A333 White Pill

Updated

I just started taking the A333 pill. It is supposed to be a generic substitute for oxycodone 10/325. I was taking the Watson 932 generic substitute but was switched to the A333 pill because of drug store supply. I have noticed the A333 does not work nearly as well as the Watson 932 for me.

Hello, Will! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.

How long have you been taking this one?

There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, but they are usual minuscule and normally your body will adjust after a short period of time.

I have been taking Percocet for a long time. Up until about 4 months ago I would get this strong burst of energy along with killing the pain. It would last about 4hrs. I would get them from Meijers Pharmacy. Then they switched manufacturer and now all I want to do is sit in a chair or lay down. I feel so blah. So I decided to change Pharmacies, I now go to CVS, which carry the A333 by Activus. They are doing the same thing. (Keeping me down). I can't get anything done, I need to go back to my original pill. I promise you I don't abuse this product, I take them exactly as prescribed. Can you make a recommendation on what brand name to look for or what pharmacy to go to, and has anyone else talked about this. I've talked to the Pharmacists at both places and they say that's what Percocet is suppose to do, make you want to sleep. Sorry, I need to get things done.

Jerry, I feel the exact same way! Last month CVS gave me an oblong pill with 10/325 on it. They did not have Watson. I knew these did not work like the round Watsons! So this month upon filling my script, I had them check to see if they had the round Watson or the oblong ones. Sadley, they only had the oblong pills. I was told the manufacturer had stopped supplying them (round.) I was going to try Walgreens instead. However, my pharmacy tech did some research for me and told me that Watson is now Actis and provide only the oblong pill. I was devastated because for the whole month of December I felt so depressed and had no "get up and go!" The round Watson's never did that to me! The pharmacy tech showed me two types available. One was now the Watson replaced Actis thai is oblong with an a333 on one side and blank on the other. The othe pill was oblong as well...a bit larger in size, and was the one I was given that made me down. So hesitantly, I opted for the Actis a333, and they stink!!!!!! Same situation! Feel horrible, no desire to do anything and constipated! I dont know why Watson had to change the round one because they worked, and these DO NOT!

I have been taking the Watson 932 for a long time and at least they would help with the pain. Now all I can get is the a333 which doesn't even touch my pain. I have taken them for almost a month and I am basically stuck in bed. Not because I am tired, but because I can barely stand or sit. With the Watson I would at least get relief for about 4 hours. I get no relief from these. Why do these manufacturers do this to people who suffer from chronic pain and would like at least to be able to have somewhat of a quality of life? Is there any other brand and what drugstore would carry something different that would help? Believe me I hate that I have to take medicine at all.

I know that walgreens usually carry the Watson 932s at least in my area. That's about the only place I know you can get em. The price may be diffdrent...walgreens may be higher. Also sometimes you can get lucky an call family owned pharmacies and find em.

WOW, thank you everyone. At first I thought it was all in my head, but I see now all of you are dealing with the same thing. You've all been very helpful, thank you for sharing. This sucks. Maybe we should put Actis on notice and blast them to hell and back. That's if we can get out of bed or off the couch to do so. If I can find out where Watson's are being distributed I will share. Thank you all again for sharing. Sorry you're in pain.

I was informed by my Dr. That even though the A333 are 10 mg. It only has 7mg of the active percocet ingredient. Of course pharmacys neglect to tell us that. So my Dr. put me back on regular small round 5 mg's without the tylenol. I just have to take 2 at a time now to get the 10mg's. It sucks that the drug companys switch the active ingtedients on us, but still charge the same.

I agree with posts about how different the A333 is from the discontinued Watson generic. It gave minimal pain relief, made me moody then depressed! And whatever Pharmacist said Percocet is suppose to make you sleep should be fired. Sleeping meds? Are they not to make you sleep? Pain med should help with pain….and Watson's new Parent Company, Activis, who makes the A333 should not be allowed to deceive the American Citizen as it is doing.
Unfortunately, this is the way medicine is today. Its all about the profit, not the quality. or ethic right thing to do. keep me posted pls

Hello again, this is Jerry. I posted about the switch of my Percocet Watson to Activus in Jan. Since my pharmacy (CVS) changed to A333 it has now decided to change again. WTF. Now they have given me a yellow oblong pill with 4829 stamped on it. Made by Tylox. ( I think 4829 stands for you got suckered again.) Let me tell you people, this one is far worse than the activus, WARNING: stay clear. Seriously, these are bad. I take 2 at a time and lucky to get 2hrs of pain relief. I might be able to understand if I were going to a small town drugstore and they were switching once a year to help save their customers money but no, Its CVS that's doing this. By the way, I called Watson, I was told they merged with Activus and someone at the top decided to discontinue the Watson 935 and go with the 333. Obviously they've never taken a Percocet for any length of time. I told them they better go on this website and find out what people are saying before making changes. And if its cheaper to make the other ones then how come the savings aren't being handed down to us. At least for our pain and suffering for having to put up with their weak products. Sorry for all the babbling.

