I was taking zubsolv. For my taper, I had my doctor switch me to suboxone as I found it easier to divide into smaller pieces. The withdrawal symptoms I had were not too bad in retrospect, except for the insomnia. At first I could only sleep 2-3 at a time tops. Every few days I could sleep more and more though. I may have had a decent night where I would have a good 4-5 hours, then have only have 3 the following night. The point is that there is no set cycle. The insomnia lasted at most two weeks. My doctor was giving me Valium for the anxiety which helped but benzos are highly addicting so I wouldn't recommend that. I eventually tapered off of the Valium though.

We're you on zubsolv? If so how long did it take you to wean off, an how long did the withdrawals last

Nick,

You will eventually be able to get a full nights rest, do not worry. I know the amount of insomnia varies from person to person but do not worry, it will subside! Stay strong man!

Hang in there Nick. The time will seem like it's going slow but JUST HANG IN THERE! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. This is the best thing you will ever do for yourself. If you can, try exercising...force yourself if you have to. Ya gotta jumpstart those endorphins (the human body's natural drug to feel high on). It will also help you sleep. You're in my thoughts!

Hope

Hanging i there I work retail so the holiday is a tough time for me. Yesterday took the last .03 mg so far today I feel a little flu like typical mild withdrawl. I am very restless and a bit anxious but it is strange I get these moment where I feel awesome. Just taking a hour at a time and will get thru it.

Hey Ken,

I agree with you. I remember responding to your message a while back and I agree that what I said was pretty lame and not helpful really at all. I am only human though. I did a lot of stuff ( not everything) but most opiates for sure. No need to argue about it though. How are you holding up?

Best,

Joey

Dude....If you think the "label" junkie doesn't fit you you have yet another trait of a junkie....denial. Seriously dude you act like just because you hit the road of drug use from the doctor in ramp that you are better then a junkie? Hell I ONLY did H. Seems like you were doing everything under the sun an you are going to bad mouth junkies? Especially since clearly you know how hard it is to get off opiates. Or are you calling me for the mistake I made at the age of twelve. I was a kid. Made a stupid decision that as an adult I would have never done. An addict is an addict is addict. Get over yourself. We are all in the same battle. Drawing class lines is not going to help anyone....especially yourself.

I have looked a dozen times and just found it. I originally was looking for ways to live without fentanyl and hopefully lyrica so these drugs in discussion are unknown to me. Thank you Hope for your help.

Of course you can Brittany!!! It's ridiculous that the doses are so high in the first place. The hard thing about Zubsolv though is that the pills are very soft so use a very sharp razor blade when cutting it. Suboxone is so much easier because it comes in film form so it is easily cut into smaller doses. Wean yourself off the Zub slowly and get yourself off of it! This drug is nasty!!! Good luck sweetheart :-)

Can you break a 5.7/1.4mg Zubsolv? I heard you can't.... I don't want to do anything crazy with it, just want to see if I can cut the dose in half before going to the doctor on Monday to get lowered. Help please! Thanks!

FDA approves two higher dosage strengths of Orexo's ZUBSOLV

The new dosage strengths are 8.6 mg/2.1 mg and 11.4 mg/2.9 mg buprenorphine/naloxone CIII sublingual tablets. The 8.6 mg/2.1 mg dosage strength is expected to be launched early 2015 and the 11.4 mg/2.9 mg strength later in 2015.

The new dosage strengths complement the existing strengths of 5.7 mg/1.4 mg and 1.4 mg/0.36 mg tablets and enable patients to receive their optimal dose in one tablet.

The new strengths are made with the advanced, proprietary sublingual tablet formulation in ZUBSOLV providing higher bioavailability, a fast dissolve time, small tablet size, and menthol flavor

I wonder if most of the pain you are suffering is from chronic nerve pain--which would make sense as your nerve endings in one of your most sensitive extremity' swerve crushed. Even phantom pain is a brute! Ask your physician about lyrica or gabapentum. I have chronic pain in my sciatic nerve
where herniations calcified and made a stone pressing on nerve root. I have been taking fentanyl 75 mg transdermal patch but won't recommend it as withdrawal is a nightmare. I have been taking lyrica in fairly high doses..some use gabapentum. Might be worth a try. Next recommendation is medical marijuana Indicate Glass. Take only when you can't sleep for the extreme pain as our bodies quickly becomes immune to smallest dose.
Good luck!
