I have been on suboxone/subutex going on 4 years now and it has literally saved my life! Today I went to a new doctor and she introduced the zubsolv to me. I was a little reluctant at first but she gave me one in the office and it seemed to work fine. Of course all I have been taking in the past 6 months is half of a 8/2 suboxone strip, so that's only 4/1 mg of suboxone. So actually 5.7mg seemed fine to me pscychologically. Then I came home and began reading threads comparing suboxone with the zubsolv and people are saying it doesn't last as long or they feel as if they need more, etc.. I really hope just one of these works for me a day. Or even a half because it won't make sense to me to have to go from 4 mg of suboxone a day to (2) 5.7 zubsolv a day!??! Then my next concern is cost. If they are supposed to work "exactly" the same then I will choose the one that is cheaper on my pocket book! And if they are "exactly" the same then why make another drug? And are the patients (us) just the guinea pigs? We'll it seems like I'm just rambling looking back, but my question is I have tn care and they will only pay for 1 strip a day for a year, but I can pay for the remainder. I got 15 zubsolv free today thru my doctor so not real sure how much they are? Any one know or any suggestions?

It's either very different or I have been given placebo .first change to zub from sub's went some what ok, second prescription total change of personalty zero emotion not depressed just no highs or lows like a zombie .No energy just blah, sleeping a lot not like me at all don't get out because I do not feel good..major muscle and bone cramps for months. lost all creativity .I don't even want to cook. I am back to taking handfuls of Ibuprofen. I have arthritis and damaged disks in my back are covered with it ,shoulders and hands also. Something has changed very much for me.. Been to regular doc 2x countless blood work. He wants me to see specialist for Arthritis. My insurance will not pay for sub's just zub. This is not the same for me at all. What could it be? Hormones would have showed in blood work.

I am currently on suboxone but my insurance is only gonna cover it for one more month. I'm scared to death. Then I heard of this stuff. I live paycheck to paycheck so I will not be able to afford the subs any longer. Please help!

I've been using Suboxone 8/2mg for two years and my insurance also sent me the letter indicating that they will not cover my strips anymore. I received my first Zubsolv prescription today and I can say that so far I feel no ill effects. I can tell that it's going to take a little while to wrap my brain around the fact that the pills are so much smaller (size) and that they dissolve pretty quickly, but honestly I feel just as well as I did on the Suboxone strips and the Zubsolv tastes WAY better. Best of luck to you!

KB1978, I also get Zubsolv 5.7 mg twice a day and I have BCBS insurance. My insurance covers Zubsolv but I have a $40 copay. I found a copay assistance card on the manufacturer's site (Zubsolv.com) for up to $75 off each refill which covers my $40 copay. Check it out and best of luck to you!!

Hate to even ask this but how is that possible ? If a 1.4 mg will effect me the same as an 8 mg, what is the purpose of even making an 8 mg or a 12 mg ? I know the mind has a great deal to do with how i perceive the meds are working ,Dr just changed me from 8mg suboxone 2.5 strips a day to zubsolv 5.7 mg pills 2.5 a day ,,I find that the subspace doesn't last as long

I just recently (last week) was prescribed Zubsolv 5.7/1.4mg due to my insurance stopping coverage of suboxone. I have been on Suboxone 8mg/2mg for the past 4 years. My first dose of Zubsolv was 2 days ago. A few hours afterwards I began to feel sick. I felt very confused , tired and headache. I felt as if I was in withdraw with a combo of being overmedicated. I had to switch back to Suboxone for now as I have a wedding coming up and refuse to feel sick. I dont know if it's just me or what but I don't understand why I felt that way after taking Zubsolv. I tried it twice more thinking maybe it was a coincidence but the same thing happened again. Not sure what I'm going to do come July 1st when my insurance stops paying for Suboxone. Anyone else have this experience with Zubsolv???

I am with you on this 100%. Same exact scenario for me. I don't understand how an insurance company can do this ESPECIALLY when there is no freaking cost difference.