I have a question for all of those that are taking the 10 mg oxycodone. It is nearly impossible for me to find a doctor to write that script. I have been to four pain management clinics and for outside doctors and no one, and I mean no one will write me a script for the 10's. I know they are cracking down because it's a very serious street problem here in Ohio but is anybody else having issues getting these pills. I know there is a serious street problem and they are having problems with doctors just handed night out pills like candy, but for the ones that actually need it like myself, I just can't seem to find a doctor that's willing to write me a script

I agree with everthing anyone says about these pain killers. the a333 will also make u itch,I also use cvs now they gave me yellow 1 side with a V on it other side number 4829 at first seems like they don't work but after ur system get use to them there ok.but i agree that u want that euphoric feeling when u 1st take them.I fine that u get that feeling from 5 over 325 but it doesn't last for long.face it the generic crap is garbage.

I am so happy I am not losing my mind. I got my rx filled Oct. 27 and it is the a333 version. I didn't even notice. Just kept taking as I normally do. I take 3 a day normally. I have had 2 back surgeries and recently had hardware removed and a dorsal column stimulater inserted. Pain stimulater helps when I lay down but to walk or sit up in chair I have to take the Percocet. I have been cranky, moody, depressed, itchy and hurting all over. I couldn't figure out why until I read this post and went and looked at my pain pills. This really sucks! I was starting to feel better last month and even walk a little more in the house. Now I am back to almost no mobility and in pain all the time.

I have been getting the U17's and they do absolutely nothing for pain amd literally just make me sit and that is all. If my pain is at a 10 & I take my Percocet 10/325~ my pain level may drop to a 9- 9 1/2. It is truly sad for us who are needing the pain relief desperately and also not to just lay around. The Percocet I was receiving before getting the U17's were entirely different! We all know that we do build a tolerance, that is Reality; however we woukd still get the pain release that IS supposed to come from taking your Percocet. You should never have to "double" up nust to hope to get that pain relief. It's truly sad! I feel for all of you that is in the situation & who do pay out of pocket for your prescriptions! It is a epidemic & I do believe this is why "they" are changing the manufacturers! However, if you have chronic pain and it is proven, however, this needs to be addressed! My opinion...

I know they are really watching if you attempt to go to one doctor after another. They all have a "report system" that they can "flag" patients that they feel are "Doctor shopping" of " pharmacy shopping". This system is exclusive to physicians and hospitals and I only know of it as I am a supervisor at a hospital for 23 years and the changes are unbelievable. We are trained to look for patients who are hinting to the dr that they want a specific type of pain med. the Drs look for people who say they are in a pain scale of 10 yet they are laughing or acting fine during exam. We are trained that a pain scale of 10 is someone who displays crying and terrible discomfort and a history of a serious injury event. In fact, my state has now almost completely stopped prescribing percocet, and Vicodin if you come into the e.r. and say " I need pain meds because my back really hurts" or my chest hurts bad from coughing so much". In the past, the Drs would readily prescribed Vicodin or Percocet to people who complained of back pain or bad cough. I have seen in the past patients with bronchitis get Vicodin rx and cough meds and an antibiotic. But now they do not do that. Now they are writing naprosin/naproxen for these types of ailments. It's going to continue to get harder to get pain meds from the e.r and primary physicians and/or urgent care clinics. Drs across the country have been advised that Class III narcotics should be the last resort for pain. And let me tell you, I have witnessed a lot of patients pissed off and yelling at the doctors when they would not prescribe a narcotic pain killer. People are definitely not happy with the recent changes and it's going to get even more strict. The only time I have seen patients get the pain meds they "want" is when they would go to an orthopedic physician or a specialist. But in a recent meeting with the "big wigs" that's going to change as well.

I'm suffering from a horrible toothache and I took 2 of the A33, but I had no relief, so I took another 1 maybe 30 minutes later. Still in pain, and if anyone has ever experienced the excruciating pain of a toothache then you know why I needed this pill to work. But anyway, I found myself taking 3 more an hour later. That was 5 of these BS pills in an hour and a half. Just to have to get up and go to the store and buy some Tylenol. Wwaallaah! Pain ceased within 10 minutes! Wth???
