Zubsolv works just as good as the other. I had to switch because of my insurance and so far I can't tell the difference. If you don't have a script go to a doc that specializes in this type of addiction and they will give you one that day no waiting.

It is definatly worth a try but I do recommend you go on them for a month before you make your decision, I've alsobeen a addict since iI was 17 now I'm 33 and been on sub for two years, the best two years of my life and I had a2000 dollar every two week habit and that was with insurance when I switched

Doesn't insurance cover the cost? I pay $35 a month for 60.

Been on Zusolv now for about a week, and honestly.. I have tried very hard to tell myself over and over that it's the same thing.. but it's not.. It's much weaker and I find it very difficult to function at work on Zubsolv. I really can't understand why they would choose to take the Suboxone Film off of UHC's coverage.. The Letter they sent said that if for any reason your Dr Felt that Zubsolv wasn't reacting well with you..they could appeal to the Insurance for coverage of what I had been on...But I havn't read of anyone successfully appealing to UHC despite what their letter stated.. If Zubsolv was in fact the same thing it would be 8/2mg and not 5.7/1.4 but I'm sure they can't do that because of Suboxone having a great product that works and has provided me with Stability and a life with my wife and children that I could of only dreamed was a distant possibility. I'm going to give Zubsolv a full 1-2 weeks to give them the benefit of the doubt.. and who knows..But the idea of the bio-availability and releasing into the blood stream with menthol power vs $$$..
It's a business and they deserve their piece of the pie but not like this..not when it's going to cause people terrible discomfort, others will find it to be a miracle.. Having a choice and allowing the individual Dr to decide what is best for the patient is what is always right.

My insurance made me switch from Subs to Zubsolv, and I honestly do not feel any difference. Its a miracle medicine, and so grateful to have it now.

It is pretty weird that most of you guys are saying , you had to switch to zubsolv because your insurance wont cover suboxone anymore , i even seen someones UHC insurance wont cover the suboxone either. I find that strange because i got out of inpatient rehabilitation on july 7th and they left me with a prescribtion of suboxone. When i got home i had a letter from my insurance stating that, they are covering me for suboxone until october 7th . Now about a half a month after july 7th i went to a doctor to renew my suboxone prescribtion and asked him to write me a script for zubsolv and he did. When i went to fill it a few days ago they needed pre-authorization and ive been waiting almost 5 days for an answer so i hada go back to return the prescription and get a new one for suboxone because my UHC insurance is saying suboxone is the preferred drug. I still have a script for 7 zubsolv from the first doc i went to that i can no longer see because hes 2hours away . Im still waiting on an answer but i still dont know if its worth getting or if i should just stay on suboxone. Everyone has been hyping up zubsolv and on here everyone is putting it down . Also are u able to fill a prescribtion of Zubsolv and Suboxone in the same month ? And if so will your insurance cover it?

I'm on UHC too, they did cover Suboxone for the 4 yrs I've been taking it, however....my doctor writes the script out for pain. I do use it for pain, not a rehab issue but even still, as of July 1st, 2014 Suboxone is no longer covered or the generic attached to it. They consider this a luxury drug, because it's not approved by the FDA or the DEA in America for pain like it is in other Countries, plus, the makers of Suboxone have an outrageous price attached to this drug since they have the monopoly. ObamaCare is making a statement, trying to stop these pharmasudical companies from ripping the consumers off. They are the only ones making out in all of this. Meanwhile, enter Zubsolv.....brand new, same thing, different taste (thank goodness) and the dosage is a bit odd, but if you have a good doctor, like mine, that took the time to figure this out, I'm whole again with 90 pills a month for $30. So, this Zubsolv couldn't of come at a better time and you wait and see, Suboxone will drop their prices and we can have a choice of both medications. A win win for everyone. I can't wait for this drug to be approved for pain in this Country. I can't understand why the FDA would want people getting hooked on opiates in the first place when this medication can be used for pain. It doesn't make sense, and if it doesn't make sense, usually it's not true, so what does that tell you about our system. I say good on ObamaCare for calling this to everyone's attention.

I switched from 2 Suboxone film 8/2 a day and am now on 2 Zubsolv a day and it's been 9 days and I'm literally dying of exhaustion. I almost passed out at work yesterday and had to take off work today to sleep the entire day. They looked at me like I was on drugs at work and I was so embarrassed. I was on Suboxone film for 3 years and it saved my life. My relationship with my family and career have done a 360 and all of the sudden they switch me to a new med and my world is crashing down around me. If things don't turn around, I am very afraid I will make bad choices again. For the past 3 years I woke up every day and knew 100% that I wouldn't use that day. I barely drag myself out of bed today and am uncertain if I'll make it through sober.

