl with a Tylenol tablet at night, though there are generic/store brands available, plus combination products that contain both.

You'd need to get your doctor's approval first, but it may help.
