I prefer subutex over suboxone? How were you able to let your pharmacy give you subutex instead?

i dont want to change medicine. they have been changing suboxone for months and i have not found a replacement for the films effectiveness at all. there are 4 different companies trying these out. none have even come close to the films at all.

I was also switched from suboxone to zubsolv. My intention was to start this new medication with an open mind even though i had only heard negative accounts. Within 2 hours i felt as though i was in full withdrawl. Leg cramps, back ache, stomach cramps, severe headace and my skin was cold andclammy and felt bruised. After continued use my symtoms remained the same. Now i am forced either to remain sick or find suboxone off the street. I realize that everyone will have a different response to this medicine but this is mine. It is in no way mental, frankly i am offended by the people who insinuate that it is. After my horrible first dayexperience i looked up the side effects to this medicine. Everything that people say they are experiencing is on that list. These r symptoms that people had while being observed by medical proffesionals. So i would say people r most definately going thru these things. So why judge. Im glad it works for some of u. As for the others, my heart goes out to u. Best of luck.

If u notice the subsolv has less naloxene also and when you take Suboxone 8/2 the naloxene eats up some of your bupe. So when the 5.7-1.4 zubsolv metabolizes then u are getting exactly the same amount of bupe as u would after taking 8/2 subs. I was educated by a representative of Suboxone and subsolv and chemical composition; u all get the same amount

If you are on zubsolv because of opiates you are probably now noticing the pain you had that you did not notice before these could be pains you had all along and just never noticed because of the opiates

Amy, all I did was let my Dr know my situation and that sebutex worked better, didn't have the side effects and was affordable...being a trustworthy patient, I had no problem. Now that I've moved, it's a whole new set of problems...best of luck to everyone! I'd never go back to that anymore than I'd go back to using!

I was taking 3 - 8/2 films per day. 10 days ago i was switched to subsolv 5.7/1.4mg. I found that it does not last near as long. It seems to make me feel more tired and it takes atlest 4 to 4.5 subsolv tablets to get the same effect of 3 suboxon 8/2mg strips. They make me tired more than the strips. I am forced to take the Subsolv because I cant afford to pay $300-$325 every two weeks for the suboxon strips. My insurance is supposed to pay for the doctor visit but my doctor will not fill out the paper work and file the claim. So further more i am paying my doctor $200 every 2 weeks $400 per month as it is. There is no way i can afford to pay for the suboxone also. That would be roughly $1,100 per month. I go back to the doctor friday the only way i will be able to stay on the subsolv is by getting my doctor to up my dose from 3 subsolv per day to 4 subsolv per day. If not i will be forced to buy from the streets 3 or 4 days every 2 weeks until i go back to see the doctor to get a refill. I am in a rock in a hard place myself.

My insurance just stopped covering suboxone & I was switched to zubsolv. I'm physically feeling the same as you, also I'm having stomach cramps, headache &cold sweats. I'm hoping this will dissipate with time.i hope you get relief & continue your sobriety. This change is making it hard!!! Good luck & I hope it works out well for you.

I know we all have different story's but I will not be on the Zubsolv for very long. It's just replacing an opiate with another very very strong addictive medication. I told my doc I want to dose down ASAP. Yes they have gotten me off the Methadone,Oxycodone and Xanax that I was taking for 10yrs but the thought of me being dependant on Zubsolv makes me nauseous. I just want to be completely free of any medication whatsoever.

Thanks to Zubsolv, I feel better. My Doc prescribed me 180 Percocet 10's and 60 Roxicodone (for breakthru pain) 30mg.,
5 yrs ago after a major boating accident where I broke my collarbone, shoulder, and every rib-bone. Obviously I got very addicted. For my Family I decided to come off it all as I was running out a week early the last year.Refused to buy anything off the street for the outrageous prices. So I laid there so sick, avoiding my Family.Went to hospital 3 different times thinking I had an illness n not realizing "pills-sick." Anyways, that got to be too much to deal with. They called my Dr at my request n she prescribed me Suboxone n it worked. But for Ins reasons I had to switch to Zubsolv. I Love it!!! For me, its equaled to Subs but saves me bput $650/month. I'm down to 1 a day n still feel "good" effects from it. if u have a choice, try Zubsolv over Suboxone.

FDA approves two higher dosage strengths of Orexo's ZUBSOLV

The new dosage strengths are 8.6 mg/2.1 mg and 11.4 mg/2.9 mg buprenorphine/naloxone CIII sublingual tablets. The 8.6 mg/2.1 mg dosage strength is expected to be launched early 2015 and the 11.4 mg/2.9 mg strength later in 2015.

The new dosage strengths complement the existing strengths of 5.7 mg/1.4 mg and 1.4 mg/0.36 mg tablets and enable patients to receive their optimal dose in one tablet.

The new strengths are made with the advanced, proprietary sublingual tablet formulation in ZUBSOLV providing higher bioavailability, a fast dissolve time, small tablet size, and menthol flavor

I'm seriously about to say F this and go back to pills. My insurance are s.o.b.s that just gave me a run around, and I'm greater than pissed. 1. Suboxone films not covered, k, try the pill please. 2. DENIED. 3. Call doc, I ask to try Z... WHATEVER IT'S CALLED... TAKE A WILD GUESS... GO AHEAD... NEEDS APPROVAL!!!!

Wanna know how much? A LOT! Try $330! Are they out of their minds? I can find good medication cheaper, but so far no relapse, sry, been 3 days of pure hell, I finally ask for help, get approved, and this dumb insurance games deny my right to medicine prescribed for me

There should be a zubsolv savings card for up to $225 off so it makes my script of 90 free each month. Ask your dr for it or print the card online.

I completely 100% agree!!! Unfortunately my insurance just cut me off the suboxone and will only cover the Zubsolv :(. Does your insurance cover Suboxone? If so, what insurance do you have? Thanks everyone for your input, cuz I thought it was in my head that it wAs NOT working. And I actually prefer the taste of the suboxone. Good luck all!