Listen to this and tell me if you think zubsolv will work for me I take 3 8/2 and before subtex was taking 3 8mg per day more than triple the dose prescribed and felt great need less to say the pharmacist caught on and oh well I'm an old school junkie that used pain killers to beat meth I have my order in for the zubsolv be here Monday and will let
Y'all know cause I know it's not in my head I have worked 12 Hrs a day 7 days a week thru my addiction I never missed a day of work detox or not
I should be dead seeing a script of 90 perc 10 would last 2 days I have been clean from pain killers a year with subs why must they change what works money if someone on here says
2 5.7 will equal 3 8/2 will that your tail
I'm sitting on mine

Wow, I'm really surprised at some of these comments, if you think that the new Zubsolv is not right, well that's because the dosage is NOT the same as Suboxone. You need to speak with your Doctors, seriously, this is such a new drug that most doctors are not taking the time to figure out the equal parts. Zubsolv is less with both the 5.7 and the 1.4 then the Suboxone. Some people think they need the full amount of Suboxone when really they do not. It's stronger than most people think. So in conclusion, I had to switch because of insurance issues, but glad I did. I've scaled down on dosage, it takes better and much cheaper. The main thing, please, make your Doctor go over this dosage thing, and figure out how much YOU NEED to be whole again. It seems that most that have switched are doing fine with this medication. You can still stay on the Suboxone, but you'll pay dearly for it, that should stop after the makers of Suboxone receive this slap in the face from insurers.

I am currently on subutex. It is not illegal. My old suboxone dr tried to tell me stories about subutex. I think they get more money for prescribing suboxone over subutex. Either way, I used to get the headaches from suboxone as well. It was the naloxone in it. I also broke out in a rash. Subutex is a dream medication for me. Much cleaner feeling. I can't even tell I'm taking anything.

The ones of you that say you love it give it couple days. I thought it was great. Was switched from 24 mg...3 strips a day to three zubsolv a day. First three days i felt fine and loved the way the pill disolved...well, must have just took three days of my body being striped from the film....because the last two I have not only been sick, I have also been experiencing cravings..and mind you I have not had any for the last year of being on the strips..so wait couple of days, and come back and report how you feel then...I hope it still works for yall but it sure dont for me!!

Sorry for the confusion. I am on disability and I am currently trying to figure out what plans I should choose as I am being offered Medicare. I am not sure if these plans they offer. Plan A, B, C and D. One should be for prescriptions. My main question was that people on Medicare, do they get a decent break on the cost of OxyContin?

Exactly how I felt to a tee. Cravings I hadn't had in years, sweaty and all that. But it has been a little over 2 weeks now and I've learned a few things. A: Split your dose to take half in the morning and half about 5 to 6 hours later. B: Fight through it, it will get better slowly. C: You can't be as lax about taking it. Make sure you don't drink coffee or soda or anything but water about a half hour before taking it. Don't even smoke a cigarette if you smoke. Or vapor if you vape. Then swish some water in your mouth before you take the Zobsolv just to moisten it. Spit the water out, sit down, put the pill under your tongue, tilt your head forward a little bit and let it dissolve for 15 minutes. Don't talk or swallow or lift your tongue. Get everything you can out of it. I am sure you've heard that before but it does help. (That's all the advice I got but it does get better over a few weeks. I admit that I am still not completely adjusted but I am feeling WAY better than I was in the first week and a half. I almost lost my job in the first week because people thought I was on something. I just looked like crap from the adjustment process. I had to tell my boss I was switching antidepressants and it wasn't going well. Hang in there. It gets greater later, as they say.)

Thank you...best advice I have heard...just wondering though , how does smoking or drinking effect it ? I pass medication for a living and I was taught that sublingual does not metabolize in the stomach, so this is kind of confusing for me

I was wondering if anyone with uhc that was prescribed 3-8mg suboxone a day has won an appeal to get 3 zubsolv per day. I was recently switched due to ins., and with them only covering 60/mo, after 3yrs of being sober and going through hell with an accident at work and fighting ptsd, I'm scared to death that they won't cover the other 30 that there's no way I can afford to pay for!

Ruth: I don't understand why you are asking a question about Oxy on this thread. This thread is for the people who are taking Suboxone for pain relief or rehab from the use of opiate dependency in their past. If you have a question in regards to the new Zubsolv, which has replaced Suboxone for most of us, due to insurance issues, then I'm sure someone can answer your question. Thanks
