Buprenorphine pills are the cheapest. About $6 each. I paid around $7 each for sub film. 8-2 mg. The more you get at once the cheaper the price. Shop around cuz every pharmacy is different.

There is a lot of misinformation on this forum. Most of your complaints are all INYOUR HEAD. If you convince yourself of something eventually it can indeed effect you physically,it's all psychological. Suboxone tablets and suboxone films if taken properly offer the same exact result. Since they take so long to dissolve When you take a suboxone tablet or film and swallow saliva periodically you are significantly lowering the dose.(which many people do). The drug is designed to dissolve into your saliva and is absorbed by the capillaries in your mouth. Because zubsolv dissolves quicker and is designed for quicker absorption there is less swallowing, and in turn you absorb more of the drug. To make it simple, when you take 8mg of buprenorphine your probably only absorbing about 5mg of it. When you take zubsolv 5.7mg tablet your absorbing almost all of the dose. It all evens out. Do what works for you and take whatever keeps you clean. If you put it in your head that the suboxone films are better than tablets and suboxone is better than zubsolv your going to trick your mind and body into actually feeling better or worse when switching to another form of the drug. Hope this helps

Many people on here are speaking as addicts who do not want to recover. They want to use these drugs forever as a crutch. My zubsolv dose was dropped when I switched from suboxone because it IS way stronger and works immediately. Many people on here are obviously not changing their lifestyles and thinking. There is much more to recovery than maintenance. If you think I am talking about you, I probably am. I am almost off all medications with no side effects or withdrawals. If you really want it, it is in your hands. If you don't want it, stop b****ing and go see a different doctor who will supply you with more drugs to sustain your misery.

I agree. As addicts we have no right to judge one another. Myself, I find me still being hard on me because I need this med. to stay out of the streets and live normal.

D: I have had two different Addiction Specialists tell me that I may need to be on an ORT for the rest of my life. I have been an opioid addict for over 30 years, starting when I was a teenager, and I just don't do well I go off of everything. It must be nice to be able to lower your dosages of opioids and feel NO WITHDRAWALS. Because the rest of Planet Earth DOES feel withdrawals when we do that. So you are basically a medical miracle...first person on earth to have no withdrawals from stopping opioids. So if you want to think I am using ORT as a "crutch", then so be it. I will go ahead and heed the advice of my doctors, rather than some judgmental stranger on a random forum.

I do believe zubsolv 5.7 is equivalent to the 8mg strip 100%. I can honestly say that i have not met one person yet (excluding an online forum) that would disagree that the zubs have a higher bio availability. For 100% of my encounters, the person felt the effects almost immediately and they were more intense. That was not necessarily the desired outcome, but unless you're the 1 or 2% of people that like to disagree with or contest facts stated by multi billion dollar drug manufacturers and their scientists AND their studies, the zubsolv does in fact work more quickly and has a higher bio availability than strips..hands...down. 5.7mg zub is just as effective as an 8 mg strip...and the 11.4 zub is, in fact....like two 8mg strips. ;)

I am addicted to subutex and I want to get off this cycle I've had enough. What's your best advice toward trying a real detox plan that will not have such lasting effects.

I was on Zubsolv for a while do to my insurance making me and I'm telling you MY experience there is NO WAY to me Zubsolv 5.7is even close to 8 mg Suboxone strip!! My company changed insurance at the beginning of 2016 and my new insurance covers strips and I'm back on them and it ISNT EVEN CLOSE strips last for me way longer period we can argue back and forth about this but everyone is different I don't give a crap about all the people you have talked to period!!!!

Like you (and I) said sweetie, everyone is different. I was taking the fact that the majority of everyone i had spoken to agreed, and scientifically is has a higher bio availability... instead of 8mg they give ya 5.7....soooo....scientists and a f***in' lotta people are insane i suppose. Im sure people that say strips are better had made up their mind well before the switch that strips will always be better...especially if they have tried the other junk pills. It is more effective on me, it dissolves quicker and tastes better. Strips are easier to break up since I'm not shovin' one or two down a day...trying to keep doses minimal and get better..not replace dope or pills for my entire life............ I would take either one on a s*** day, just sharing my experience!

GOSSEY: (and anyone else wanting to detox off of opioids) If you are able to go to a detox program and commit at least two weeks to going cold turkey, that would be the quickest way. But in reality most of us don't have the time or money to do that. So if you want to detox off of Subuxone in the "real world", my advice is to go down VERY SLOWLY. I am currently doing the same thing with Methadone tablets. I started off on 90mgs, and am down to 80 mgs, going down 5 mgs every 4 to 6 weeks. I have an event at the end of the month, and then I will be going down to 75 mgs. You need to make sure when you do go down, that you are fully adjusted to the last lowering of dose, or it will all catch up with you and you will be miserable. I would try lowering my dose 1 to 2 mgs at a time, depending on how much you are on now. Remember, with Bupe, you aren't going to feel the full effects of your lower dose for a few days. So don't think that after 2 days, you are fine. I would wait as long as possible before going down further, to make sure you are adjusted. For example, if you are on 16 mgs, go down to 14 mgs, wait 4 weeks or until you feel adjusted, then go down to 12 mgs. Once you get to below 12, I would go to dropping 1 mg instead of 2. I'm telling ya, don't rush it. You will end up feeling horrible and will probably end up using, or at least having to go back up on your dose. Totally counterproductive. When I am in the peak of detox, I usually take a Soma and a Clonidine before bed. Once I am to the point where I no longer need those to sleep at night, I wait a few more days to a week, and then lower my dose again. And there are many things to help with the symptoms you may experience.