Was on suboxone for 3 years,,2 / mg strips a day,I did great I was a longtime user of coke, tabs, list goes in and on,,started using when I was 12,I am 39 now,,the Dr changed me to 2 zubsolve a day been in them a month now, they don't last as long ,I had mild withdraw at first, still have no energy ,cravings are out of site, but they pass I would prefer to be back on suboxone ,it just seemed to work better for me,I am taking more of the zub than I should be daily,I can't decide if I should give it more time or try and switch back to subs, and I think I have had every side effect listed with the zubsolv, lol, there was alot of days when I was on the suboxone I would take a strip and a half all day and be good so it's feels like I've took a step back because I am taking more of the zubsolv,I would rather have 1 suboxone a day than 3 zubsolv a day,but I think it's different for everyone my friend takes the zubs and lives them

I'm telling you right now that the same thing happened to me! I've switched back and it's taken a full month but I do feel much better. I got so depressed on the Zubs or like you said, no energy. It was horrible.

The government (controllers of humanity) don't give a flying **** about the lives of anyone but their own and possibly thier offspring, therefore yet another law is being forced upon the huge amount of sucessfully recovering pain med victoms and now as of july 1st2014 noone can get more than 2suboxones per day and that only6months.its obvioisly proof of pharmasudical companies throwing money into our goverments(controllers) pockets.THEY CAN'T STAND TO SEE SO MANY OF US EASILY END OUR DOWNWARD SPIRAL OF THE PHYSICAL ADICTING HELL THAT THIER DAMN PILLS HAS PUT ON US.WITH ONLY 2 A DAY THEY KNOW THAT THE POLICE,THE DRUG COMPANIES AND ALL INVOLVED ARE LOSING ALL OUR MONEY DUE TO THE GREAT SUCESS OF SUBOXINE.THEY WANT US TO EITHER GIVE THEM OUR MONEY OR DIE,suffer,or whatever it takes to get us all strung out again and they don't want us to have A WAY OUT. IN TENNESSEE KELSY IS THE EVIL ONE THAT HAS DONE THIS. IN TENESSEE U CAN GET 5 ROXYS AND 3 OPANA A DAY BUT,ONLY 2 SUBOXONES. THAT'S FREAKING NAZI LIKE SATANIST COMMINIST OVERPOWERED BULLS***. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED. NEXT THEY'LL CONTROL EVERYTHING DOWN TO THE MUSIC AND CLOTHING WE WEAR AND ENJOY. "THE CONSTITUTION IS COMPLETLY GONE. NOW A H ADDICT HAS NO SAFE WAY BESIDES HOSPITALIZED24/7 CARE DURING DT,S. THEY'VE DONE FORCED H TO HAVE A COMEBACK WITH ALL THIS PILL CONTROL. NOW THEY WANT TO TAKE AWAY OUR SAFE WAY OFF ALL THIS STUFF. AMERICA IS GONE. FREEDOM IS DETERIORATING DAILY. GET TO ANOTHER COUNTRY WHILE U CAN. "I DEFECT" FROM AMERICA

Agree 100%. H is more popular, stronger and cheaper than anything legal on the market and my board certified internist can't write me a prescription for pain meds. I need to taper off and personally I HATE suboxone, but try to get hydro or oxycodone. It's a nightmare. Pain doc gave me 45 to "taper" me off what was 20 a DAY. How's that going to happen in 2 weeks?? WITHDRAWAL.

If you actually read the packaging, you would see that it is using the suboxone tablets, not suboxone film as its quicker bioavailability claim. This is directly off of the Zubsolv box:

"Because of its advanced formulation, more of the medication in ZUBSOLV tablets gets into the bloodstream than with Suboxone TABLETS (not film.) This means a lower dose of ZUBSOLV is similar to a higher dose of Suboxone TABLETS."

So when you try to tell people it's all in their head, if they were formerly on films as opposed to tablets, the bioavailability (according to ZUBSOLV) themselves is the same. Meaning that it takes the same time for ZUBSOLV table to dissolve as a Suboxone Film (not tablet,) meaning that if your on 8mg of suboxone film, you are not getting the same dosage!

Just like a lot of you my insurance put the hammer on my subs also and switching to these new Zubsolv tablets. I'm currently taking 2.5 8mg films a day and wondering if any of you need to wait a period of time between the medications? Has anybody else gone from this dosage from films to these new pills yet?

I agree munmizz..the ingredients are the same exact thing..kinda like tylenol and equate. Same active ingredients. I have taken 8mg suboxone for 3 years now. Just started taking Zubsolv. Cant tell anymore difference than tylenol and equate (same acetomenophine).