Clonidine is a blood pressure medicine that is frequently used to help with opioid withdrawals. It will reduce the anxiety, skin crawling-type feelings (the heeby-jeebies) and help you relax/sleep. That feeling during withdrawal when you feel like you are going to come out of your skin and basically explode? Clonidine helps with that. Soma and flexeril are muscle relaxers that will help with any body aches, leg pains, and will also help you sleep. Benedryl can help with the sneezes, runny eyes, yawning, runny nose and again, sleep. I am in Colorado, so MMJ and CBD products have been helpful for me. (Go with the CBD-only products if you don't want the psychoactive effects of MMJ. There is no THC in them, which is what gets you "high" in MMJ. And if you are in a no-MMJ state, CBD-only products are legal) So you basically want anything that helps with the main symptoms of opioid withdrawal, which are pain, insomnia, anxiety and basically feeling crapola. If you have a great doctor like I do, tell him/her what you are doing and ask him/her to prescribe these things or something similar for detox. And if you can't get any of the above mentioned products, those over-the-counter Nyquil Liquid Gels help as well, being sure to get the night time ones (green) NOT the daytime ones (orange).

There is also a product being advertised on this very page called "Withdrawal Ease" which my help, but I have never used it, and I have not had time to research it. I am involved in medical research, and I was formerly on Bupe, so I have experience with this. I am also friends with an MD who is the leading Addiction Specialist in Denver, and he's basically a wealth of information and advice. He used to be the Addiction Specialist for the Denver Nuggets NBA team. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

To Brad, I 200% agree with you. Not even close. I was on sub for a 17 months and down to taking 1 a day... When the insurance made me switch I went into withdrawl. I upped my dose to 2 a day and to me that still wasn't a full 8mg sub.. I like the taste, and quick dissolve but everyone in my groups that I've talked too (approx 100 total) only about 5-7 had no problems. My Dr told me he has a patient who has Imsuramce and pays over $900 a month so he can take subs not Zub... There S***

At MT I really knew something was up when I would wake up at 1-1:30am and had the restless legs feeling well I took it as maybe it would go away welling never did my Dr had me at 45 a month and I was running out to soon cuz I would take a little piece to try and get back to sleep and it added up after a while! When I was in Subs I could take my evening dose at 3-4pm and still feel good when I woke up around 3-4am so my Dr went up to 60 for me and it helped but not like the subs. When the company I work for changed insurances at the beginning of the year and they covered subs I got my dr to switch me back but he went back down to 45 with the subs cuz he said I was already at a lower dose so he didn't want to go higher than I was which is BS I wish he would just keep me at 60 and leave me be!

Brad,
I dealt with the same things. That's how I knew was the restless legs... I wanted to die..! But my Dr is the BEST and knows I wasn't lying so he wrote a letter and I was switched that day. Still had to use em for 3 months so he had "proof" that they don't work on me... 2nd of all let's say u wanna quit.. The best way is to slowly taper to like a 1/8th or 1/16th of a sub over time then quit. How u gonna do it with those... I'm dealing w BS w my Xanax now.. These f***in pharmaceuticals!!!

Hard, I have 5 ruptures discs and 1 fusion.. (Not done by dr)... Suboxone or zubzolv don't help at all w my pain. I was in 109mcg fent every 2 days and 6 roxy 30 a day... I HIGHLY recommend methadone.. It's proven that methadone works better in over 100mg... I have a HUGE tolerance. If I told you what I used to do a day you would never believe me... But when pills were out I took 120mg of methadone.. Worked way better than fent and roxy... But I enjoyed smoking 3-4 gel gents a day and that lead to the needle ... I'm 35 and was on 3 80mg OXY a day at 18... So I know a thing or 2... But my opinion methadone... It works. U name a pain pill I've been on it. Literally... Methadone is an amazing med.. Has side effects long term but what doesn't.. I now take 3 8mg subs a day and 6mg Xanax... Pain is a constant 7 and a bad day which is 6 ota 7 days a week it's a 14... I'm a tradesman so work is WORK... And if uve never had pain don't tell me what works and what doesn't. Everyone is different but I'm just giving you my advice.. As far as Zubsolv u may as well take baby aspirin !!!! Good luck I know what ur going through...

It also looks like you're judging people here and that's not what this is about. I love how someone like u comes on here and tries to be a tuff ass and hide behind some username and try and bash people. u sure do throw some jabs in there trying to imply that me or others on here are just making s*** up. Well I sure wish I could see u in person and tell u this in your judgmental face and then see what u would say! Stay off here negative Annie!!!!

BRAD DUFRENE: I am confused....are you saying you are on 60 mgs of Suboxone? The ceiling dose is 32mgs, and I have hardly ever even heard of people being on THAT HIGH of a dose. Sorry....just really confused.
